this ranking is full of nonsense. i live in Germany and no one would say that Bielefeld is better than Munich or Cologne. For example Freiburg, Baden-Baden or Würzburg, are better places than Berlin.
Fantastic and very helpful. Extremely proud to learn Darmstadt came in at the number 1 city in which to live in Germany. I lived there many decades ago as a military dependent. Lived in Darmstadt for four years. Have the fondest of memories. Both the other military families, as well as the locals, were the absolute best. Created friendships then that still exist today. Cambrai Fritsch Kaserne and Lincoln Village housing, where we lived, are both gone now. Part of my heart and spirit are still in Darmstadt.
I lived in Germany for several years in multiple cities. This ranking is absolutely BS. How can Munich and Hamburg rank so low??? Many pieces of information are downright wrong (e.g. number of pêople speaking English). The atrocious pronunciation of the cities' name' should be a red flag.
@@WealthEngineering If you make enough money, because these places are very expensive: Munich or Hamburg. Berlin, but only if you are young, an artist with leftist views. But even Berlin is quite expensive. Less expensive: Köln and Düsseldorf.
I am a bit surprised. Nobody in Germany would say that Jena or Bremen or Karlsruhe are better cities for life than Frankfurt or Cologne or Dusseldorf. I see the qualities of smaller cities, but it can't be that the fresh air and safety in the streets would be decisive qualities.
Please watch the list but necessarily in the order of cities. Darmstadt is definately not the no1 city in Germany for sure. Its a nice list but not serially.
A nice scenic city, but not internationally known nor large enough to qualify for an employment magnet - it has Frankfurt on one side and Nuremberg on the other
Yeah I also was surprised by "Dresden having LGBT friendly quality". As far as I know, Dresden is a sort of beautiful, but still quiet and basically provincial city. Once I waited for the flixbus there next to the train station, and for like 50 minutes nobody passed by me, I was completely alone standing. It was like a desert.
Berlin 😍😍😍 the only place I visited k nthay list and I fell in love with it on the same day... The women were sooo beautiful and sooo feminine, it was like a magnet pulling me towards them 😍😍😍 and saw so many Mercedes too... My favorite car brand.
Frankfurt - yes / most international city in Germany even over Berlin due to it's airport and central location / pricey / Nuremberg - yes / international city mainly on it's history, tourism and engineering / moderate to pricey Duesseldorf - yes /international for fashion and media; located nicely for travel to Benelux / moderate to pricey Cologne - yes /international on media / party city/ great location/ moderate to pricey. Stuttgart - yes / not really international mainly the "detroit of Germany without the bankruptcy/pricey Munich - yes/ international and Germany's most expensive city to live / pricey Berlin - yes / international and the capital / very very chaotic like NYC/ moderate to pricey Bremen - no / not really international outside of the port / nice downtown/ moderate Leipzig - no / not international outside of the Book fair / nicely reconstructed since 1989/ moderate to low cost of living Dresden - no / not international, downtown reconstructed nicely and easy access to Prague and Poland like Berlin / moderate to low cost of living Hof - no, not international and very small / geographically disadvantaged but easy access to the Czech Republic. Cost of living is low and no comparision to the large cities of Germany. Aachen - no not international but nicely placed along the Belgian/Dutch Border / cost of living moderate Bielefeld - no, not international and only known for Dr. Oetker Baking goods/ cost of living moderate to low Ulm - not international and lies between Stuttgart and Munich/ cost of living moderate Heidelberg - international / known for the university and castle - cost of living - pricey Jena - international no but known for Zeizz Optics/ cost of living low - small city. Dortmund - international no - known for it's soccer team and beer / cost of living moderate to low Karlsruhe - international no - nicely placed on the French Border / chemical industries / cost of living moderate to low Darmstadt - international no - basically connected to Frankfurt / cost of living - moderate to high due to the proximity of the greater Rhein-Main area.
Nuremberg is big and very much a lively city - not sure if you were asleep or high. The only large city with a complete intact medieval core still surrounded by moat walls and a castle atop. With a metro area of 1.4 million it's one of Germany's top 11 metro regions and has a large perecentage of PhDs in engineering, medical, and stem sciences. I lived there for 10 years and heard more english speakers than in Stuttgart, Bremen, and Hannover. Cost of living is pricey, but not as bad as Munich - great airport - anywhere in Europe or Turkey and it's train station is one of the largest in Germany being centrally located along 4 autobahns that convene on the city.
Great Video !

Freiburg and bermen are cheap and best place to live in Germany. Salaries are also higher here

Nah putting Bremen over Hamburg is wild already but that far is an insult

What would you be your top 5 place to live in Germany?

Why do you always put the "Germany" after the city name? This video is about German towns!
Münster and Freiburg is missing 😮
Two university towns that aren't international and high on expat list
Spent 3yrs in Manheim (82-85) what a time to be alive !
my condolences
Pleaz make your top ten best of Florida😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Correct - nowhere near number 1
Good night from PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Happy new year 2024
What happened to wurzburg?
A nice scenic city, but not internationally known nor large enough to qualify for an employment magnet - it has Frankfurt on one side and Nuremberg on the other
In Dresden everyone values diversity??? Exept on Mondays, I guess.

I lived in Dresden my whole live and i never have Problems. Dresden ist beautiful 👍
Dresden is very underrated!
@@michaelfetzer8536 Dresden is overrated - nice old center, the rest just like any other big city.
@@Kinlever I agree; visited several times - loved the old center, but the rest was 1970s concrete garb.
Leipziggggg❤️❤️❤️
My second home!
Hof is like a large village!
exactly!
Berlin 😍😍😍 the only place I visited k nthay list and I fell in love with it on the same day...

how old are you 11?
The population of Frankfurt is over 4 million
Not true. Just google it.
Never
760000 .....
The population of the GREATER FRANKFURT REGION is 4 million not the city itself.
What a weird list. Don’t go live in Jena or Darmstadt if you are foreign. I lived 3 years in Jena - worse period of my life
Oh yes , Jena is a bit small!
Darmstadt ......Karlsruhe ....this man never was there 😂😂😂 mannheim is the best lol but only with a knife....
Mannheim? Uh no.

Just hate all these AI generated videos. Almost worthless, just based on some more or less random data and not real life experience.
HeArd Bremen is not safe!
It isn't - it's also bankrupt
Dortmund 😂😂😂😂😂 OMG
I know
Nuremburg ha, like Nev Yorg, USA

Nuremberg is really awful 🤮 and where are the bars???
The entire downtown pedestrian zones are filled with BARS! In fact, that area never gets sleep - you must have been drunk yourself.
Great video❤❤
