It's supposed to be like "Lavender Castle" if you remove the extra letters (a ton of people put emphasis on the VEN which sounds super weird to me!!) (yes it's an L not an i)
I was thinking of rebranding to a different name entirely, but that's too much effort and a lot of people would be confused sooooo... yeah. Also fun fact the name lavencas was kind of a placeholder until I thought of something that sounded better, but my channel exploded way faster than I would've ever imagined and by that point it was too late...
Name change might happen eventually (I've been saying this since march...) but I'm afraid of people not liking it lol

What about the odds of there being a red chest in a curse room, the odds of you spawning directly next to a curse room, and the odds of you actually starting a run on that day.

If you frequently find yourself frustrated by being unable to take forget me now because of how it prevents you from being able to progress with your active item. I recommend the mod "forget me in 3 seconds", which gives you a couple of seconds to grab your active item before the floor is reset

btw, the odds of getting a devil deal is 1%x5% = 0.0005... which is already stupid low then, multiply that by 1/105... those are your odds (i can't do the rest of the maths lol)

0.0005 (0.05%) is the chance to get ANY golden item in a devil deal after being teleported. multiply that by 1/105 and you get 0.0000047619, so a ~0.000476% chance of a golden brimstone...
kinda low odds, not gonna lie
though there are items in the Devil item pool with weight lower than 1, so they're less likely to show up and, as a consequence, make Brimstone slightly less rare than it actually is (so it's not a 1/105 chance, probably a bit higher), though it doesnt make the odds much better
@@tremeschinion9420 late to the party, but you need to take into account that you see multiple items in the deal, which incrases the chance based on the number. Im not too familiar with the game, but i only saw the 2 items, (not sure if the little bag counts), so if i did the math right the chance comes out at 0.000962% (i rounded up) or about 1/100,000.

Interaction farming goes brrr, let's do more math than neccessary. We'll figure it out going backwards.
1. The chance of a specific item being gold is 1/100, 1%
2. The chance for a Devil Room to contain brimstone:
This chance depends on which devil room layout you get, you can get 0, 1, 2 or 3 devil deals in one room, I can't find what are the odds of those layouts so I'll assume the odds are respectively 10%/30%/30%/30%
10% chance * 0 deals
30% chance for 1 deal, you said that there are 105 devil items so I'll go with that, 1/105
30% chance for 2 deals: 1/105 for the 1st deal + if it fails, 1/104 (since it won't pick the item already spawned again)
30% chance for 3 deals: 1/105 + 1/104 + 1/103
Adding these odds up gives us 32343/1874600 for us to find a brimstone in a random devil room (which is roughly 1.72%)
Of course I'm assuming that first the normal items are picked and THEN t-isaac alternatives get picked, otherwise it would be a bit more complicated.
3. The chance for a Curse Room to contain a red chest that will teleport you to a Devil Room:
As with Devil Rooms I can't find accurate data regarding layout odds, but since Curse Rooms more commonly contain a pedestal or some pickups instead of a chest, I'll go with 25%/25%/25%/25% for 0/1/2/3 chests.
This part is a bit more simple since a teleport can show up multiple times unlike brimstone
25% \* 5% when you have only one chest
25% \* (1-95%^2) for 2 chests
and 25% \* (1-95%^3) for 3 chests
Together: 2321/32000, about 7.25% chance for a curse room to have a teleport to devil room
4. Finally, 2321/32000 to teleport to Devil Room from a Curse Room, times 32343/1874600 for that Devil Room to have a brimstone for sale and 1/100 for that brimstone to be gold:
**75,068,103/5,998,720,000,000 or ~0.00125%, 1 in ~80,000** which is a bit better than 1 in 200,000 (0.005%) mentioned in the video, but not by much. The naive approximation of 1/100 for gold, 1/100 for brimstone and 1/20 for teleport is MUCH quicker but is off by a factor of ~2 which mainly comes from the fact that devil rooms on average contain 2 items and not 1.
Also my calculations might be COMPLETELY off cuz I had to guesstimate the room layout odds but whatever, I'll substitute the correct odds if I find them.
