    I'm here as a testimony that by the grace of God you can and will recover from PCS. I swung my head harshly into a sharp edge of a table in 2012. I felt whiplash movement. The onset of my PCS came on about 5-6 days later... Like a delayed reaction. Every symptom you can think of, i had it. EVERY ONE. Full recovery was about 2 years more or less (it wasn't at its worst the whole entire time.) My remaining symptoms are eye floaters and light sensitivity... Otherwise I am NORMAL. One day at a time by the grace of God, call onto him and acknowledge him and be grateful... He will heal you ❤️🙏

      @@owen2002 I wanted to share something that’s helped me tremendously with recovering. I looked up diets to eat while recovering from post-concussion syndrome. I started following the suggestions and I started recovering rapidly.
      I started adding a lot of nuts to my diet, especially pecan, and I literally started noticing improvements in the first day. I could sleep more easily. Mentally, I started feeling more like myself and in less of a daze. I even started noticing memory triggers, like the flashbacks you get when whiffing a nostalgic scent; something I realized I was experiencing far less than normal for me after my concussion.
      I could think more clearly but still had a lot of pressure in my head. So I started focusing my diet on anti-inflammation foods, like berries, green tea, turmeric, and broccoli, and again I noticed a huge decrease in the pressure and headaches I’d have within just a few days. Zinc and magnesium where suggested so I bought vitamins focused on those at this time also.
      It’s been about two and a half months since my concussion but I’m finally starting to have nights where I actually feel normal; like I forget I have PCS for a bit until I stand up and start walking around. This was so encouraging to me.
      I just wanted to share this so that my experiences my be of some help to you. Look up concussion recovery diets and try doing what you can to get on them. There’s more options in food than I listed so there should be flexibility.

      @@AegisAuras Agreed, everything you mention is excellent. Vitamin D is also a game changer. It reduces inflammation and speeds the recovery time.

      Many neurological problems come from the C1 atlas bone in your neck being out of position and interfering with the brain stem. You should look into upper cervical care it really helped me immensely. They take precise X-rays to determine how to adjust the bone then do gentle corrections to fix the problem.

    I'm 4 months now post a heavy MTB crash here in Australia and by the grace of God I'm not in a worse off situation, but struggling still with pains in my head, weird sensations and light sensitivity.
    Thankyou Ryan for the tip about searching for the old normal me and to the previous replies around healing, sometimes I feel that it's not going to get better and this is me for the rest of my life, but I will be healed, in Jesus name.. 🙏🙏

    Thank you for sharing. I was randomly attacked with blunt force trauma to the head yesterday by a total stranger. I was cleared by the hospital with the simple finger test but I fear damage to my brain. I'm so sad because I was in the middle of doing something I loved and brought me a lot of joy and pride. While I'm physically okay for now, I am broken mentally. Your testimony is helping me heal a little bit.

    Thank you for sharing this. I’ve gone through such a similar experience. 10 years ago I suffered from hitting a concrete column to the back of the head, lost vision and had post concussion syndrome for about 4 years. I had very similar experiences and symptoms and it makes you feel so alone. I’ve suffered from about 6-7 smaller concussions since and a week and a half ago I suffered another concussion and am having many worse symptoms. The doctors are saying I’m suffering from pcs again. I’m glad you reminded me that I need to find a good thing from it. It took me along time before to have that mindset but I agree. Thank you

    Ryan, Glad to see that you're getting better. I don't know if you remember me. I am an old school friend. We did video tech back at Dundee Ridge Middle together with Ms. Kirby. We took that trip behind the scene at Universal Studios where your dad worked at the time. In Florida. My short term memory is okay, but I have a great long term memory. It's great to see you again.

    Thanks for sharing. I went from doing 10 - 15 multitasking, scheduling, analyzing and organizing processes 16 hrs a day to 3 to 5 for 4 hrs. I'm finishing my BA and responding to my "new norm" by research, slower processing and limited interactions with large groups (especially shopping). My hormone balance is still off, but I'm working on it.

      Have you looked into upper cervical chiropractic? It's helped me a ton Dr. Drew Hall has some good videos about it.

    I have had a concussion for over 2 months now and find it hard to keep believing that things will get better. I know I have gotten better since the accident but it is very slow. A lot of what you said really resonated with me so thankyou!

    It's been 6 months since I hit my head and I still struggle with headaches. I'm in a recovery program and have recovered some, but I'm still SO FAR from normal. I just want my life back and it's very hard to stay positive on this journey

      @@MrCtrath If your symptoms last over two weeks you could have a neck misalignment that is partially blocking the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. You may want to check out an upper cervical chiropractor and get that straightened out it really is helping me with post concussion syndrome.

      @@borisenchev2893 im feeling pretty good! So thankful for that! Im soon to return back to work. My latest accomplishment is driving for 2 hours straight. Im back to weight lifting.     I'm going on 3 months recovery now! Finally making real progress. I felt like I was going insane. (You may feel like you are dying. But just know that it will all pass. He is so correct!) Time heals!! Your brain will repair itself. Not much you can do but give your brain what it needs. When you are tired, sleep. Get on a strict eating schedule. (Smoothies and shakes helped me so much in the mornings. It made eating solid food the rest of the day so much easier.❤️Goodluck. God bless.

      Did you experience ups and downs during your recovery?
      Some weeks I feel pretty good and I only get dizzy when I’m exerting myself. The next week I’ll be getting headaches and get dizzy really easily.
      Did it all just gradually get better for you until you didn’t notice it anymore?

      @@AegisAuras there are many ups and downs. I've had many dizzy days and totally incapable days. For the first 2 months I wasnt quite able to take care of myself. I couldn't grocery shop because of crowds. I'm still out of work. I STILL have bad days. I'm still on my way to recovery. Yesterday I did some light weight lifting and felt good. And today I feel tired and a little tingly. However I have experienced much worse symptoms than this about a month ago.
      Just know that the bad days won't last forever. They will slowly get less severe and less frequent. Time has been the key for me. Please be patient with yourself. You aren't dying. And you will heal!
      It IS a gradual progression.

      @@AegisAuras this is great information. I lived on my own before the injury. I was unable to properly take care of my self. Grocery shop. Make my own food sometimes. I had to travel down south to seek care from my family. When i did i was able to get on a strict diet. It improved my crashing and headaches a bit. Time and sleep is what really did it for me.     I developed PCS after a fall last March. I am feeling much better now thanks to seeing a behavioural optometrist. But I am still prone to 'overload' if I do to much, particularly driving or using the computer. It has been a slow process.

    Please reply , its been 2 years since I receieved a concussion. I havent at all cured it completely. My biggest persisiting sympton is that whenever I pass over trenches or speed humps on bike, the push from dowb and the shock comes all the way up and hits my bran ,my brain kinda tilts which causes temporary headaches, a little difficulty in speaking. Could you please what sort of symptom is this along with the remedies 😢😢

    I fell down and smashed my head on the kitchen floor. My right front eye brow had a bad nasty cut like what boxers get in a fight.
    Took me 4 months to fully recover.
    The worse 4 months of my life. I was so dizzy all the time, lost my appetite, light and sound really aggervated my senses, but at the same time Im glad it happened because even though bumping my head made by brain foggy, it also gave me clarity on something ive been trying to figure out for 20 years.
    As messed up of a cut I have on my face, If i could go through with it all over again I would.

    Man this sucks I’ve been dealing with this for ducking 2 years dropped out of college my senior year. Loss of self and depression has been horrible but I will not Give up

    I've had 2 tbi with in two years .I'm on my second one a year in .my fog has dissipated some what .my memory so so nerve pain hurts severe .eyes head.and neck and brain .I have episodes 15 hrs of massive pain ..if I could fix pain I could do the rest .I have a son who needs me its workers comp they don't want to help .I pray God has a plan ..one step at a time ..

    I bought all 3 of my kids a blend jet for there stocking. Just so happens my 15 yr old got a bad concussion playing baseball didn’t clear him for contact for 12 month months. Very painful to watch Him struggle doesn’t show a lot of emotion at all anymore.
