The 60 hz refresh rate is really not that bad, however the complaint about it lacking pro motion is not because it looks bad but because we’re paying good value of money for a device that doesn’t have it.

Guys i experienced a lot 120Hz refresh rate before and now i have an iPhone 16 (so 60Hz) and i can’t see any differences !!! Imo, the animations etc are equal in terms of smooth or rapidity (on a 120Hz and 60Hz phone) so i dont really care about the refresh rate
I've had a 13 for 2 years and I think I'm gonna upgrade to the 16. I was dead set on going with black but the teal is really nice looking so we'll see.
I went from 15 ProMax to regular 16 teal and I fell in love with it. It’s not heavy, it hasn’t overheat, and the perfect size for my hands I thought 60 hz display would bother me but as I have been using it as my daily driver for 2 weeks now, my eyes have adjusted to it. I could never go back to those big phones.

I am so pleased I found your review. I just ordered a teal 128gb iPhone 16 to replace my iPhone X. It’s just not lasting a day anymore and it’s causing me problems. So the fact you make comparisons to the iPhone X and its camera look, I dunno, I felt it validated my decision to go for this model. Thanks :)
Agree on the 120hz vs 60hz difference being overblown; from my own experience trying the Samsung S24 for month then going back to my iPhone 12 mini, I noticed the difference only initially and even then it wasn't as vast as some reviewers say, for me at least. One comment on the different audio settings test for video; it would've been more useful if the test was done with noise in the background so that we can see how each setting handled that noise.
I have the iPhone 16 Plus in Teal and wow, this is definitely the color to go. I initially thought the Ultramarine looked better but yeah it looked a little purple to me. Teal is a mix between green and blue, so depending on the lighting conditions, each color would pop out accordingly and I thought it was really cool. On sunny days, the green pops out a lot and when placed under bright lighting it looks a little blue. Idk if this is just me but I understand that everyone has different perceptions of color, so they might not notice this. Overall, this phone is a nice upgrade from my iPhone 12. It doesn't get super warm like the iPhone 12 (you could totally cook an egg on it) and battery life of course lasts a day and a half for me. Hoping to keep this phone for a long time

In my opinion I was shocked How good the sounds and the bass is on the iPhone 16 I have the Black one and I came from Samsung s24 I must say thanks Apple even this is still 60hz the batterij life is bigger 💯🙌

True. If the majority of consumers don't complain about it, then they're not gonna change it. It's only when a lot of us stop buying the regular models frequently that urges Apple to actually change their models, which might be next year where the regular iPhone 17 might get 120hz for the first time.

Thermals on this phone is much better than iPhone 15 ProMax... Next gen 3nm chips from TSMC are miles better than first gen A17Pro.

Yeah absolutely that would’ve have been a better way to test it. I can make a short about it with a louder environment
