1) There is a move to firstly cancel it on serve receive... 2) It does not help you in beach. 3) The ball passed has a better trajectory. 4) Easy to learn if you bump set.

I currently coach a group of 13 year old girls (some play for about 4 years, some started a few months ago) and some just get used to the fundamentals but some girls can start to use advanced techniques like this to reach the next level.
I'm really looking forward to this. Keep up the new stuff (I like the older videos on your site aswell, watched nearly all of them two years ago :) ), but the new videos on teaching and the beach-game (+analysis) are great aswell. Maybe if you got time after the summer, I'd really appreciate an analysis-video of your AVP-match or a match of men you coach on tactics (whom to serve, why, how - how to choose and execute a certain gameplan vs what team,...).

you should put your arms a bit higher while you wait for the ball to come because you dont know how the ball will curve or especially if the ball floats its pretty hard to receive it with digging and way easier with upper
I am an Indian.... We Play Volleyball everyday in a very small village where only very few people konws about this game. We only pass boll from one side of net to another.... No one is good attacker in team No one is teaching to us... And we can't afford coach due to fees and travel expenses for learning in city... Thanks sir for your efforts in this video... When coaching 30 boys you just met in High School and you are teaching them how to behave, act as a team and be thoughtful of one another you sometimes need to be a little tougher on them.
