    Love the idea to have a mirror in front of you! Thank you for the real education. So many content creators these days say they’re going to teach you something, but either don’t have the skills to be able to teach you at the level you need or they gatekeep the actual content that you need to learn. So thank you for giving us real and useful information

      Yes they survive. In fact most places would ship your flowers 3 days in advance and you must have them in a cool environment in water. I did mine own the night before, wouldn’t recommend it unless you have committed people that will help you.

    Hi! Why did you make a vertical cut down the base of the tulip stem? What did you do to prep the tulips before making the bouquet? I'm planning on making a wedding bouquet for my sister and using white clearwater tulips, any advice? 😊

    • @PassifloraStudio
      @PassifloraStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Allison! Tulips are one of the few flowers that continue growing after they're cut, so, when they are arranged often times they will be drooping and then they next day they are standing upright, which changes your design. Making the cut slows the flow of nutrients/sap to the blossom which causes the flower to be less likely to stand upright.
      Best wishes on your sister's bouquet!! xx

    Love your content! I'm getting married next year, and am using youtube to learn how to make my own bouquets. Do you have any tips for maintaining the integrity of the flower until the ceremony, i.e. keep them in a certain temp water, dip in alum, use flower food, etc.? Thank you!

    • @PassifloraStudio
      @PassifloraStudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's great! Congratulations on your engagement, and, for teaching yourself flower skills!
      We just keep a nice fresh cut on the bouquet stems, and keep changing out the water with fresh water (we don't use food here, only when processing). Keep the flowers in a cool, dark spot, with fresh water and you should be fine! Finishing Touch is also a nice product to spray on the bouquet to keep it fresh.
      Best of luck Megan! xx
