    Well said Paul, the critics come out of the woodwork like clockwork. Tim has a long way to go yet. We all remember Kostyas loss to Phillips in 97. We all remember the Kostya that came back and unified the 140 division.
    The future looks bright.

      The last 6-12 months has been a demonstration of how to F@ck a fighter's carrier from management to the corner crew .Tim's done a lot of it to himself but that's why you have a team around you to protect you from yourself. Much respect for Paul but when Tim hit some real pressure and adversity he had nothing no ring craft just keep walking into that left hook I love Tim but him his team have all been well and truly exposed BIG time so things need to change and I do believe Tim can do it , hope Nikita is taking notice as well .

    Fight should have been stopped at the end of the second round, he didn't even know where the fuck he was. Firstly, that's on the ref, but secondly and much worse was his corner not protecting him and stopping it. That's the sign of a team that is out of their depth.

    • @davidgray8654

    • @waffle_burger8499
      @waffle_burger8499 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @davidgray8654 If his corner had stopped the Fundora fight because of the cut, I'm pretty sure it would have been ruled a draw or no contest. But instead they kept sending him out each round when he could hardly see, plus they didn't seem to have any idea how to stop the bleeding. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even know about the medical stoppage rule.

    💯! Tim would greatly benefit from being around & learning from his father Kostya. Do some training camps in Russia, as Kostya said in interview, to get his boys to come to his gym there. There’s a difference when you’re living in a harder, tougher country. Makes you more hungry for sure! Great advice & interview with Paul Upham 👌🏾

    Nikita also get hit quite a lot and has been dropped a couple of times. Tim waited till his hardest fight to take on Nikita's no prisoners approach. You can get away with it early in your career against weaker opponents. Why he chose a title fight to take such a risky approach is on him , he's the one in the centre of the ring.

    Yes they need to change. Big mistakes in fundora fight and Igor failed to stop the fight in time in this fight. Nikita had to throw in the towel. Igor had no bloody idea. After Tim's fight with Fundora i saw Tim in Thailand training with his pops, personally i didn't like it at the time , because i thought , why change something that's not broken, well its strange because he just fought his worst fight i have seen from him, but i think he does need changes to his team.....because after the 1st Knock down he should have jabbed his ass off, clinched and hung on to Bukhram and moved his head..didn't do any of that

    • @Soul-Taker
      @Soul-Taker 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The was a few factors which lead to the loss. 1. Overconfidence which meant Tim thought he could just walk this guy down and bully him leaving him wide open for the next couple of factors. 2. His opponent was a much harder hitter than Tim thought, and 3. He'd worked on specific combinations to counter Tim and 4. I do think having his dad there was a massive distraction for Tim.

    Johnny Lewis was always telling kostya to keep his hands up. It wasn't until after the loss to Vince Phillips that Kostya began to work on his defence but he was by no means a defensive fighter. Tim had the wrong game plan. Look at his fight against Mendoza and that is how he should have fought. He wasn't patient or cautious, however I do feel he may have been fighting on instinct after the knock down. Upham makes a lot of contradictions.

    This guy is full of it. Tim was completely unprepared for this fight, and unprepared for anyone with a left hook. That’s on the team. Once he got hurt he never moved, jabbed, clinched, nothing. That is on his trainer. The fight absolutely should have been stopped after the second round. Tim was badly hurt and couldn’t even focus his eyes. That’s on his team. Tim got exposed and most of it is on his team. Of course he has to take responsibility as well. He took this guy lightly. So did his team
