We went beach fishing there today and had zero issues with mosquitoes. But SETX has had a lot of rain recently, so the mosquitos have been relentless across the entire area. This is the worst they have been in a long time. Last year was the complete opposite.
Did you have much wind today? i have found that wind and sun on the beach will help some. But when we were there no amount of wind would keep them off. It was unbelievable.
To a degree, yes. However, typically if you are in the sun, or near the shore, with some kind of breeze, the will leave you alone. This was not the case. They would attack you in full sun and a 15MPH wind. They would also hover around your RV, or car door, in the 1000's just waiting for you to open the door.

Your video made me smile. We had the exact same experience at this state park and have not returned.
Thank you for confirming our observation.
Sounds like Texas! Lol
