- Got some Dakota Decoys for Christmas and I'm impressed! Really like these decoys alot. It takes No wind to get these decoys moving in the water. Rogers Sporting Goods has a great deal on these decoys.

Hands down the best decoys I’ve used. This is my third season with them
Good to hear!
How’s paint holding up?
They look just as good as the day I got them
Sweet!
You won’t be disappointed man
I love the Greenhead gear pro series they have just such great detail and look amazing
AxianX are my favorite nice paint job, light, durable, and good movement with light wind.
I use dakota decoys and love them! They have a larger profile than a lot of other brands and even the normal dakotas seem to move with little to no wind. Love love love all their decoys
Good to hear positive feedback
This is a great idea for folks that have to pack decoys in a long distance. The more in each bag the better.
Ya it really is
Yeah buddy those decoys are cool never seen them before 👍🏻
thank you for this video man I've been checking these out didn't know what they were like this helps a lot.
Glad I could help!
Those look like some great decoys. I like the ghg pro-grade dekes. I have some old flambeau pontoon perimeter mallards that I love and wish they still made them. Good luck on your next hunt and keep the great vids coming👍👍
Ghg pros are good too.
These decoys are the bees knees! Glad you showed how easy they move because many times when my AvianX or BigFoot decoys are not moving, my Dakotas are all dancing around. They seem to hold up well as I am now at the end of my 2nd season. Great review.
Great, good to hear, hopefully they hold up for us just as well
Great review Titus, thnx, may have to try some, weights an issue the way i hunt, these may be perfect! Rocky's awesome!!!
They’re the lightest decoy I’ve felt yet
I got the regular DD mallards end of Oct awesome decoy
👍🏼👍🏼
Avian x , but the tangle free is good too, smaller and lighter so easier when you need to walk in
As I have reached my senior years, I have ditched large decoy bags, animal carts, and hard decoys. My grandson and I use Featherlite inflatables from Cherokee sports. They deflate to almost nothing and I can carry 12 to 18 in a backpack. Any wind at all gives you movement, and 1 oz weights keeps them in place. They use a duck photoprint instead of paint, so they look real good on the water.
As a younger man I will listen to your words of wisdom. I’ve been trying to figure out who makes those featherlite decoys thanks!
@@MidValleyMercenaries Cherokee sports makes them but I believe they went out of business. I can't find them anymore
I’ve heard that
I love flocked decoys but can run them because you can get the ice off the heads
Never thought of that
I really like these packables by Dakota.
They look great in a spread, but I really love how light they are!
I don’t pack them down, just Texas rigged and drop them in a large bag.
Their a great way to mix up the spread without adding a lot of weight. And they look just as good mixed in with my avians and hard body dakotas. I’ll definitely be getting more!
Great to hear!
I like the Tangle Free Pro Series. I like them because they are very realistic. They aren’t heavy. They have multiple tie off points. They are just an all around good decoy
They are good stuff
I have some of the old ones with no keel that have photo imposed I think they're I think they're feather light and they really work well on a jerk string
Are they the ones that made featherlight?
Yeah those are the ones I could fit 6 in my backpack three of them on a jerk string and three set normal and go get lost deep into mendota wilderness
Those Dakota decoys man they look good you put those on a jerk string in mendota they'll be deflated in about
Minute
You'll have all the levee slayers around you
Love u guys vids man!! Love how u guys ALWAYS keep it REAL!!! Showing the good and the bad!! LOVE IT!!!
Appreciate it!!
I was just talking up my tanglefree decoys the other day and now the paint is starting to chip.. guess it’s about that time to get some new ones.
Ya it does chip. I spray that clear coat on and it helps but...pretty good deal to me to get a dozen for $120
I’m curious to see how they hold up.. I’ve always strayed away from inflatables because the valve stems tend to leak, but I haven’t heard anything about the Dakota’s.
Good luck on Saturday. We’re hunting the delta in the morning and then we might jump onto the refuge on Saturday.
Ya I’m curious too.
Thanks and Good luck too!
@@MidValleyMercenaries I hunted Dakota Packables all season, they still look brand new and held up great. Not gentle on them either, boat rides and walk ins. Flocked heads will always wear regardless of who makes them, so I like the painted ones best.
I like the dakotas that's what we have and they work really good on a windy day.
Good to hear. I heard you guys had them
Hay Titus I just got a shot kam for christmas, I was wondering do you keep your gun in a soft case while traveling and heading to the blind? The reason I ask is because I don't know if the kam sight will get knocked out of wack while heading to the blind.
Awesome man. I do keep it in a soft case out to the pond or sling it over my shoulder. I haven’t had any problems with it getting knocked out of whack though
@@MidValleyMercenaries Awesome bro thank you! I'm from fresno Ca and watch every video you guys post. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks man! Good luck out there!
We hunted over 3 doz of these and I loved them they suck mallards down especially on public land I’m probably going to either buy the packables or the regular dakotas for 160 a doz they look the best by far in my opinion
Good to know. Pretty pumped about using them
So after using them for the end of the season, how did you like them? i heard mixed reviews from the keels being bent over or the air plugs falling out etc. Just curious how you liked them after using them the last month of the season? Thanks
So far so good. We’ll see how they do through another season
Cool vid! Love those decoys!
Those look good. Might have to buy some since some scumbags broke into my truck and stole my decoys. My favorite deeks were Avian X for their paint and flexible material. But they are gone 😡.
Dude that is so frustrating
Those are awsome . I have cheap Walmart shit hahah, but they work for me... but after you let me know how those work for you.. I'll buy a dozen... thanks man camt wait for the hunt...🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👀
Those work too. I’ve used several brands and still kill birds
What if it’s real windy?
I only run avian anymore. I've had a lot better luck with their paint holding up. I'm pretty sure I have as much invested in deeks as retirement at this point.....
That’s all I’ve run for years. Decided to give some other brands a try, only time will tell
I’m hoping to have a real good hunt coming up too, been kinda slow. Got a decent draw coming up
Good luck Jason!
You too bro. We’re both probably really due for a good one.
Jason Smith agreed
Another good video
Regular flocked Dakota all the way for me .
have you hunted over the Higdon XS pulsator or Higdon XS Swimmer before? my mother in law got them for me for Christmas
I’ve hunted over the swimmer, I like it a lot
g and h , very well made
👍🏼
I have several different brands, and these Dakotas dance on the water.
Ya they really do.
Are you still hunting over these and how are they lasting ?
Yes. Holding up great so far
I bought a 6 pack. Not durable enough for me. They inflate kinda funky. Not as light as I’d hoped. I do know allot of ppl like them 👍🏽
Do a live after the hunt
These versus white rocks?
I’ve never used white rocks
Mid Valley Mercenaries dang have 2 Dzn white rocks was curious how they compared
Are they inflatable?
Mid Valley Mercenaries kinda haha they don’t have the plug on the ass but they are the same material it seems like. They are nice and lite for carry in spots
my ffd ghg pintails are the best looking decoys Hands down
I like mine
Yours is what made Thomas like them
Sup mid valley
Sup man
@@MidValleyMercenaries love ur channel keep up the awsome content
Thanks man
I have dakotas and avian x. In my opinion, the avians are the most life like. I dont like the dakotas with the high heads; they look nervous to me. That being said, it is my belief that if you are in a good place where the ducks already want to be, they will come in to even the worst looking decoys. I've shot them in ice holes with old hand painted decoys that look like turds lol. I like to paint the high head dakota hens as scoters or bluebills and use them for sea ducks and divers.
Totally agree, if you’re where the ducks want any brand will work!
BPS redhead decoys because they are the cheapest around me🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ #brokeduckhunterlife

First like !
Junk decoys man I had them And only last me one season they ripped from the tail really easy
Bummer. Getting mixed opinions on them
Hey Titus is Jay the guy who said hi to you guys on Saturday morning just wanted to know when are you putting up Saturday hunt video
Javier Albor hey Jay it was nice meeting you! It will be up today at 2
Mid Valley Mercenaries nice bro how did the hunt went?
First
I got 6 in my shed if anyone wants them 😂 they sucked. I didn’t like em. They aren’t durable at all. Very cheap
Steve Chmiel especially when someone of lesser experience shoots em, you can’t fill them with expanding foam like the flambeau decoys.
Mike Remillard yea I just wasn’t a fan at all. For how hard we hunt they don’t last. Also they’re really not that light.
🇦🇿👍👍👍
