Yes, so for older shoes that are rare or have high value, you would use a donor pair that is newer and not really high value. The reason you use a new pair is so that you give the shoes you are restoring another 10 years or so of life.
These remind me of the 2013 Jordan 3 Retro 88’s. Both are White Cements, have a painted Nike Air backtab, and an outsole that says Jordan and not Nike.
I have a pair of NMD R1 Tokyo Editions and they are . dirty. I want to clean them but am worried about peeling off the lettering across the shoe. What should I do?
