- Chinese EP40: this episode is a listening practice for mandarin learners. I talk about how I identified my learning challenges and came up with ideas, sticking to it for 3 months, which brought me improvement.

Anything related to Chinese, you ever knew or heard of, could help you learn the language. This program gives lot of such hints to make it easier (and hopefully fun as well). Let`s use our wildest imagination. Let`s bring all possible connections. Let`s not limit ourselves in language learning (and pretty much in anything).

A very exciting video, Jiayi! Wow, I learned 4 languages as I was growing up. German was one of them. Then I became an English and a German teacher. That's when I realised how hard German was for Portuguese speakers. However, nothing compares to Mandarin. Mandarin is a straightforward language and its grammar is quite simple. The problem for me is the tones, homophones and the exquisite writing. You know what I've been doing? I've been memorizing Tang poems. It's hard work, but I feel more and more confident about the tones. Besides, you get meaningful contents. Thank you kindly for your beautiful work! ❤

You're very good at making the difficult look easy. What was the app that you used to parrot and speed up or slow down a starting and ending point in a video? Not sure I can speak English, maybe studying other languages will help. Thanks for sharing your beautiful brain. : )
Hi! You may search video player in app stores. I used a Chinese one. apps with the functions I mentioned are very common these days I guess and you should be able to get it in any language search...

我特别推荐DW deutsche Welle上的德语学习版块，资料非常全，而且提供下载。这应该是德国政府资助的项目，对所有人免费开放。我就是坚持听坚持看这里面的某两三类节目。它有app，但我更喜欢它的网站，内容更多。
