I'm 40. The original was released in 1998. I was 18. A high school senior. I was a jock (captain of the famous local soccer team), nerd (I taught myself genetics at 13), teen heartthrob at my school and I jammed the original so loud that the Vice Principal became a fan.
One of the best remixes of all times - next to "Trip like i do" from Filter and The Crystal Method and "Torn appart" from Stabbing Westward and Josh Wink
oooh reminds me a little of trip like i do from SPAWN... and the style of remix reminds me of Reaps and Tweaker Ray (the best mixer gods on youtube u should check out his NINE INCH NAILS remix especially perfect drug green dream remix)
Creative differences? I'm not sure why this band went there ways, as so many great Rock groups have done in the past, but this is one example why I wished they had just kept moving along well into today!
yeah The Dreaming aren't bad but sound super mainstream and all the songs are like, idk. super generic. all have the same beat. SW was different though. All songs were different
There wasn't creative differences. Their manager at the time controlled what they did musically. She fired the guitarist and changed all the songs to major keys instead of minor keys. Luckily Stabbing Westward is currently being reformed and is releasing a new album later this year.
I agree. It's in my Top 5 songs of all time. Alongside Tool - The Grudge, Soundgarden - Hands All Over, Jane's Addiction - Mountain Song, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Salvation
Hearing songs like these for the first time, when you're older, is so f*cking awesome.

Yes, I did check out of few. Clearly their direction changed, yet never to the degree of success Stabbing Westward achieved. Maybe in time.

It's awesome , but i wouldn't go that far ; the original is too much of a masterpiece.
