Haha just when you figure out the room keywords, you're so busy thinking of all the other stuff going on that you were not properly reading. One *outer wall* that is 3 blocks *higher* than the other wall. And there you are with a shorter wall on the outside, just 3 blocks high wondering why I hasn't worked... 😅 It happens to us all, sooner or later, but that doesn't mean we are not gonna chuckle when it's happening to someone else, right?
Such a good lesson though, because as I mentioned on an earlier video, getting those room bonuses (especially in giving conviction, or boosting production speeds) is one of the most critical and basic parts of the strategic element of the game. A little one-time planning of what gives a room the best bonuses and effects before placing it can boost your productivity, and levelling speed for the whole playthru. Knowing which room types need to be 'grounded', 'lofted', or 'vaulted' makes such a difference to planning your building.
Also, having some really tall/high interior walls lets you place a whole lot of storage 'shelves' - that's single floor beams 1 block apart up the height of the wall that you can place chests on for a huge amount of safe storage. Placed near a spiral staircase for easy access a tall rack of shelves with 4 chests per shelf (3 if/where there's a door too) can make storage a lot, lot easier.

When you are building a room, you have to follow the keyword such as LOFTED, TOWERED, ISOLATED, GROUNDED, its in bold letters, etc etc. When you check out the Room Type on the Bottom right corner F1, it helps you see if you room that you build meets the requirement to the keyword. ex(Dining Room) Exactly 1 Dining table, LOFTED, 10 or greater Luxury. You have to meet the LOFTED requirement.
If you dont know what the words mean just hover your mouse to the keyword and it explains the Keyword to you. ✌✌
