The low sub count is because of the low quantity of content, not the quality. You dont grow much when you release 10-15 min of content every 3 weeks. Thats just how youtube works sadly
Great vid. I'm a big fan of the sort of preamble style, definitely reinforces the idea that the story isn't over. It reminds me somewhat of the mission overviews from the old Medal of Honor games. Top notch.

Glad you like the "codex" format. We're playing around with a new type of format for a new series but we don't plan to get rid of the Codex. Works well for long histories and events!
I guess I should have explained. The animations and models are what I absolutely love. But please keep the codex. Maybe for an added effect at the start have a magic quill or arcane sigil make the first object appear?
Oh, derp! I took 'open book' format as our literal codex format hahaha. A quill would be a neat idea if we could find a decent model for one! Will keep in mind :D
When we did our 'History of the Suramar and the Nighthold", I wrote it as a 'Military debriefing in Dalaran' which was something I had never done before. All our other videos were 'in character' but this was obviously more focused. We took a gamble with it and people loved the layout for the last video so we knew months ago that our Tomb episode was going to be a direct continuation of our Nighthold video and done in the same format. You can expect this same sort of format for the next raid ;)

Question: Do you guys think that after the fight with Sargaras’ Avatar and the guardian’s corruption. Sargaras influenced her to bury the Avatar there? Hey there I love your videos and I wanted to say I really admire your work. So keep it up. Just one question though. Between Gul'dans first visit and second. Didn't Illidan go there to fetch the Eye of Sageras aswell as skull ? I remember it because of the Warcraft 3 campaign. Illidan used the eye to try and shatter the frozen throne. Did I miss something ?
You didn't miss a thing! Initially, the first script did have Illidan and Maiev Shadowsong 's WC3 campaign in it. We decided to cut it for a few reasons: first, this video was already getting way too long. As much as love making 16 minute long videos, this took a whole month of production time which isn't ideal for making consistent content. The second reason was because I had enough written about it that I decided I might save it for a future 'untold chapter' episode. I plan to incorporate the Warcraft 3 Mission, Maiev's hunt for Illidan and their team up in the upper part of the Tomb in the Cathedral of Eternal night for a whole video. Not sure when that'll happen, but we cut it with the expectation we'll come back to it!

Although I love your vids and think blizzard should hire you...there’s one thing I have to point out. You skipped 2 major plot events that happened there during the first guldan going there and the second guldan. First event (and probably less known by people) is when Maim and Rend Blackhand went there with a death knight (soulsomething forgot his name not really an important character) and a few warriors to retrieve the skull of guldan in the aftermath of the second war to take it to Nerzhul so that he could use it to open portals to different worlds and this lead to deathwing taking the skull when he went to outland with his flight being slaughtered by khadgar turalyon and some other humans with the aid of the gronns. This lead to the kirin tor retrieving the skull sending it with a wildhammer through the dark portal with other artifact as the portal closed and the skull ending somehow in the hands of the legion during the third war and illidan retrieving it and taking it’s powers for himself which leads us to the second event where illidan absorbing the skull got guldan’s memories including those of the tomb and decided to go there with the help of the naga to get the eye of sargeras and use it to help him defeat the lich king later. There he was followed by none other that Maiev Shadowsong and he basically collapsed the temple on her troops and she had to leave Naisha behind to die. (Naisha is a wq boss there too and was supposed to be one of the 3 sisters) but all this would’ve made the video significantly longer so I can get why you would want to skip it but it’s still additional information if people want it :)
Much of those plot lines (Retrieval of the skull, Deathwings battle with Khadgar, Guldan skull ending up in the Legions hand and Maievs whole plot with the Tomb) were trimmed out or put aside since the video was already going 12 mins +. We will definitely cover those plot lines in more relevant stories (Alliance expedition to Outland or Maiev’s storyline). We’ll get there eventually! But thanks for the highlights! Helpful for anyone who doesn’t want to wait for us to get to those plots!
The Lost Codex well you could use it to make a video about the alliance expedition since we just met Alleria and Turalyon back and maybe tie it to the new audio novel. But anyway whatever you do I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. Your videos are of very high quality. Keep it up!

This was something we struggled with timeline was but here’s the conclusion we came to: The Suramar Highborne used the pillars to seal the Legions second portal within the Temple (now known as the Tomb of Sargeras). After this, the Pillars were sent across the surrounding region (possibly to prevent the Legion from focusing in on their Vault of Antiquities) and the Tidestone was sent to Nar’Thalas. From there, Farondis tried to use the tidestone to destroy the Well of Eternity and shut down the Legions main gateway. He was the betrayed by someone in his court, Azshara was warned and she went to Azsuna and completely shattered it and destroyed the surrounding region. It’s a little wonky
There's a few times it referred to as "the Breach". Original script had it named "Felstorms breach" but i wasn't liking how it sounded! So we changed it slightly.
Great question! There is no "alternate Archimonde" or "alternate Legion" for that matter. Archimonde, KJ and the Legion transcend all realities and exist as a single multi-verse threat. The Archimonde we faced on Draenor was the same we stopped at Hyjal. The only "alternate" figure involved was Gul'dan.

Good stuff, but you use the word horror too often. It doesn't really do much good to refer to every last enemy in such a way; no perspective change is felt between even Xavius and Sargeras himself, the way things are presented. Surely, if the Tomb is meant to horrify me, the Emerald Nightmare might only be a concern?

There's a few times it referred to as "the Breach". Original script had it named "Felstorms breach" but i wasn't liking how it sounded! So we changed it slightly.

I still don't understand how did "our" KJ know that the "alternate" Archimonde send "alternate" Gul'Dan to "our" Azeroth?
Great question!
There is no "alternate Archimonde" or "alternate Legion" for that matter. Archimonde, KJ and the Legion transcend all realities and exist as a single multi-verse threat. The Archimonde we faced on Draenor was the same we stopped at Hyjal. The only "alternate" figure involved was Gul'dan.

Intentionally skipped actually! Maiev and Illidans story in WC3 had a decent enough content in our script when we were already way over our "time budget" in terms on video length. I made the choice to cut their mention with the intent to have a Maiev/Illidan tomb story that features both their WC3 story and their adventures in the Cathedral of Eternal night.
Good stuff, but you use the word horror too often. It doesn't really do much good to refer to every last enemy in such a way; no perspective change is felt between even Xavius and Sargeras himself, the way things are presented. Surely, if the Tomb is meant to horrify me, the Emerald Nightmare might only be a concern?
