"Lay" folks need to be feeding themselves with God's word. People need to stop relying on their pastors for spiritual growth. Your pastor doesnt get you into Heaven. We need to be reading word and checking these pastors theology because alot of them are being influenced by Rome. Even the sda church is uniting with Rome.

More Adventist need to look at Reform 7th day Adventist. Preachers lives wouldn’t be shortened. This is recommended EGW. Pastors need be outside church bringing peoples to God. Lay folks can feed the sheep in church.

Pastors aren't developing their elders and decons to be teachers and counselors . To engage and Shepard their support system and teach t hem to do the same.
Decons csn do more, when they are allowed, to help a nd assist. Not just janitorial or maintenance.
Elders can visit, take communion to shutins and care patients, lead pray mtg periodically or quarterly. Be more involved with the community programs, run them, train others.
EACH ONE, TEACH ONE is more than bible study, its shepherding the new to grow into a sharing shepherd who duplicates him or herself.
Evangelism is more if the enthusiastic new converts are sharing what they just learned.
Ask any gamging nerd, you share and pass on to make your team better and more successful.
Their souls success depends on yours and the reverse.
