      i have been notified of this, however, i have to break up the video somehow to minimize copyright problems. many times i get taken to task for paying more attention to the video than the song, now it's going the other way around. it's a difficult balance, especially when i can get a video taken down for not breaking it up right. I see what you're saying, but it's an unfortunate aspect of the reaction video space.

    Never finish a Rammstein video before they do that!!!! If you had watched it, which is a matter of respect and, yes, we need this 45 seconds, you would have realized what the video is about. Definitiv not about racism.

    Greetings and Love from Köln/Cologne, Germany. Hey, your 'deutsch', german, is great. Hehe..but, man, never stop the video...hihi, sorry, just kiddn..unbelieveable how often you've had to explain why..it is how it is..cannot imagine how much work you have to put into your videos and how much struggle you have with TH-cam & Copyright shit. Sorry, but i don't get it anyway...some reacters get blocked, others don't...both with the same video. Weird and strange...however, thanks alot, buddy...just came across your channel and like you...i've subcribed and hope for some more Manowar, Iron Maiden and maybe some Gary Moore reactions...I saw Gary live once in 1989, unbelieveable...and three weeks ago i saw Iron Maiden live here in Cologne. "Der Schwarze Mann" is a game/song about the plague and a so-called bogeyman whose skin turned black due to the disease: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_bulldog_(game)#Black_Man you're welcome
    To me, it means that Rammstein's song is about building walls (and have Mexico pay for it) or have no gun control whatsoever, and basing it all on a fear of the bogeyman.

    "Who's afraid of the black man?" is a children's game often played in PE classes.
    There is a catcher (the black man) and the other players try not to be caught by him. For example, the "black man" stands at the other end of the gym. He shouts "Who's afraid of the black man?" while his opponents shout "Nobody".
    Before it starts, he continues asking "What if he comes?" - the answer, "Then we run."
    The goal of the "opponents" is now to reach the other end of the hall without being touched, while the catcher runs towards them. Whoever is caught becomes the catcher. The winner is the one who is caught last. So much for the theory.
    A few years ago, there was a discussion about whether the game was racist. Who knows Rammstein, knows that they like to provoke with such topics and it may well be that Till just therefore came up with the idea for the song.

    The "black man" in this sentens have nothing to do with a black person. "Wer hat Angst vorm schwarzen Man" ist in German a sportsgame for kids.The name "Schwarzer Man" geos back to the 15 centry and its just a illustration for the "Death". But in this song it have a doublemeaning, because so many amaricans are affraid of black people for no reason. And you can see in the video how they react when they are affraid. And as a German I hear my inner voice responding to "How is affraid for the black man?"(as the kids usaly in the game do) "None!" And than you see the picture of the videos and you thing: "There are affraid of the black man", but the kids are not.

      i have since been notified of the game; thank you though. i confess I'm pretty uneducated about smaller aspects of German culture, so I come across boorish and ignorant.

    There are many methapors in this song. I believe it was for a reason mostly nazi germany/kaiserreich coloursare used, but also US american stereotypes used in it(cheerleaders, american rifles). For us germans we have a common crisis in the society how to deal with immigration do to the syrian war/other conflicts, many germans(also inflicted to massiv headlines in the media fueling hate) are more and more blind hating all migrants, saying germany is destroyed by crimes/rapes (not reading the official data, that this only happens in very rare cases, mostly in the big cities were crime is everytime higher regardless). But regardless they paroting phrases without questioning
    You see at the start the neighbours having BBQ(yes germans love BBQ too, its an old stereotype image of the old conservativ german in his garden) all friendly chatting and enjoy life. Then they consume Media(the politican is not specific, just a populistic politican wining the people by spreading fear and hate), Till said it in the lines that we learn as childs to fear all kind of things because of old rules told by the parents to cut them in line with the rules(not questioning if some of this rules are right). With the constant consume of fear from the internet and media, they fear everything and arm themself(in fear of the endless mass of enemies), but also walling themself, isolating from the neighbours they liked before, seeing danger at every corner. The last escalation is the collaps of society. the politican loses his strapjacket and is free to roam and spreat even more hate and fear, he won. The boogie mans with their plates feast on the generated hate(maybe a symbol for the people in the back that making profit from the society in fear(NRA for example).
    The Cheerleaders are the "fans" that support different agendas. Nowadays im very worried about the USA because, germany has conflicts but not on that scale at the moment. I fear this movements because i dont agree with both, far right and left are wrong in their doing. The US have nothing that would fall in that cathegory, from my perspective both ruling parties are the same. The conservativ are center right and the democrats are center right, both parties play the same path, nothing big changes, the dems sometimes change a bit left stuff in(if you call that left). For a german nothing i see in th US is nearly left, just different flavours of....garbage. This is nothing new but the tone is more agressiv, everyone has to stand on a side, has to have a "Team". Beeing neutral is not an option anymore and this is a crisis for a society. Both parties blame eachother for the same, calling eachother dumb and totally wrong. This determinates all dialogs and any sort of agreement of basic things, only beeing angry little Kids that only see Black and White(the Point why you only see black and white in the video, apart from the hate in red, there is no place for grey).
    For germans the "schwarze Mann" means literally "Black man" and also "Boogy Man", we know it all from child games. One against a group of people, the one screams"Who fears the black man?" the other kids on the other side scream "Nobody!". Then the other kid shouts"And when he comes?" - the other kids "then we run!" and then the one kid runs after the kids and the kids have to go behind the kid without getting caught. This game has no racist background at the start(the black man is more like a shadow man not black skin), but this changed over the years and in the colonization era and now in modern times its more seen critical. To let kids be in fear of the unknown and fear the things they dont know, many teachings in old german traditions are connected to educate children with fear to make them behave good. The last part with the TV watching immigrants in camps(like in greek at the moment), closing the circle because we life in different worlds.
    The lazy germans sitting in their living room eating sweets fearing the immigrants that come one day, the immigrant with the phone seeing the peaceful life of the germans, want to be free and peaceful away from were they come from. A repeating circle of false mind sets. The sweets they are eating are "Negro kisses", a controversial Marshmallow on a waffle with chocolate cover. This name was very popular in the 1980-1990 and got changed in the 2000 to "chocolate kisses", maybe a reminder of Rammstein that we are on a long way getting away of this old hate/fearful mindset.
    Also a small detail, the shout from the cheerleaders is "DU!" which means "YOU!" in english. So it is a reminder that we all fear the boogey man, even when we dont admit it. In the end everyone fears the boogey man.
    The advice is clear,dont consume to much news/hatespeaches(internet trolls included), go out, connect with your closer friends, family, neighbours, people around you and dont get tricked in everything is so bad in this world...the world is beautiful and colourful if your eyes arent blinded. Bring colour in your life.

    "der Schwarzemann" is just the personalized ego of bad things.
    We had a game in School when i was a kid called, " wr hat Angst vom schwarzen Mann" who is afraid off the black man, it all has nothing to do with any skin color,
    That those guys all where white guys, it's just because, all the actors where the band members
    If you would have watched the video to the end (what you should do with Rammstein anyway) you would have a better understanding what's the video is about, it's about that we are living in a world which is controlled by fear
    With many Rammstein songs, you need to get your self more information about, as till writes the texts in poem form, which is hard to translate 1:1

    • @JammersMetalMischief
      @JammersMetalMischief  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1-thanks very much for the info. I had indeed come to that conclusion, but it can be difficult to be certain. 2-you can't dig too far into bands or individual songs if a reaction is to be authentic. when you know too much, the reaction becomes colored. 3-copyright problems can arise when too much of the video is used, or there are not enough breaks or talking over the song. so cutting it off soon as the song is done is usually a good way to not get in trouble. thanks very much for watching and taking the time to comment!

    • @danielfahrion2603
      @danielfahrion2603 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Peter_Cetera not sure what makes you so, totally sure, that I'm wrong?
      First of all, i explained him what the black man reverse to and that is not the Boogeyman, as so many people get wrong, it's a personalist Ego of bad things and people
      Second, i explained him, that the reason those people in the video are white, has nothing to do with racism, it's just because that's all the band members and they are naturally white
      Yes, the song scratches on the racism part as well, but when you listen to the text, it's more about, that the media, governments and big cooperations tells us to be afraid off different kinds of stuff, also other skin color
      Doesn't makes it a song about racism, but if you want to see it that way, i never would say you are wrong with that, as Rammstein never explained nor will explain any of their songs and exactly for the reason, that anybody can Interpret the song how they want
      So if you tell me , I'm wrong, i tell you,i can't or proof me wrong
      If you tell me, I'm totally wrong, i tell you, start to get a little bit more information about Rammstein, because your " typical Rammstein" comment, indicates, that you oviasly like Rammstein, which is great, but you also don't know much about them 😜

    • @JammersMetalMischief
      @JammersMetalMischief  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      First, thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
      Stuff i learned about copyright once i started making videos:
      there's a lot of things that go into copyright-sometimes, it's cleared of copyright from publication; sometimes, the reaction will only be blocked in some countries; sometimes all that happens is that the original rights owner gets all your ad revenue; sometimes you get a take down notice and your channel gets a copyright strike, and three of those at any one time and you lose your channel. Already gotten one of those.
      Sometimes the record company will claim the music, and sometimes it will claim the video, and sometimes it will claim BOTH. So you have to dispute 2 things instead of one.
      There's only one instance where reacters get any money at all, and we have to hope all the other circumstances except the strike just end up attracting people to the channel so that the videos that aren't claimed make some money. This is how they "manage". People think copyright is no problem for other channels *merely* because the channels just don't talk about it. But it's the single biggest concern to reacters. So I talk about it. They take this hit with 100 videos that get them ONLY views and no money, and hope that those videos point people to the 35 videos that CAN make money.
      One of the bigger song guys, Lboyd, says he misses 20,000 dollars a month of income because of claimed copyright. He just doesn't mention it mid video. He made a video about making money on youtube and went on extensively about it.
      We have to maximize the chances of each and every video being cleared for use by stopping, changing, rewinding (which i should do more often) and stopping things early. It's a complete crapshoot so standardizing the way we end videos can help.
