I just created a helix with a line and then created such an elliptical extrude and got the intersection mimic wrapped wire.

    Hi sir I have a doubt .
If we intersect two sketches we got third sketch that I know sir. But in this video you intersecting two surfaces than how you get the sketch sir

Hi, if you create two surfaces and you will use Intersect.. The system will create 3D curve

when I go into the relations box, and put in exactly what you enter & click okay, the dialog box remains. It doesn't accept it, doesn't say why. Thoughts on why?

Hi Maggie, you need to write all relations while you are in the Sketch mode. Try to use only trajpar param and numbers (without custom parameter)

Thank you so much, I got it now! I did not have a surface extruded, just a solid. Do you have any videos/input on how you would do this, but to include the wire wrapping/knotting within the sweep? A wire framed structure and using this feature to make it hemp/jute wrapped -- knotting around the frame and sweeping the exterior.. Hope that makes sense

That's great that you start the model as surface ;)... And for your question... Do you want to create something like this: th-cam.com/video/rlihNEf1cXw/w-d-xo.html

Thank you so so much for responding! Trying to do something like this, how it seems to wrap/knot around the wire supports of the frame. www.target.com/p/gray-square-laundry-hamper-threshold-153/-/A-51782643 Have any tutorials similar

For this model I think that is suitable this tutorial... Or, for horizontal shape I will try to create first "line" and then pattern (be careful you can create only 1/4 of model an than copy it 4 times around middle axis)

What is written in the field? Is this: sd3=360°trajpar°PARAMETER_1:0

If you want to rotate around axis with variable sweep feature your need to write Relation Dimension = 360*trajpar *how many times your need to spin around
