If it were Joe he'd be like, "I'm supposed to eat this crap? Go back to your station, I'm not tasting this." Then go on rant about not wanting his time wasted and that the chefs "have to know what he's looking for in this point of the competition"

Let’s be real it’s OUR fault the judges are rude. We the audience are the ones who decided to watch and thus support shows like Hells kitchen and kitchen nightmares, so of course they think that’s what WE want, and that’s fair. Further proof? Joe, the poster child for mean judges, is NOTHING like that off camera, though he is tough in his own kitchens as any chef would be.

But what about 41:42? She took 3 attempts at the Béarnaise - and Masterchef Claudio was literally stammering, saying how he took nearly _100._

So much respect for the man, i cried watching that battle because he manage to still finish the dish although it failed at the end. And unlike some bald judge, MC Canada knows when to at least commend their contestants for finishing the race

Johnathan has taught us something. Sometimes in life it's not just about the end result. Sometimes, it's about the journey you took to get there. He had a good time, learned so so much and met so many talented people. In the end, even though he failed, he kept positive and walked away with a smile. Absolute LEGEND, mad respect.
The Egg omlet, Poached egg, and the soft boiled egg part is like trying to calm down 3 crying babies like thats difficult

Talent doesn’t do anything if you don’t practice and creativity means nothing if you good technical skills, you can learn how to be creative/learn to fake it. you don’t need someone to teach you art but having credentials means you are skilled and learned from professionals.

I love the Canadian judges, very kind, they give feedback, and they respect the contestants, not kicking them while they're down. Masterchef is so aggressive, and one of the judges just berates people to make them feel small.

I like that the judge for Jonathan didn’t “kick him while he was down” like he said, he gave it his all and still smiled throughout
Mad props to that first guy, he knew he was going home but he took it on the chin like a man.
He was a real trooper. As people that cook, we have all had something come out wrong at some time. I know I most certainly have had food not come out the way I wanted. I felt for him for sure. Poor guy, but he definitely kept smiling and didn’t let it get him down!
Claudio is pure class. Joe could learn a thing or two from him.
Hes the least polite out of the 3, although still miles above Gordon and Joe, Michael is probably the nicest.

here i am its 4pm and i'm crying over how sweet the judge was to the chef who failed making a that caramel dessert ,and i gained so much respect to the judge cause he actually tasted it and gave it a positive feedback that's how a chef treats anoher.
Chef alvin is hard on Eric in such a loving encouraging way, I love seeing their relationship
They actually made a restaurant together so they are comrades now lol
Probably like a strict Asian father figure to him.
Not too surprising since they both had similar origin stories; they both were engineers before finding out they're passionate about cooking.
@@willyjum yeah, i think chef Alvin saw a little bit of himself in Eric which is why he gave him the chance in the first place. He knew he was good, he just needed a little push.
Cos they're both great cooks (now chefs) and engineers. Not to mention they're Asians, so Chef Alvin understands the pressure that Eric is going through. Having a degree in engineering isn't good enough for Asian parents sometimes 🤣🤣🤣
This is why I love Master Chef Canada. They are more forgiving and are not... rude with you.

The Asian chef sounds like Squidward when he yells. I noticed it when I looked away for like 10 seconds and could only hear his voice.

This is Why I love MasterChef Canada So much more than the U.S. version
Gordon Ramsay would never say something of that caliber of insult. Sure, he’s got tough things to say, but they’re useful critiques. What he has to say doesn’t attack the person as an individual, but rather tries to help explain to them what they should’ve done differently. Joe is just a plain ol’ douchebag about even the smallest of things and doesn’t even TRY to give constructive criticism.

i would want a cook-off between a competitor and the chefs, that way we would see if these chefs could actually cook a better dish under the same time pressure as the contestants are facing.

Chef Michael - a classy gentleman, the nicest, most calm, most gentle, most patient, most polite, gives a well structured advice
Chef Claudio - cool 'mysterious boy next door' style, mildly outspoken one, kinda sassy but still collected, gives concise words
Chef Alvin - daring bad boy style, very outspoken and critical, kind but very straightforward, kinda the scariest of the 3 but still friendly and approachable
Although Chef Michael is my favorite, I love all of them. They balance each other out perfectly and they are such the perfect judges for the show. Their individual personalities and backgrounds make them very eligible. They have less drama than their US counterparts. They're all very professional, gives very good tips and are all very friendly. Masterchef Canada and Masterchef Australia has the nicest judges.
