Crazy that 3 of the bands on this list (Hebron, Flower Mound, and Marcus) are literally in the same school district. The power of these Texas bands is insane!!!
And that's only the 6A category. There are just as great smaller schools too. Texas has a very deep roster of amazing programs. The region contest that all these bands you mentioned co.pete at is literally a 1 mile from my house. I can hear them playing clear as day while sipping tea in my backyard, lol
This is one of the best years BOA has had in while. In my opinion, Any show from the top 7 bands this year were better than any show from 2022-2023. The whole competitive marching band scene step up its game.
They really did! I am a Carmel mom and we LOVE seeing what Castle is going to come with every year! They seem to be growing and getting better and better each year!
@@ephraimschanneldaddontuse445 That doesn't make any sense lol. leaning THAT far to the right before stepping off is very very bad for the visual score
@@ecolearningyt he was leaning to fix a mistake. As both of my band directors have judged in the past, they always tell us that when we lean to fix a mistake in the form as in we know we would otherwise be out of the form, and that actually has the inverse effect. You end up getting more points by leaning to fix mistakes than you would if you were to be in a bad form.
@@ephraimschanneldaddontuse445 okay, i looked at it from a front angle and the whole block they are in looks visually terrible. you can see him leaning from 100 feet away in the stands. Yes, it may keep only his head in line with the people behind him, but this is far from the fact that his whole line is messed up it looks like he is supposed to be 2 steps inside the 45 but he is a whole step to the left. I don't think this would give more points at all because it does not look uniform with the other people in his block. However, the very last person in his line hit his/her dot I know this because the intervals look even but the people in front look completely off so now the person who hit their dot has to lean to the right because the people in front including that guy I was talking about made a mistake and now it looks terrible visually.
I just want to say, that as a student in Texas, our marching bands are surreal, all of them, except (Atascocita high school) and there is great training that comes with this skill, sad my high school didn’t make it
I believe that Flower mound should’ve won, IN MY OPINION flower mounds music, and show in general was more entertaining than hebrons not to talk bad about them but Hebrons show I believe hadn’t been excited like how it’s been for the past couple years and I also believe eh visuals looks better for flomo
Honorable mentions: bridgelands, Dobbyns Bennett, American fork, William mason, castle, and some of the other grand nats finalist bands who didn’t make it in the video

Broken arrow’s bari sax solo was so awesome
In my opinion Castle Marching Knights had an amazing show this year
100%… Loved their show
They were great and supportive of others
AGREED 100%
Loved the uniforms. Could have seen a street light or other prop. I might be biased as my daughter plays marimba with Castle

I js saw some of these bands and holy crap they are amazing, flower and Hebron my favs fs- from Avon IND
Carmel was wayyyy cleaner than tarpon bruh
tarpons show was harder tho
Tarpon had a much better design
I live 20 minutes away from tarpon 🔥
Nationals location should trade between Indy and Dallas every year.
agreed
that would be lit
Didn't the American Fork high School get 8th actually
It was my first season in AF and yea they did

what did u think about mason
6 or 7 of these have to be Texas bands
You guys need to head over to Hoover, AL. AWESOME BAND!
Aint no way Vandegrift didn't get a higher ranking.
