Takehito truly is the best VA for Dio. He's also the voice actor of Young Balder / Masked Lumen in bayonetta 2, another dude who can stop time. He's talented indeed.

Fun fact about Patrick Seitz: He also voices Dracula from Castlevania. Both him and Dio are the main antagonists, they’re vampires and were created around the same time Castlevania: 1986 JoJo=1987

I guess the closest comparison I could make is how Mundus in DMC1 had this oppressive and down right creepy atmosphere about him that gave off the feeling that he was monitoring your every action, and planned everything behind Mallet Island to get rid of Dante once and for all.
I'm sorry, but you're just factually incorrect, Mr. Bruhmoment. The OVAs had smoother animation, making it look natural, there's far more movement to it than the anime. That's okay though, it's not a bad thing, David Productions anime is animated well when the characters move, it's just that the anime was made as a weekly series, a new episode had to air every week, whereas the OVAs didn't have a set release date so they could've worked on the animation for as long as they wanted. That's why it looks so good, because they had the time to spend on it looking good and then release it whenever they wanted, instead of setting a weekly limit for each episode. It takes up to six weeks to complete a full scene and everyone has to do their part in order to finish a full episode, that's why Dragon Ball Super episode 5 and the Golden Freeza arc looked so bad, because they simply didn't have the time. It got much better later on but that's because they had more to time to work on the remainder of the series, Super's production just started too early and that's why it melted so early on. Even Diamond Is Unbreakable had a similar problem, they didn't have the time to polish it, until the show finished and we got the blu-ray corrections of course, the show looked great, they just didn't have the time to complete it. That's why the OVAs have better animation, because they didn't need to worry about a release date, they released them when they felt that they had finished them.

Isshin Chiba is so underrated like bro he knows how to be DIO. Of course Takehito Koyasu is a god at DIO but Isshin possibly rivals him. I think Isshin needs more love tbh.
Tanaka doesn’t get enough credit. He really brings the more spooky side of DIO other than the deranged side. He’s obviously no Koyasu, but Tanaka definitely gave a good performance in my eyes
For Japanese, I can never unhear Takehito. His voice is deep and almost resonates through the entire body. But at the same time, there’s the thing where he can switch between that classic condescending tone for when Dio is being a composed jerk. But when switches up and goes absolutely insane, the gruff growls complete everything. It’s different to how his original voices sound like just everyday normal, guys. Then you got Patrick Seitz, which I believe is one of the best and closest in tone translations I’ve ever seen. The poetic dialogue, the smooth attitude carried by the voice alone. It totally fits!
Fun fact: Japanese Anime Dio also voiced Snufkin from the '90s Moomin cartoon... and in the Italian dub of the OVA, Dio's dubber also dubbed '90s Snufkin in italian. They didn't dub the anime so far.

I think in the dub, it sounds cool when DIO says "Now, The World!", but it doesn't sound nearly as cool as "Za Warudo!", yet I still think it makes sense for him to say The World
TL;DR: Dub is good, but Sub is better, but I still think, logically, dub DIO should say "The World"

Ya know I actually like the old version of the show. There's alot more unsettling scenes and nice transitions happening. I gotta give it to Takehito. He is the perfect voice for dio.

Tanaka doesn’t get enough credit. He really brings the more spooky side of DIO other than the deranged side. He’s obviously no Koyasu, but Tanaka definitely gave a good performance in my eyes

Outside of Takehito, my other favorites are Isshin Chiba and Andrew Chaikin. They capture DIO's sinister and larger than life personality perfectly.
For Japanese, I can never unhear Takehito.
His voice is deep and almost resonates through the entire body. But at the same time, there’s the thing where he can switch between that classic condescending tone for when Dio is being a composed jerk. But when switches up and goes absolutely insane, the gruff growls complete everything. It’s different to how his original voices sound like just everyday normal, guys.
Then you got Patrick Seitz, which I believe is one of the best and closest in tone translations I’ve ever seen. The poetic dialogue, the smooth attitude carried by the voice alone. It totally fits!
Fun fact: Japanese Anime Dio also voiced Snufkin from the '90s Moomin cartoon... and in the Italian dub of the OVA, Dio's dubber also dubbed '90s Snufkin in italian.
They didn't dub the anime so far.
Hands down I love the OVA DIO so much.
