In this episode we show you what's around our office in Berlin. And this time we talk extra slowly. On our walk, we show you typical objects and places in the city so that you can learn new words: for example, a kiosk, a phone box and a construction site. We buy ice cream, drink coffee and go to a restaurant. You will also learn what “Sperrmüll” is.
In dieser Episode zeigen wir euch, was es in Berlin um unser Büro herum so gibt. Und diesmal sprechen wir extralangsam. Auf unserem Spaziergang zeigen wir euch typische Objekte und Orte in der Stadt, damit ihr neue Vokabeln lernt: zum Beispiel einen Späti, eine Telefonzelle und eine Baustelle. Wir kaufen Eis, trinken Kaffee und wir gehen in ein Restaurant. Außerdem erfahrt ihr, was Sperrmüll ist.

The slower German may sound silly to some viewers but for those like me that understand a fair bit but have trouble with the speed of normal German conversation it's a great learning tool. Well done folks!

I'm still a beginner but I'm good at reading subtitles. So at this slower speed I manage to both realize I didn't understand something and read subtitles in both German and English.
It's the perfect speed for learning.

I don t think that's got to be painful for them. Maybe the easiest education content they may produce, but yet very effective for beginners, like me 🙈

Dein Akzent ist so klar und scharf. Es hilft wirklich, die Aussprache zu lernen.
This helps a lot. I've started studying German again and it's pretty hard to keep up with the tempo sometimes. I like to watch German tv (Deutsche Welle etc.) and channels like this so I get accustomed to hearing German being spoken. But this channel is great because everything has English subtitles which is a big big help.

Ah...i know it's difficult to speak that slowly, but it's wonderful for those of us who struggle to understand everyday German while trying to learn. Thank you for doing this- i did NOT need all of the subtitles this time and been that i learned how to pronounce many words i was unsure of. ❤❤

At regular speed, I try to follow the German subtitles as much as I can, but fall back to the English ones for the most part. I was able to follow these almost completely, picking up some new vocabulary along the way. I want to be able to (confidently) leave comments in German soon!

Yeeeeeessss, thank you so much for this slow German video. Although I have been watching Easy German for more than 5 years, it is very productive to have this kind of slow speaking video to better make connections between physical actions and verbs, between verbs and their proper separable prefixes, etc.
Hearing German at a normal pace is certainly very important and necessary. But having people acting normal while listening to the language in a slow pace helps the brain take in fewer things at a time and this, in return, helps fixate vocabulary, grammar, etc.
Keep up the wonderful work you are doing!!

I liked this very much! I am still quite early in my studies, and I found that I was spending more time reading your subtitles than I was truly listening and comprehending. This helps me start to really comprehend spoken German and don’t always have to rely on the subtitles and translations! Please create more of these! 😁

This is a great lesson for me to improve my understanding of the flow of the German language. It sounds nice whether it's spoken slowly or quickly. Personally, I love this video for improving my German language skills, especially in speaking quickly to make it sound cool. But when you slow it down, it becomes even more interesting.

Das langsame und betonte Sprechen ist für Anfängerinnen und Anfänger sehr hilfreich, aber es gibt nicht viele Videos dazu. Ich nehme deswegen oft selbst Beispiele auf.

This is a speed I can manage, thank you. I have been learning German from an app online for over 4 years. The vocabulary of this video was almost entirely familiar to me. At full speed though I would not not have understood half of it. I like this video a lot and would like more
