Vijay Sethupathi is a down to earth person. A few months ago he came to my hometown in Ipoh, Malaysia to shoot a movie. I had the opportunity to meet him at a hotel where the crew stayed. I found he is such a humble person, like a boy next door. Too bad couldn’t snap a photo with him. Too many people wanted to snap photo with him. Hope he retains his good self. God bless him. Luv you, Thambi Vijay Sethupathi.

Tamil-Canadian here. Love your approach to movies and to this interview. Your respect for cinema can be seen through both of yours' questions and listening to his answers. Sethupathi sir is absolutely a joy to listen to with his humbleness and engaging stories, each with a poignant lesson. It's a dream to see him one day as well, and work as an actor in this awesome field of storytelling! Keep it up guys!

The reason I stuck around OSR channel since a long time is..they are one of the few people who actually care about art & artists..ofc there are more "successful" reaction channels..but you guys are the best❤People should understand this before getting butthurt when they dont like a film that you love..they are honest & genuine..which matters❤

One of the 2 actors.from India I would love to meet at least once in my lifetime. This guy is the epitome of acting. The only man deserving to take the helm from Kamal. So many expressions. The ability to execute multi-faceted roles. The way he's immersed into the characters.
Whenever I watch OSR, I feel that these guys know more about India than many other reaction channels..They genuinely watch movies n songs n share honest reviews.They share some of the important aspects of film making, dance and music. They go deep into the technicalities of the processes...Interviews some of the best celebs....which I really admire....love Rick and Korbin...OSR is the best reaction channel on youtube..

I am not from South India, but South actors are so humble and respectful in their interviews as opposed to mainstream Bollywood actors. Look at the way he is dressed in this interview. So simple and down to earth. No unnecessary flashy clothes or jewellery to flaunt.
It's all just an act. The nepotism is way worse in the south

You should do watch along for his film" Naduvula kocham pakuthla kanum " Means something in between nearby lost. Based on the true story of this movie film director and his friends. Low budget movie but very funny movie.

Some of my favorite films of his that you guys may not have watched yet are: Iraivi, Kadhalum Kandanthu Pogum (by Nalan Kumarasamy), Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanaom, Dharma Durai, Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Petta and Vikram Vedha (Tamil).
Aaranya Kaandam is a cult status Tamil debut film of the brilliant Thiagarajan Kumaraja. It is a quirky thriller with action and noir. Please watch the full uncut and uncensored version with subtitles, if you can find it.
