Chef Alvin: eats a chunk of lamb
- “I can taste the lamb”
Lol I laughed so hard at that moment
Earlier they said that a good rack of lamb showcases itself he was saying that because sometimes seasoning can take over a dish
He meant that it wasn't overpowered by the wine and Dijon
* insert drew gooden *
Yes, i can confirm that that's the highest compliment from a Cantonese speaking person (Alvin) to a chef, We Canton people tend to not season our dishes with heavy spices, if you can taste the ingredient itself, that's like the best, the way similar to Japanese cuisine.
4:37 Claudio even cleans up his station like a master chef
He is a MasterChef!
That was intenseeeee
It's fun to see how they manage their time. They all went to grab equipments then cook. Claudio however knew he could grab the equipment while his stuff was cooking.
My thoughts exactly
exactly, I found that really interesting as well seeing how different home cooks all running to get equipment while Claudio doing the more efficient way.
It's definitely an experience thing. Everybody rushes for their equipment because at first glance that seems to be the smarter move, and as homecooks they probably start their routines out the same way, with all of their equipment at the ready. Claudio has experience as a chef with a routine to match working in a restaurant.
@@DynastyLuminous46 even i knew they shouldve start cooking the lamb from the get-go so you can have almost all 60 mins to cook that lamb without worrying being undercooked

I love how the judges in Masterchef Canada can actually cook unlike Joe Mama in Masterchef US
Well, they all have Chef in their titles like Chef Claudio, Chef Michael, Chef Alvin. Meanwhile, Joe is just a restaurant owner, not a Chef.

They actually look and feel like family here. Almost like brothers 😅
What a savage Alvin is, just grabs the pear and crunches it.
Imagine he was just hungry for some fruit
Everyone " I want to stand out and think out of the box.." Also everyone "pistachio-crusted lamb with sweet potato puree"
I think they've been given "recipes." Not like a full step by step as you know it, but a basic guide. Makes no sense that a lot of them have never made something before and come out swinging in these videos.
I think that's why they were all impressed by David, he didn't go for the crust and pureed it.

@@TheHarixx lol someones triggered
U.S.S.R to be completely honest, the speed at which every chef takes to cook something depends on how familiar they are with the ingredients. If Gordon Ramsay went up against a professional chef from China to make a hand pulled Chinese noodle soup dish, I can guarantee you the Chinese chef would have a better dish. It’s all about the amount of experience and exposure a chef has, to certain ingredients. It’s not all about how well rounded you are. It depends on what you’re making.
