The Players horn section? No words really... these cats knew their craft inside out, back to front and top to bottom. On an entirely different level musically. R.I.P. Sugar. Rock. Pee Wee and Satch. Forever remembered

The horns! I just love them. Stone groove.
There was no other band at the time playing this sweet sticky funk. They were ahead of their times with songs like Rollercoaster, Fire, Fopp and a few others.

You know they were lip syncing, right? Look on line, and find some of their performances. Sound quality is not as good, because they are live. But the live performances are wayyyy better then the lip syncing. You'll really enjoy that!

Prince once said this bassline would make Stephen Hawking get up and dance. Somehow you can't help but think this incredible horn section is backing him up in the Great Beyond.

❤❤❤❤The Ohio Players live...was fierce in 19889!! I saw them live at an indoor concert in Dayton, Ohio, while in the U.S. Air Force. The band rolled in late but sounded like the records they produced.
Marshall always said "God left the stank off his feet in Dayton Ohio".....Truth....

Ohio Players, succinct and to the point! Here's the deal...BREAKING NEWS: Either 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5+ artists in collaboration...Black men can sing, folks!!! Because of a whole lot of our experiences in America, Black men still bring you the passion and the funk of loving their women, hating their social situation, and expressing their feelings in a way that is unprecedented in American music; as well as far beyond and clearly throughout the world. Because, if we can create this type of music, while going through all that we do go through in this land, then what can I tell you about all of the above? So, my advice? Well, simply engage yourself with a real Black man, or perhaps a little Black child, and then continue to ride the wave of exceptional human spirit exemplified by Black male voices deriving from the United States of America. Oh yes, this is certainly grand, and you will have absolutely no regrets moving forward in your life once you embrace it. In the meantime, we can only wish all of you folks...all of the best!
