It's a tough one. Fighting Murtzaliev was a great opportunity though exposed significant weaknesses in Tim's style. Flat footed with little head movement. That's his style. I suppose if he'd like to continue on a hard road forward to be a contender again, it starts with regional fights. I'd like Tim to obviously improve his defence and ability to protect himself if he does get hit. A better jab. A better sense of distance from the opponents attack. @@Bloopergrandson1 Yeah, I saw it, natural for a fighter who's been badly cut to do that, no big deal imo. He was trying to just walk through Murtazaliev and was letting go his shots with full power, so there was no lack of confidence. That's incredibly naive, and we saw how it played out here.
Manny had many loses and was knocked out cold, but he career was not over. Lenox Lewis got knocked out cold twice. Not To to say Tim is at the level but losing is a part of the sport
Last fight, didn't take no contest when had opportunity. This fight walks straight forward after getting knocked down to cop more of the same.Tough to come back from a beating like that.
He’s never put his guard up - after stepping forward and throwing hard punches .. because no one has ever -ignored his power and countered like a mad man .. like this Mut just did
Murtazaliev a class act. Respectful in the face offs and in hindsight totally calm compared to Tim who seemed a little overhyped. Accusing Tim of arrogance seems a bit unfair…the pressure on him would have been unimaginable. He was trying to handle his business and unfortunately came up short. Do think he might need to start studying footage of his opponents and be prepared to strategically adapt .
Such a brutal beating. The mental damage may be more difficult to overcome than the physical. Hope his health is ok and has a good rest and reflects on how his ego has got in the way to a degree. Show some respect and be humble again. Kostya was such a great champion, in and out of the ring. A gentleman who respected his opponents. Tim should take a leaf out of his old man's book if he hopes to make it back again.
Honestly tim never recovered from the first punch all his career his management and himself have been extremely arrogant hopefully this will make them realise he isn't at the level he thought and need to get real
That's a scary beating, tim was badly concussed after the fight I hope he's ok. Last year Tim was a big star a year later his career is done. Boxing is a crazy sport.
actually it was like Lennox Lewis vs Oliver Mccall 1 . Lewis just went in trying to walk Mccall down ... a similar result ... But it also shows you he can come back from it .
I don't think Lewis was training with Emmanuel Steward for the first McCall fight, once Lennox dumped his old trainers and started with Steward he became unstoppable.
Yeah. They said they studied, but didn't. Tim didn't behave prepared for a counterpuncher. He actually did the opposite. Increased aggression and walked into traps. It's like moving in quick sand. You need a gameplan. Increasing movements means you'll sink faster.
too late for that now. He will never get opponents respect again now. Let's talk about his dad. Comes to one fight despite being financially wealthy. Could have really helped his boys. Father of the year award
He got destroyed by a better boxer. Tims run was a fun ride but I feel that you could get Gus De Matteo in his corner and it won't matter. Will never be the same after this beating!
Tim and Errol Spencer's careers are both on life support. The inactivity and the lack of punch resistance I don't think either one will be able to compete at a higher level
Shawn says “ Tim is a really positive guy and won’t focus on this loss.” I HIGHLY doubt that…his confidence has to be crushed. He’s now lost two in a row and he was beaten like an amateur in this fight. He probably has a helluva road to get back to believing in himself and erasing this beatdown from his memory.
He can bounce back. He must put his last two fights behind him or he will be toast. He has one more chance and he better put everything he has into making it happen.
This is a huge setback for Tim however, let's not forget how Fundora came back from a devastating one punch ko, and came back to become champ. Most thought it was over for him but yet he came back. The road ahead for tszyu will be super rough, no doubt about it but there's still some hope for him
Why shock. What did you expect Tim to walk over him. He was fighting the current world champ betting had the world champ as way outside. Very hard to come back from this.
Bakhram is a lot bigger than Tim. 3-4 inches in height and reach and one hit ko power in both hands. He must cut more weight than most guys. Tim wasn’t careful and after that first left hook he was never the same. He didn’t block or slip anything
I never get on TH-cam and tell professional boxers what to do but I am today. Tim, fire your team yesterday and upgrade a much smarter team. Major mistake made by your team two times in a row! Unacceptable
Yeah. I think Tim started too fast. If he began pressuring in round 3 or 4, maybe Bakram wouldnt have been as powerful. But Tim ate clean counters from a strong fresh fighter. No one can absorb punishment like that. Tim has had troubles with counter punchers in the past. As most front foot fighters do. Bakram's timing and power were too much today.
After the 1st round, tsyu had already read the situation but wasnt smart enough to admit and change the game plan. Murtazaliev is like a younger beterbiev.
Tim is still young. He has the heart and desire. He just needs to surround himself with the right people. If he really wants it he can come back from this. Fundora fight TERRIBLY mishandled. This fight should not have been taken yet and the preparation was awful. He does have the skill. I wish he could get with Buddy McGirt. I really believe he could get something special out of this guy. I am not saying the best ever ......but could turn this into a good career and make some special fights
Porter’s comments are disingenuous to Bakhram Murtazaliev. He should stop making excuses for Tszyu, just because he is commentating on an Australian TV show! Speak honestly and you’ll be respected. Tszyu had his a*** handed to him by a better, more powerful boxer, who looks like a light middleweight version of Artur Beterbiev.
Like his father, he cant handle strong guys whom stand toe to toe and come forward, as hatton did to his father! Ali was a master at beating stronger guys that come forward. But who has Ali skill speed and toughness!
Bro it's blatantly obvious to see when you don't respect your opposition you pay the price. Tim thinks you can walk everyone down, sorry the top 1% are to good for that.
@@SussNit no I totally agree man! Wrong game plan , over confident and didn’t make the quick adjustment needed , it’s just the armchair experts who have never been in the ring before writing this kid off after one bad performance
@@Ecinar_flyfishing he can come back forsure, I know what your saying, the approach has to be precise and controlled aggression. Like his dad expected, I'm sure his in shock to because he expected that, Tim to break him down over the distance, not walk in and go bananas get rocked from the 1st shot downing and it was all over from there
It was almost like he wanted to start where he left off with Fundora as if he honestly felt he had a lot to make up and prove. His trainer and team should have done a better job mentally preparing him.
I hope tim can gain insight through this. Its a learning curve and the risk you get for picking the best fights. Although this bakhram was a nobody i feel tim has the style that couldve beaten him but he just tried to walk him down without testing bakhrams abilities first. Hopefully the next time he gets in there with a big name in the division he can learn through this experience and i still think he is up there in this division. Notice the same counter right has dropped him in his earlier fights. He has to work on that.
As an American fan that loves Tim fights, that was hard to watch. I couldnt put my finger on it but arrogance that the guy couldnt stand his pressure probably was it. Wishing Tim a speedy recovery.
Now I hope casual boxing fans can see why Crawford had to change boxing style for the Madrimov fight. YOU CANNOT FIGHT EVERYONE THE SAME WAY, HOPING YOU WILL KNOCK EVERYONE OUT! Just being able to come forward rough and rugged is all well and good, but what happens when you run into someone just as tough and as rugged as you, but knows how to box??? This is where the ability to change style, so your opponent cannot read, time and counter you. This is where just coming forward with brute strength and power cannot work. You now need to have boxing skills, ring IQ and ring generalship in your arsenal. Tim Tszyu and PBC thought they were going to BLOCK OUT TERRENCE CRAWFORD, WITH THE HELP OF SPENCE AND FUNDORA......BUT THAT NOW CANNOT HAPPEN!!! You will see how Crawford deals with Bakhram. Bud is going to school him, outbox him, beat him up AND MAKE IT LOOK EEEEAAASY!!!
I doubt very seriously that Bud will make it look easy. However the basis of your argument is spot on. Boxers at this level, need to be able to adapt and find their pursuit of their opponent within the scope of their abilities. Tsyzu took a terrible whipping in his fight aganst Fundora. Mentally he's still suffering and he needed to get past that before he was able to take on someone like Bakhram. Spence will have the same issues with Fundora. Once he gets in trouble that window will open to his failings against Crawford, and doubt will set in. And once doubt takes hold, that window will open up wider and he may not be able to turn it around, whether he has other options or not. Crawford has the IQ to know what he's up against and the ability to adapt. Yet his last fight with Madrimov was no walk in the park, that scoring could have gone either way. And although my bias is not as blind as your's - he'll need to fight better than he did against Madrimov - going forward or there'll be no major payday against Canelo. Good comments though, with a little too much hero worshipping sprinkled here and there. Boxing at this level is unpredictable especially when you're getting long in the tooth and moving up too heavier weight classes
Tim got schooled in what not to do too a fast, athletic powerful fighter. He just walked straight into half them punches. Hos corner did the only good thing they have done for years and threw in the towel. He needs a new team around him i think. This team isnt up to getting him through the big fights in the US.
I don't see how Tszyu was the favorite in this fight. How did he think he could go in there and just walk this guy down? Tszyu's team has shown very poor judgment twice in a row, including the Fundora fight. Fighters need to be realistic and stop falling for the hype put on them.

One things for sure old Murty has some HD punch power.
I don't know whether his corner or his father is to blame, because Kostya was a different animal than his son. His style was to come forward and brawl, but unlike Tim, Kostya didn't care if he was cut. Tim checked twice. That's the typical sign of the heart of a Western raised fighter. Shawn seemed to have a lot to speculate on what might have gone wrong, but imo, Tim showed up with amateur behaviors. Seasoned and great fighters use the first 2 to 3 rounds to assess and then adjust. Tim needed 3 lessons in the 2nd round and then a 4th lesson in the 3rd and still didn't adjust. He can't hope to beat the Spences, Crawfords let alone Fudora's with that mentality

Can improve on his jab and subtle side to side movements and covering and clinching if hit. What he does will be his decision. I do suspect he comes back one last time. It did appear obvious to me when he grabbed his head looking for blood that wasn't there that this is subconcious. Tim does need to rebuild and that is a hard thing to do. The better man won the fight. Tim has had a terrific career, made some money, won world title. How he would like to finish is up to him. I think have a few local Australian fights after a shot rest. Try one more time with a couple of subtle adjustments.
@@jackstarr4726 If you rewatch the Tszyu vs Murtazaliev fight you'll notice in Round 1 Tszyu grabbed his head as if he was checking his head like there was a gash like in the Fundora fight.
Tszyu clearly got some PTSD from that Fundora fight with the nasty gash + loads of blood I dont think he will be the same after this.
@@Bloopergrandson1 Yeah, I saw it, natural for a fighter who's been badly cut to do that, no big deal imo. He was trying to just walk through Murtazaliev and was letting go his shots with full power, so there was no lack of confidence. Thing is, at this level, you cannot just walk through people like you're going to knock buildings down with your punches and cannot be hurt yourself. That's incredibly naive, and we saw how it played out here.
And as they Say : There is always Someone Better !!!!
Im a kiwi = really like Tim =hope his team and followers get behin dhim and get him back to his best, done me proud

I told everyone that Murt had a punchers chance. Turns out Tim made it easy for him.
Manny had many loses and was knocked out cold, but he career was not over. Lenox Lewis got knocked out cold twice. Not To to say Tim is at the level but losing is a part of the sport
Yeah but they weren't dominated like Tim just was.
This was just a brutal beat down.
This is a different era than Manny and Lennox Lewis era. Tszyu was shell shocked his punch resistance was very low and his boxing IQ was low too!
@@rjack58Yep, Manny's and Lewis' era was way more competitive too.
Yea but they dominated Tim only started fighting proper fighters all his fights before his first lost was all no names
@@trackdaniel5630 definitely hyped due to his family name,Marvis Frasier comes to mind.
Last fight, didn't take no contest when had opportunity. This fight walks straight forward after getting knocked down to cop more of the same.Tough to come back from a beating like that.
Got humbled
He’s never put his guard up - after stepping forward and throwing hard punches .. because no one has ever -ignored his power and countered like a mad man .. like this Mut just did
Murtazaliev a class act. Respectful in the face offs and in hindsight totally calm compared to Tim who seemed a little overhyped. Accusing Tim of arrogance seems a bit unfair…the pressure on him would have been unimaginable. He was trying to handle his business and unfortunately came up short. Do think he might need to start studying footage of his opponents and be prepared to strategically adapt .
Peter Badel is absolutely spot here. What a great depiction of what happened tonight. Ring IQ went out the window for Braun.
Could not agree more . Shawn is an ass Kisser
Defending with no guard and catching shots with your chin is never the best plan is it?
@@MegaHeelhook you're right about that. became a totally different fighter.
Yeah. They said they studied, but didn't. Tim didn't behave prepared for a counterpuncher.
He actually did the opposite. Increased aggression and walked into traps. It's like moving in quick sand.
You need a gameplan. Increasing movements means you'll sink faster.
They underestimated the opponent and didnt watch enough tape on him and also came to brawl early which was a mistake
He needs a complete retool ; new trainer, need psychologist , new scenery , less talk and perhaps will see how it goes .
He is 30 next month...dunno mate, I say he's done!
I saw Tim flat footed, no head movement, not springing in and out, hardly jabbing, slow punches. He needs to work on all of this to become better
I saw a cherry picker being exposed lol
Trainer's are the problem. Needs new team.
too late for that now. He will never get opponents respect again now. Let's talk about his dad. Comes to one fight despite being financially wealthy. Could have really helped his boys. Father of the year award
Absolute B.S
And promoter/advisor
@@glowimagery634 Tim is too cheap hence his uncle is his coach
Tim ate 🥊, man handled and exposed.
Cooked already in his career.
Tim might be damaged goods
Facts
He can bounce back. He must put his last two fights behind him or he will be toast. He has one more chance and he better put everything he has into making it happen.
Agree ...even if he wins his next few , he won’t make it to the top . The demons from this will haunt him
This was a crushing defeat....More so Mentally than the obviously Physical loss...i just hope he has some good people around him to help him through!
This is a huge setback for Tim however, let's not forget how Fundora came back from a devastating one punch ko, and came back to become champ. Most thought it was over for him but yet he came back. The road ahead for tszyu will be super rough, no doubt about it but there's still some hope for him
Shawn is the NEW WAVEEE of TRUELY commentating...PERFECT eye n opinion(s) ..AGAIN👌🏾👌🏾
Tim isnt the nicest person so karma and arrogance got him the L
A little arrogant only?
Yes he underestimated his opponent and paid the price but take some off and come back more prepared
Truly , always the result, always the way it would END up
Why shock.
What did you expect Tim to walk over him.
He was fighting the current world champ betting had the world champ as way outside.
Very hard to come back from this.
And fickle boxing fans really tried to convince themselves that Tim could beat counter punchers the likes of Charlo and Crawford....wild times lol
Defense is something you build around your home. I didn't see one
A major concern is the promoter’s talking about Tim’s next fights instead of concentrating on this one
Bakhram is a lot bigger than Tim. 3-4 inches in height and reach and one hit ko power in both hands. He must cut more weight than most guys. Tim wasn’t careful and after that first left hook he was never the same. He didn’t block or slip anything
The dude is the Champ and he's Russian. When does that add up to being an easy fight? Back to school Timmy

@@Mr_RPE Thats gold! lol
Assie only hope is Opetaia he should be the face of Aussie Boxing
Embarrassing is an understatement
Great commentary 🎉🎉
Tim looked out of it from opening handshake
After the 1st round, tsyu had already read the situation but wasnt smart enough to admit and change the game plan. Murtazaliev is like a younger beterbiev.
Tim might be damaged good because of drainage cut vs fundora take a toll on body and mental ?
He just not that skilled
His ego is better than his talent
Shawn porter had great commentary about fighting power with power
Win some lose some not the end of the world, he’ll benefit from this loss or retire graciously knowing you had your best shot and earned respect
Awesome trousers Shawn
😂😂😂
Tim is still young. He has the heart and desire. He just needs to surround himself with the right people. If he really wants it he can come back from this.
Fundora fight TERRIBLY mishandled. This fight should not have been taken yet and the preparation was awful. He does have the skill. I wish he could get with Buddy McGirt. I really believe he could get something special out of this guy. I am not saying the best ever ......but could turn this into a good career and make some special fights
I mean, the same approach worked pretty good in all his last fights. I think he just never really recovered from the first left hook that dropped him.
Im not surprised Tim need to be more humble Like hes dad The end...
Tim needs to stop thinking about titles. The way back is a new reputable trainer and a rematch with Fundura (even if he loses to Spence).
Great commentary.
Murtuzaliev 🦈🔥
Like his father, he cant handle strong guys whom stand toe to toe and come forward, as hatton did to his father! Ali was a master at beating stronger guys that come forward. But who has Ali skill speed and toughness!
What's glaring to me is Tim Tsyzu's lack of basic fundamental defensive skills. No head movement or footwork.
So many experts on this thread
Bro it's blatantly obvious to see when you don't respect your opposition you pay the price. Tim thinks you can walk everyone down, sorry the top 1% are to good for that.
@@SussNit no I totally agree man! Wrong game plan , over confident and didn’t make the quick adjustment needed , it’s just the armchair experts who have never been in the ring before writing this kid off after one bad performance
@@Ecinar_flyfishing he can come back forsure, I know what your saying, the approach has to be precise and controlled aggression. Like his dad expected, I'm sure his in shock to because he expected that, Tim to break him down over the distance, not walk in and go bananas get rocked from the 1st shot downing and it was all over from there
@@SussNit you could see from the opening bell he was going to get clipped . Disappointed
I admit, I was shocked to see Tim Tszyu get beat the way he did today, just shocked.
Tim ate some humble pie.
💯
Tim got that big fish beat down 😂. That was a brutal watch.
He got a really bad promoter, that what you get having a former NRL player thinking he a World Class Promoter but not
Agreed I find the Rose brothers unprofessional when Nikita Tszyu was versing Dylan Briggs George rose said at the press conference this it the tszyu show that is why he is walking out last I don’t like that

One things for sure old Murty has some HD punch power.
@@Soul-Taker I don’t know
I don't know whether his corner or his father is to blame, because Kostya was a different animal than his son.
You completely don’t understand Tim .He is not arrogant.Boxing is in his blood from his dad and younger brother Nikita. He has great boxing skills and pedigree.Work on his defence and Nikita needs to as well. These guys are the real deal.
Two losses in a row. Tim doesn’t look ready at this level.
Man… Tim was gifted a vacant belt. Lost his first title defense against an unathletic opponent with a low boxing IQ who hadn’t fought in a year and was KOed in his last fight. And was brutally destroyed by the only champion that he’s fought in his career.
