- There are many characters in Toy Story who are actually based on real toys that exist in our world. In the pilot episode of Toy Story: Fact vs. Fiction, we look at the real-life origins and evolution on Mr. Potato Head. We also discuss his portrayals in the Toy Story franchise, and how well he translated into the Pixar world.

I find it funny there are two Seinfeld actors in Toy Story 2.
It bothers me how Toy Story Mr. Potato Head after Toy Story Mr. Potato Head released, we once again do not get separated eyes with eyeholes and separated feet/shoes like they’re supposed to be in the movies
Do these next: Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, Etch-A-Sketch, Barbie, Ken, Chatter Telephone, etc.
Technically, I already covered Mrs. Potato Head in this video. But the others I will do in the future.
I noticed that in the potato head create your own family set has an eye piece with eyebrows so.... thecnically you can use that piece,change the pupil in the style of the 1983-2010 for a sort of movie accurate mr potato head from toy story.
I remember getting a lot of the Potatu Head toys as a kid.
The 80s Mr. Potato Head was my childhood well the 90s version!
did you know that in the early days of Mr. Potato Head, there was a toy called "Mr. Dunkie Donut Head", which was released exclusively for Dunkin' Donuts restaurants when it was a much smaller chain?

Well reason why it’s because in real life Mr potato head has one eye hole and two eyes in one peg while in the movie he has 2 eye holes
Fun facts (outside of Toy Story):
1. Hasbro released a Mr. Potato Head toy similar to the Thinkway Toys one in 2010. This one called “Talking Popping Tater”. Despite that there is an English commercial, only French and Spanish versions were released. This toy has 3 game modes. I got two Spanish versions in my collection. They used to work, but sadly they don’t.
2. The “Potato Head” rebrand from 2021 is literally the worst idea that Hasbro made.
3. In 2019 alongside the Toy Story 4 Potato Heads, Hasbro released another Mr. Potato Head toy called “Movin' Lips”. the toy has two buttons (one is for phrases and the other is for the songs) and it has two mouths. Its eyes has eyebrows over it.
4. In that same year as above, Hasbro also released a set of 4 Mr. Potato Head toys that are similar to the Playskool TS4 Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. They use the 2010 body, but the shoes and most parts from the 90's and 2000's versions.
Fun facts (inside of Toy Story brand):
1. Hasbro reissue the Toy Story 1 and 2 Mr. Potato Head in 2002 with the "Toy Story and Beyond!" brand. And then again in 2005, with some extra parts being removed.
2. Mr. Potato Head disguised as a Tortilla or a cucumber in Toy Story 3 makes a reference to its origins.

Uh, not really. I prefer the old Potato Head toys before 2021.
I find this Ironic as on July 1st on Amazon UK a new Potato Head listing popped up which is described to have separated shoes

I'm surprised there's no mention of the 80s cartoon Potato Head Kids and the 90s show The Mr. Potato Head Show.
I guess it's because you're only focusing on the main Potato Head line and Toy Story stuff and/or you didn't know those existed.
