One thing I learned in college was what separates you is the work you do outside of what the program requires. Everybody does the mandatory workouts, but what are you working on when you’re not required to be there? That and who you hang around is what will elevate your game. Don’t be afraid of extra work and don’t cheat yourself or your brothers, go all out!
I gotta add this comment. I’ve been watching hall since 7th grade. Since Webs was in 8th grade at Western. I just committed to play fcs football at Davidson football. I won’t lie the coaches been sweet cause we not there yet. But this video was great insight and added perspective. Really been riding wit y’all since the beginning. Glad you out here doing your thing I’ve been keeping up with you, what I’ve learned is having a healthy relationship with your coaches…I didn’t have that..I was kicked off 3 times because I wanted to do extra work with the track team and that’s who I started with before walking on to football at ECU….The head coach belittle me and made me feel less of a man because I wanted to play for this team he held that over me and I never got my opportunity being one of the most hard working guys and for sure one of the most talented…So not knowing where you stand and not having that relationship can definitely skew your experience I pray you get those opportunities and you work for them to prove you deserve it keep going

I play football at Clemson rn and one thing I can say is fall camp is the most mentally challenging thing I’ve had to deal with football wise. Just be prepared for it to be hard but it’s all worth it in the end.
My college experience made me more organized and disciplined learning how to navigate on life it a little stressful with school but you have people to help you but college athletes life is great
I can only imagine I went D2 and I seen guys miss opportunities from off the field issues every week….Our Rb was the face of the team my guy didn’t have his chinstrap bucketed up during a live rep they pulled him out now he missing reps right somebody else made more of the opportunity and he didn’t get the start that Saturday eventually his idc attitude got him kicked off between that and the lifts you got to have some kind of the dawg in you mentally and physical plus classes
Camp is no joke…considerably easier these days. We had freshmen camp for three days (2-a-days full pads) then camp started (14 days of 2-a-days full pads and scrimmages). Fun times lol
My coach benched me my sophomore year because he didn’t like me I was the best wr on the team. I’m transferring tho , any advice to deal with coaches who play favorites and how to mentally prepare for stuff like that
Just get better there’s nothing you can do but get good get so good that the team doesn’t succeed without you and keeping you out will only cause negative things. Just work you have another year or two all you have to do is put in the work
