At 3:30 we stop at Broad & Market streets. In the 20's this was the busiest intersection in the country.

Parts of Newark are stunning. I don't think there is any other U.S. city with more potential. Newark is blessed with a major port, world class international airport, top universities, museums, parks, sports arena, performing arts center,, proximity to New York and superb public transit. Let's hope Penn Station gets renovated they way the did The Hanes building, which is amazing. Block by block this city is coming to life. Give it 10 years and you won't be able to afford to live there.

Downtown Newark in the heart of Newark is such a beautiful area. The greatest view of Newark is from one of the upper levels of the Prudential Center. The gritty and dirty areas of Newark can easily make you overlook the parts of it that are beautiful. Thank you for the memories.

Going through that Yellow @ 4:28 reminded me of a REALLY BAD NJT bus crash like 4 or 5 years ago, it's here on TH-cam.

My mother worked at Bambergers in the 1950's-1960's and I was in downtown Newark many times as a kid. My father would drive down to pick her up sometimes and I think we waited on Halsey street. Shopped in all the stores.....ate food at some cafeteria type places. Took the bus usually home to Irvington....Went to the movie theaters to see big films. Went to the Newark Drive-In too......Broad and Market was always crowded with people.......I have only fond memories of downtown Newark when I was a youth....1950's....Looks a lot different these days with some stunning buildings and I have been in some of them for my job but not for many years....I was born in a Newark Hospital and had some emergency care in another Newark Hospital.....Nice to see downtown looking pretty good.....

Might just be me but the fact that this was filmed right around dusk...and the absence of honking makes it all the better...great video.

Excellent video of the sights & excellent quality. I grew up in Newark and have worked there for many years. You caught the city at a perfect time of day. You could easily do two sequels to this video. Also enjoyed your walking tour of Newark. I just suscribed to your channel.

Very-well edited with notifications at end of screen providing the viewer with information on different locations, and landmarks of newark, NJ. Newark is a great city. Viewing from the U.K. Which leads me to say that, I hope you guys are following the EURO 2020 games. If you haven't viewed the france v portugal game of recent, then check it out. Pogba had a marvelous game for France.

Hello there, new friend here, number 59th! Great video. Am also a tour youtuber but I mostly do walking videos in the area where I live, in Union City and Jersey City, New Jersey, and beyond. Wow, that glass building in 4:33 such beautiful. Also, the area of the Penn Station, at the end of the video, is really beautiful. Like #5

The glass building referred to at 4:33 is actually two glass towers. They're the Prudential Financial buildings and we're completed about six years ago. More impressive in person.

Dead, you should've seen it 50 or 60 years ago. Downtown at this hour was so crowded you almost couldn't move. Now Newark is vacant and sad.

Nice ride, and a few new buildings but sad to say, (again), Newark ain't what it used to be. 60 years ago this ride would've taken three hours. I'm glad alot of people think downtown is pretty. To me, it's one of the most beautiful downtowns in the country. It just needs the people back. I'm a broken record but do you know that official estimates from the 50's said that there were one million people in Newark during business hours. Half a million residents and half a million workers and shoppers.
    You should've seen it!

You should extend your driving videos to other places in the US! And it would be even better! Keep up the good work!

So many churches in Newark that’s why the taxes for the houses are so high, I was paying 10,000 yr in tax for my house in the forest hill 🙈
