@Hansepans68 - hiya ,the singer is virginia david who also was in 70's band - Sailor - glass of champagne etc - great record but released when it was all about male singers and female singers didn't get a great deal of coverage against the boy george, wham's, duran's and spandau' guys that were all over the charts at that time, pity because damn good song
well.. i didnt know that.. the weird thing is..that Sailor's 'A Glass of Champagne' was on the telly earlier this evening..and i read this.. bit spooky ur right this really shoulda been a hit
Woke up this morning with this song in my head. Quite strange if you come to think last time I heard it was over 25 years ago on a pirate radio station in Amsterdam. I didn't remember who's the singer. Thanks for posting this great song!!
@h4rry50337 Strangely enough I've never heard the original version by Eye to Eye on the Dutch radio, so I only knew the version by Virginia David. Thanks for uploading it.
I cant believe ive found this on here (and only cos i played Ronny's "To Have and Have Not" so it was a suggestion).. I thought i might have been the only person who bought it.. but made up for it by playing it to death! Its got all the hooks necessary for a hit.. the music industry is so not fair THANK YOU for uploading this..im on my 4th listen!!! will check out Eye to Eye too x
I knew the original from Eye to Eye. I never heard this version before today...(december 2015) Never the less I find this a great sounding cover version. Thanks for making me discover it!
This Is Not The Original, That Was By Eye To Eye Late 79 Early 1980 I've Uploaded It Seeing Nobody Has Done It Yet ,Quiet Surprised As I Thought It Was A Great Tune & Still Do .....Julian Marshall Who Wrote It Was Formerly In A Duo With Kit Hain & Had A Chart Hit "Dancing In The City" Marshall & Hain..
A corker of a 80's track, this make over of the original (and a tad bland) of the Eye to Eye original by none other than Mr Andy Hill creator of Bucks Fizz. Definitely needs a 201? mix with Jay Aston on lead vocals.........
I never get sick of listening to this awesome 80s classic!
Classic 80's stuff this. One of those songs you can play on repeat and never get bored. Bonkers! I luv it!
DITTO...!!!
Crazy 80's tune that used to play the gay clubs of London at the time.Loved dancing to this one..Still sounds fresh today.
god i'd just started dancing in gay clubs then..i never heard it though..loved it!
Great to hear Ginny again - an underrated singer and a great time-capsule track!

Eye to Eye version is good, but I prefer this version, (it was the first heard). Anyway, like this today as much as I did then, great tune :-)

I can't stop thinking of Jeremy Vine listening to this tune. Would he have this on his playlist if he was interviewing Boris?
So sad its now its 30 years ago time goes by so soon
40 years now...yikes.

Eye To Eye - Am I Normal The Original Take A look
One no hit wonder! Great track though!
Another of those non-hit songs I heard on the radio, around March 1983. Under just the name David.
