No wonder why that quote of Barney from Half Life 2 related to Dr.Kleiner's teleporter when he said: "You mean is working? For real this time?Because i still have nightmares about that cat...."
Not a single mention of the 80's Fly's sequel, The Fly II with Eric Stoltz. Not even as a fun fact, but then again.. the 50s Fly has like 2 or 3 sequels lol.
1, I haven’t seen them, and 2 they don’t follow the story of the original book like these two do. I do plan on watching them however. Maybe future video
@couchbumkino5423 yeah, after I thought of the sequel to the 80s one, I remembered the 50s one had sequels too. I've seen the Eric Stoltz sequel, it's an odd one for sure. I have the whole blu ray box set and need to see the Vincent Price sequels as well. Maybe there's something in them from the original short story or something that expands upon it.
@@couchbumkino5423 well, I look forward to a video on it if you get around to it lol I enjoy these Book Vs Film videos or finding out there's various adaptions to a certain story. I'm glad I found this channel, Jon Solo and Dominic Noble are 2 other great ones who do similar videos. But I could never reach out to them, if you're ever interested I've shared to them the idea of checking out the Stuart Little Book to the movie, I've heard it's so drastically different and he's more human mouse hybrid in the book lol

Love when things connect like that
Id love to see Minority Report if thats in the cards, I love these vids!
Thanks! That’s definitely on my long list of book/movies to cover
'Seth Brundle' is just such a classic name. Great writing.
How about The Stand book Vs. 1994 miniseries vs 2020 miniseries. That’ll give you something to do for the next day or two.
Never heard of it!
There's a good video on the channel Feral Historian focusing on that!
How about do a video about Die hard(1988) vs the novel itself Nothing last forever by Roderick Thorp(1979).
Die hard was based on a book?!?
@ Yep
And that novel is a sequel to another novel the detective which later adapted to a film of the same name starring Frank Sinatra(1966)

Even the planet of the apes sequel “escape from…” took a good amount of things from the OG story. More movies to watch!
