You are the most metacognitive person I've ever seen on the internet. Really challenging content for me, and it's fantastic. "Everything is valuable" is how I'm trying to think these days as well. Optional counter-donation: Could you give a short rundown of fractals? I've heard you use that term on your channel

OMG this is not the crossover I was expecting but I love both of your guys’ content, and, just thinking abt it now, it’s very similar in a way, like u have the same aesthetic goop, as Receptor might put it🫶

Wow thank you this means more than I know how to put into words!
As for fractals, I use this term as a sort of archetype rather than building off a specific definition. I believe that the world contains effectively infinite complexity and value. To describe this concept I use fractals, as their highly complex, but self similar, structure makes it a little easier to intuitively grasp my underlying concept (or at least I hope).
The inherent self-similarity seems like an important conceptual feature to explore more in the future, although it seems to contain more utility than I can really describe at this stage. Sometimes you’ve got to embody the idea before you can actually grasp the nuances or utility of the smaller facets, as far as I can tell!

Hey, Yuri here. What you are experiencing is similar to what we have experienced in the midst of fight or flight, like a dulling of the natural inputs to your brain that when overwhelmed, nullify themselves and allow you to see everything clearly, quite literally silencing the other voices/thoughts through overload of experience. Or in plural system speak, "pushing out everyone who can't or doesn't want to handle the experience".
Just our experience. Good luck on your journey. 🤙🏻

The unapologeticness of raves- as well as high energy or especially emotionally impactful shows where you become entirely absorbed in it- make them stand out as some of the more influential parts of my human experience. Everyone feels so uniquely themselves in these spaces, and once you lean into it, you experience tranquility. I feel so in-my-body, living in the moment. You mention the hyper sobriety and linear thinking, almost meditative state- when combined with meaningful music and your own expression- you start having such meaningful discoveries about yourself, life, the world, etc. Live music is such a beautiful form of expression and connection

i never thought someone could combine spiritual intuition about the universe with an almost mathematical model of cognition and existence in such a meaningful way

You remind me of me when I was manic but like in a good way. My mania was far less coherent and less substantial but the creativity and constant drawing of connection relates. Part of me misses those days simply for the sheer abstract thought I was capable of.

    “Life always gives us
    exactly the teacher we need
    at every moment.
    This includes every mosquito,
    every misfortune,
    every red light,
    every traffic jam,
    every obnoxious supervisor (or employee),
    every illness, every loss,
every moment of joy or depression,
    every addiction,
    every piece of garbage,
    every breath.
    Every moment is the guru.”

The uncorrelated (but absolutely not random), asynchronous quality of a rave respects your boundary between the self and the environment, that Independence combined with how regular humans are is basically giving you so much information that it provides endless opportunities for interaction. That is where virtual nondeterminism meets physical determinism. Raves allow you to experience complexity. Very special to experience in the West.

Cool stuff, I have similar thoughts when I'm at raves, although I go to the more corporate insomniac events. The overstimulation feels so lucid it almost feels like a trance. One difference in the bigger events with more production and massive crowd sizes brings a sort of grand edict of hedonism that the DJ places on the crowd, it has direct interplay like the crowd is feeding a rave deity which removes our boundaries and inhibitions. It really reminds me of 40k and how the materium and immaterium feed off of eachother for this cyclic geyser of emotion that lasts as long as there is life. We all become Slanneshi cultists at raves lol.

8:00 totally disagree, the nature of cause and effect determines that there is a specific thing you will be doing, and do not have the potential to have done something different given the same material conditions
