You certainly had the weather for it Dylan, looked cracking! That Rockling was stunning, the colours and markings were impressive. I love them, every one seems to look different. Well done on winkling a few out, you did well given the bright conditions. Great watch as always bud, see you on the next one 👍👍🙏
Thanks Gareth mate, it was lovely down there at that time of morning, waiting for the sun to rise was quite special. Nice to get in the board, only 3 of us weighed in, so goes to show how hard the conditions were👍🎣🙏🙏
A cracking rockling of the shore there Dylan, I do like an early morning fish, favourite time of day. Glad you got on the score board mate. Appreciate your efforts 👍🏼👍🏼🎣
Cheers dude, really orange that one. Thought it may have been a gurnard when we first saw it. Mate the see was alive down there with bass, just out of range for me unfortunately. cheers buddy👍👍🎣🎣🙏
Thanks buddy, well the weather wasn't all that with us buddy, rained most of Sunday, got my wetsuit on and went looking for some spiders. So fishing tonight, hopefully bass on👍👍🎣🎣🤞
Thanks mate, was a super slow session. Seems that all the comp fixtures are hard work. Had a nice bass last night though, trying freezing for the first time. No lead, just straight through to the bait. Really good fun👍👍🎣🎣
We got caught in a thunderstorm in that very spot on Sunday at midnight, no bivvy or brolly! That was hard work getting out of there with all our gear at midnight 😂. Great vid mate, loved that rockling.
Thanks buddy, mate that's a nightmare of a walk back in the rain. It's such a nice place to fish, but I've never really done very well down there. Some of the best fish on the island come from there, and I never seem to find them 😂😂🎣🎣👍👍
Cheers dude, managed to salvage something from it. Was really hard going. Maybe we were a bit early in the year, but seems to be plenty of wrasse about. 👍👍🎣
Cheers Steve, got me the best specimen so was really chuffed to be honest. Daytime fishing is so much harder. Can't wait for the bream to come in in numbers, great fun🎣🎣👍👍
Hi Dylan Congratulations on the rockling, personal I think there a stunning fish.. when I lived in Ireland we would catch some real monsters... With the weather coming good hopefully there will be a few fish for the bbq.... Cheers Dylan take it easy... 😎🎣
Ah nice mate, I bet there were some stonkers, funny things aren't they. Massive gobs on them, and feel really strange to the touch. Amazing patterns in then though. Fingers crossed for those bream buddy. Nice bass last night so that's dinner sorted 😉👍👍🎣🎣
Cheers dude, yeah be nice to see you out, I'm missing this one unfortunately, fingers crossed I can claw it back. Was a lovely morning down there, fish was alive with fish, just couldn't get em😂🎣🎣👍👍
What a lush morning! Clonker of a rockling there👍 I’m struggling to get out at the moment buddy but your vids are a helping to fill the void! Cheers pal, take care👍😎
Thanks buddy, very kind. It was super nice to be out that early, shame the fish didn't show, only 3 of us weighed in so goes to show there wasn't alot out there. Soon come for those bream though. Had an invite to go to chesil, so might go at some point. I've fished it for mackerel before, but proper fishing, but of a mission from here though👍👍🎣🎣
Thanks buddy, yeah there has been some beautiful wrasse had from there. One of the guys had about 4lb last time out, but unfortunately it wasn't to be our day. 👍👍🎣
Thanks Lee, yeah I bet it was different even just 10 years ago. There does seem to be more fish in the daytime on the mainland though which is weird. Appreciate your support mate thank you👍👍🎣
Hi Dylan, came over from Brighton early in the week fished quite a lot of different venues. Best venue Norton's wall quite a few hounds bass and Conga found a little gem wotton Creek Right down at the end. A secret beach. Lots of hound activity. If you don't know it, you should try it a little walk but well worth it. Fish to the left buy the groyn .Video Good as always. Tight lines 🎣
Ah I'm glad you found some fish. Do you mean fishbourne side by the ferry or Woodside through the park, also there is a mark called players which has plenty of hounds. Nothing massive, but plentiful. I'm heading to Norton tomorrow as it happens, got some spider crab, so hoping for a bass and maybe a hound 🤞👍👍🎣🎣
@@FrugalOutdoors we had a great time. No I mean drive right to the bottom of wooden creek drive past little Canada holiday camp and keep going When you get right to the end. There's a foot path that takes you down to a really nice little beach. That's where we fished the best spot was to the left of that beach. There is a groin there casting to the left of the groin. Hope you get chance to go there. It's a great spot. Just a little bit of a walk. Tight lines 🎣
Hi Dylan, Very new to your channel and fishing. Over 40 years since I last fished. When I say 'last fished' I have been fishing the last 12 months or so, not very well. You give me Hope. I saw on one of your vid's you have a line in hoodies, they look good. If you have time can you let me know and how to perches. Oh, by the way fabulous vid's .
Hi Richard, Thanks buddy, and to be fair, I don't think you are alone in struggling at the moment, the fishing seems to be very hit and miss. If you have a look on the description of a video, or on the about page, you will find details on prices and contact information👍🎣🎣
I prefer early morning fishing, especially sea rather than course, you don't get so many folk in the way or asking if you've caught anything or worse, 'that's cruel'. My grandson said he got told that last week, I told him to ignore them and fish early, trouble is he's a teenager. Take care, Norfolk Ray
I do like early morning, but I feel do find it fishes better at night, certainly for us here on the island. Although the bream bite well in the mornings. I don't know why some people seem to think it's ok to voice there opinion so openly. Just because someone doesn't like something, doesn't give them the right to preach. Stuff like that annoys me. I think I'd have probably said something else😂😂👍👍🎣🎣
Hi Dylan, that was a lovely Rockling . What polarised glasses would you recommend. I have a pair but they are like my shore fishing at the moment (naff). Tight lines mate.
Thanks Simon, the ones I wear at the moment, are O'Neill. But I'm waiting on some new Jake Ellis ones, so they are both more surfy glasses, but obviously meant for being by the sea. They do really help to see through the glare. 👍👍🎣🎣
Hey mate, unfortunately I don't have a kayak to do a video with. There is loads of bass showing around there, from freshwater to blackgang. Good on lures I'd say. Got a bass last night, but that was on bait👍👍🎣🎣
I've always been told after you have a bite, to hold on to the rod to feel for another one before striking. I don't think there is a right or wrong way, just preference I guess👍👍🎣
I saw on the internet that there is a IOW sea angling forum that discusses fishing and catches. I asked to join the forum in FB but nobody has authorised me. Maybe it’s not used now? Do anyone know or an active forum I can join?
Hi buddy, yeah there is a fishing page, there are a few on the island actually. Iow sea fishing I think it's called. Slamfishiow is another. I'm not on Facebook so can't help you out more than that👍👍🎣🎣
Lovely rockling Dylan...amazing colour...enjoy the Festival..tight lines.
Right little stunner wasn't it. Out to get so hopefully can get a video together with some fish 😂😂👍👍🎣
