Great content and thank you for sharing your real experience. Most Iranians like me have never seen the parts of Iran that you traveled through. It's similar to travelling through the US via North and South Dakotas, Wyoming, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. Safe travels and good luck!
Marc, wife and I found your channel months ago and have become big fans. We started watching from your very first post ,we are up to where you have just entered Africa. Seeing you out there on the Honda was only thing but this electric bike has us on the edge of our seats. Europe and charging is one thing but Africa and beyond talk about being a thrill seeker and adventurer, that is respect. We will be watching your whole adventure and where ever life takes you that you are kind enough to share with the world. I hear you mention the people out there that choose to write negative things and just do not get it. I would say, here is someone that had a vision, a dream, and has made it happen at great cost to his personal life I am sure. Can you say that? Gods speed, please be safe to you and Maree. Thank you for the endless hours you put into this just so we can tag along. Tot Tot
All i can say is wow, just found your channel and watched for the past 2 hours to catch up, you are one of a kind person. You have true grit and determination. I know it is not easy, sometimes you want to quit but trust me push harder and dig deep into your soul you will not regret pushing past your limits. God speed
You have big BALLs bro!!:)))) I'm Iranian but have never, ever been in those suburbs! I really hope someday you revisit Iran, because this country is vast and we have many interesting places that can be a very different experience for U and your TH-cam channel visitors. Wish u the best
Wishing you all the best for Pakistan! Your Iran crossing was so beautiful and amazing! Stay humble, stay curious and please, don’t you ever stop uploading! ;) your videos are amazing! Cheers from Vietnam
I hope you will be successful, it takes courage to visit so many countries with unknown cities, not popular cities. As an Iranian, I have not traveled to 70% of the cities 😁(because I'm 17😅). God bless you
Marc you should come to India when ladakh that is known as the Mecca of biking is accessible. That will be after winter. I would love to meet you if you visit India especially kashmir.
Not quite the 4🌟, but a place to sleep none the less. I too remember not being able to find rooms on my bike trips, and many a time ended up sleeping in cardboard boxes at industrial estates!
Cuz of the cheap price of feul in Iran, there are a lot of fuel smuggling into Pakistan and Afghanistan from the cities close to the border like Zahedan. There is always feul shortage in those cities and the trucks have to wait a long time to get diesel.
Hey Marcus love your trip to iran , please understand that Zahedan is least Developed major city in Iran , the iranian government have no interest or love for spending our people oil money to Developed our cities, since our money spend to regime proxies and having biggest sanctions there would be poverty, But believe me our richest think would be our hospitality, if you have same problem just ask your fellow followers to give a palace, we iranian having famous word : guests are love from God, hopefully you will visit us again to having another pleasant experience.
It's just so amazing how one person can change another persons life and experience so much! Meeting Mohammed must be the greatest thing that happened to you in Iran! Much love towards him ♥
It must be tough doing this journey on your own. You're doing great 👍 You're doing something that no one else has done with an electric bike. Massive achievement up to now. Well done for keeping filming when you probably don't feel so good or its not going well.
After a very long day, you made it to accommodation Marc. Well done and the Iranian people are so friendly and hospitable. Keep up your great travels!!
4:29 - From what I read in a newspaper article last year, they have only been expanding the EV charging infrastructure in India in an organized effort since 2021 / 2022 and initially only on highways / main roads and near metropolitan areas and larger cities. Route planning in India could therefore still be done with caution and care.
Hey Marcus, happy to see you managed to find a spot, having a friend you can count on! No 4* maybe but who cares, home stay gives a more real experience of the country. And don't despair. You may have to sleep on the ground or a bench next to the bike some time behind a gas station building, plugged in through a window, but as long as you're safe it's just discomfort and part of the adventure. It all could be much worse ;-) I slept in an unfinished building on the concrete floor once just to have some shelter, and turned out fine. Not even really uncomfortable wearing protective motorcycle clothing :-) No worries, let's do it!
Weiterhin gute Reise.
When I travelled with my brother through France and into Spain, we would call my wife in UK and she would find a hotel for us to go to, while we were on the road, riding. It is a godsend to have someone ringing around, and in your case, speaking the language, explaining your needs - not expensive, recharge the bike and wifi. Mohamed, I'm sure, is very happy to help you find accomodation in his country. And it could be seen on the video how much of a relief it was for you to have somewhere to go! You are doing great on this very unique adventure. Very brave!!
Thats what I'm thinking, for me its like a new experience. Im so stranger to these cities and the country side, its like Im watching a documentary about another country. I dont know why I never visited that part of Iran. Did I mentioned Im Iranian? Lived there for some 20 years but im learning about that side of Iran & Iranians from your videos. This is something most of the world dont understand, but thats how a multi ethnic country is.
Hey Marc, what a amazing video series across Iran. I love the scenery, the desert and mountain. For an European guy, it is a very appealing landscape to me, because it is totally different then what I am used to. I can understand the frustration of the Iran-based viewers, but as a motorcyclist I may have chosen the same route to simply cross a country. For just reaching a target location, it is not worth to detour multiple 100s of kilometer. Have a nice trip, stay safe! ❤
Yes true and honestly i don’t make videos to advertise countries, I just document my journey. Some of the new viewers from Iran don’t seem to understand what it is about here on this channel. But yeah leaving Iran in the next episode…than the new Pakistani viewers will tell me how I’m doing it wrong 😅
It's very good, at least you found a very normal room. I hope the rest of the adventure will be interesting and you will have time to see other places in Iran in the future.💥
Mohamed is doing a great job, nice trip and people are watching you from all over the world. You are a respectable person and deserve goodness. Ahmed Hassan from Somalia
That would be awesome is Eve had some kind of Dynamo. If it had that, You could activate it while you are going downhill and it starts charging batteries
Nürnberg some 10 years ago, no room available in a 50KM radius due to a forklift truck exhibition. Gave up at midnight. Had my van and slept on the floor in the back. This was before the hotel apps. Glad your friend sorted a place for you. Keep spirits up. As you show most days will end positive anyway.
Hello I am glad that you finally found a place to stay for the night I wish you were in our city to host you I am really proud of you Your biggest fan🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷
Ahh range anxiety in the desert!! But man such amazing scenery, and it's so cool that you can find these unique places to plug in. You probably wouldn't have stopped there otherwise!
Your brake pads lasting really well! Is that due to the regenerative motor braking? I’m really tempted by an electric bike after watching… I had to wait until I saw you got a hotel before sending. Really built the tension watching, felt for you here man!
It was a full day driving on the bike. Finally you have a room for the night. And for to morrow: on the road again to Pakistan! See you and wish you a good night!
the same thing happend to me a few times once i ended up sleeping on a sofa in a hostle another time i just slept on a bench at a service station. But with a electic bike you kinda HAVE to find a propper place to stay its still amazing how far you have done and allmost zero maintance
The reason is that as you saw there were deserts and no city for a huge range so the Zahedan is an integrated city with many people have no choice but to stay there so its always populated and overbooked due to hotels ...
Stay safe and enjoy!
I’m sure that day was very stressful for you. I can only imagine how hard it must be at the best of times when you’re alone in a foreign country. I’m sure the bad days are magnified x100!!!! I don’t know how you do it some days! You are a strong individual!
Marc, By the routes that you have taken in Iran you have successfully avoided anywhere that is developed or green in Iran. I hope you audience does not come away thinking that Iran is ONLY what you have shown in your videos. Iran has many more developed parts and large cities with city people and infrastructure. You have chosen to go by deserts, small towns and villages with very little infrastructure and people. But, no matter where you go in Iran as you experienced people of Iran always protect the foreigners traveling inside Iran. Bon Voyage
@@MarcTravels I like to see Eve swimming toward New Zealand! Just kidding. No matter which route you take, I will come back to your videos. I have heard that due to some security issues on Pakistani Iranian border area there may be multiple border check stops manned by Border Police as well as Military Guards.
ay bro i know its been long since you have been out of iran as i remember u said you wont publish them in real time i would love to see a videp after you are out of iran just to do a review and give your honest thoughts about the people culture and the country and maybe goverment i hope that you stay safe
When I've been in a similar situation to you looking for accomodation I found that asking a place that's full if they can recommend a place some times works. They can then phone around for you.
Hello Mark, thank you for your great channel! I have a question for you: do you have access to data (mobile internet) while you are on the highway? Is there network/mobile phone signal in the middle of the desert? And does Google map traffic feature work in Iran? I heart that due to sanctions, Google has blocked the GPS navigation in Iran. Have a good and safe trip 🏍️
Yeah, sometimes there are just days like this when not everything is going smooth. But thats probably the part of the adventure, right? :) Heads up and good luck on your journey ;)
Hi Mark. I see you often get worried about the milage left. Here are few more things that should work in your favour in tricky situations: - be smooth and moderate with the right hand - minimum or no braking - reduce air drag: bend yourself lower, visor closed, elbows in, knees in, mirrors in, backpack lower over the big bag, big bag reversed longitudinally - reduse rolling friction: pump your tires 10-15% above the nominal - less swerving and bike body rolling - might be your motor has economy mode? - shut off unnecessary consumers - when following trucks there is closer zone with thin air you can benefit from, and behind it turbulence area exists where it is even more difficult to progress forward Safe travels!
Searching sucks, had the same in Lyon ages ago, before internet, when we arrived at 9 at night. But isnt it possible to book from the phone so you dont waste time driving all over? But great with such a friend😊
What a trip it has been. I'm looking at Google Maps to find where you will cross between Iran and Pakistan. Looking forward to more adventures on an electric bike!
LOL - geting no room may happen to you in Germany, too. We once slept at the beach of Warnemünde because all hotels were full due to the event "Hanse Sail" and we didn't know. A nice security guy let us stay between the beach chairs as we explained our situation :-)
In some cities it sometimes happens that there is a convention or congres or trade fair and then all hotels are booked solid. It happens. Tip: often taxi drivers are a good source of practical knowledge about their city. This works in almost all big cities in the world. Good to remember.
And there I was thinking Australia was desolate! Thanks for posting yet another fascinating video. Such a dichotomy between Iranian citizens and their government.
So impressive what you are doing, all on an electric bike! Motorbiking touring van be hard, especially by yourself, so well done my man, keep pushing through and enjoy it, as you seem to be!
Man I wish I do the same one day. I really enjoy watching youtubers travel the world with motorbike. It is a promise to myself to do the same one day. Your videos are inspiring. Keep it up.
All trips have there difficult days that you have to tough your way through. The fates finally caught up with you but tomorrow is always a new day with new opportunities. Stay safe.
I think this region in Iran is amongst the least tourist visited ones that might be the reason why they didn’t have rooms. Most of the region is arid like salt lake city.
Hi Mark, if you don't have a place to sleep, go to religious places in any country, everything is free, except for the food that you have to get from the restaurant. If the mosque is closed, the next option is the police station in the city. They are the safest place, with free charging. I am from the north of Iran
you were quite lucky, that's a notoriously dangerous stretch of road, i had very heavy duty police escorts from Zahedan to Bam, only 400km but took 12 hours
It's a border area, so they hotels are not allowed to rent rooms to foreigners without police registration which is a hassle. So they give excuse that they are fully booked.
Hello Marc, you are very fast. It's certainly a record and an advertisement for the company that made your bike, but too fast to visit a country as big as Iran (1.5 million km sq )! The reason for the fuel shortage in this part of Iran is more likely due to smuggling. Iran is unable to stop smugglers. The price of fuel in Pakistan is so much higher and as you have seen the majority on both sides are so poor that many would risk their lives to keep the routes running.
Lucky you were able to tail gate that truck for a while thru the desert,. Who would think a country full of crude oil would be so short on diesel fuel 😁
@@MarcTravels Actually, it is not that strange. In Iran, a murderous, incompetent and criminal bunch are running the country. Their belief-system belongs to 1400 years ago. They have managed to take the country to the verge of bankruptcy and destruction in the past 44 years with their barbaric (=Islamic) ideology and actions. The majority of Iranians hate this regime and what it stands for. So, shortage of diesel fuel is the least of Iranians' worries or problems.
I wish I was there and I could find for you a nice place man, I left my country Iran four years ago and I know how hard it is!! when you are in another country and you are foreign!it's horrible really

- reduce air drag: bend yourself lower, visor closed, elbows in, knees in, mirrors in, backpack lower over the big bag, big bag reversed longitudinally
- reduse rolling friction: pump your tires 10-15% above the nominal
- less swerving and bike body rolling
- might be your motor has economy mode?
- shut off unnecessary consumers
- when following trucks there is closer zone with thin air you can benefit from, and behind it turbulence area exists where it is even more difficult to progress forward
Safe travels!
Alright, thanks for the tips 🤙🏼
Stay Cool
All these things happen
When you travel
Yes 🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels r u in Pakistan
Searching sucks, had the same in Lyon ages ago, before internet, when we arrived at 9 at night.
But isnt it possible to book from the phone so you dont waste time driving all over?
But great with such a friend😊
Yeah it is possible sometimes but they have their own „booking.com“ and it’s all in Farsi and a bit difficult for me
Thanks mate 🤙🏼
What a trip it has been. I'm looking at Google Maps to find where you will cross between Iran and Pakistan. Looking forward to more adventures on an electric bike!
Yes 🙌🏼 it will get very Adventurous soon 🔜
Glad you landed somewhere Be safe!
Thanks, will be 🤗
LOL - geting no room may happen to you in Germany, too.
We once slept at the beach of Warnemünde because all hotels were full due to the event "Hanse Sail" and we didn't know. A nice security guy let us stay between the beach chairs as we explained our situation :-)
Sleeping on the beach doesn’t sound too bad 🤩
In some cities it sometimes happens that there is a convention or congres or trade fair and then all hotels are booked solid. It happens.
Tip: often taxi drivers are a good source of practical knowledge about their city. This works in almost all big cities in the world. Good to remember.
Thanks 😊
You are probably the only german who has ever driven against the traffic in history 😅
Scary stuff but very very common in the next country 🇵🇰🫣
I was very sad that the episodes of Iran are over😢
Don’t be, now the Pakistan adventure starts 🙌🏼
And there I was thinking Australia was desolate! Thanks for posting yet another fascinating video. Such a dichotomy between Iranian citizens and their government.
Yeah people are amazing 🤩
such a dicotomy between usa goverment bombing innocent people and the normal americans dont know why countries around the world love them so much
So impressive what you are doing, all on an electric bike! Motorbiking touring van be hard, especially by yourself, so well done my man, keep pushing through and enjoy it, as you seem to be!
Will do 🤗💪🏼
✌@@MarcTravels
Man I wish I do the same one day. I really enjoy watching youtubers travel the world with motorbike. It is a promise to myself to do the same one day. Your videos are inspiring. Keep it up.
Go for it!🤗
All trips have there difficult days that you have to tough your way through. The fates finally caught up with you but tomorrow is always a new day with new opportunities. Stay safe.
Yes, true 🤗
I think this region in Iran is amongst the least tourist visited ones that might be the reason why they didn’t have rooms. Most of the region is arid like salt lake city.
Alright 🤙🏼
have a nice trip, good luck my bro
Thanks 🤙🏼
Hi Mark, if you don't have a place to sleep, go to religious places in any country, everything is free, except for the food that you have to get from the restaurant. If the mosque is closed, the next option is the police station in the city. They are the safest place, with free charging. I am from the north of Iran
Alright thanks for the tip 🤙🏼
Just I wonder to know how that old man knows such a good English !
He‘s been an English teacher 🤙🏼
Well done Marc.. do not lose hope.. stay focused man .. Hi from Italy
Will do 🤙🏼
After that day you need this thumbs up! Hang on in there!
Thanks man
you were quite lucky, that's a notoriously dangerous stretch of road, i had very heavy duty police escorts from Zahedan to Bam, only 400km but took 12 hours
Really? Wow
I know this is a sensitivs topic but do you know how’s Maree? Is she back in Germany? Doing alright?
In Croatia now, she’s alright 🤙🏼
Mohammad rocks!
Best thing you got from this whole journey is the amazing Friends you are making all over the world.
Yes 🙌🏼
It's a border area, so they hotels are not allowed to rent rooms to foreigners without police registration which is a hassle. So they give excuse that they are fully booked.
Ah okay, that makes sense then
Nothing has changed in 2000 years. Mary and Joseph ended up staying in a manger.. and she was pregnant ;)
Danke ☺️
Wow the emptiness of Iran...... breathtaking 🎉🎉
I really loved it too
iran is not empty he's just showing roads not the big cities 😭
@@greatviewirI’m showing what I see
@@MarcTravels well i saw most of ur iran videos and what you shown was mostly the roads between the cities
@@greatviewirwell, watch the rest of my videos, that’s what I do…i don’t like big cities
Lucky you were able to tail gate that truck for a while thru the desert,. Who would think a country full of crude oil would be so short on diesel fuel 😁
Yes it’s strange
It’s alright, there’s always someone to help 🤗
Pakistan is gonna be whole different level of adventure 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
We are waiting for your video in Isfahan.
Can you add Farsi subtitles for your videos?
There‘s no Isfahan video because I haven’t been🤙🏼
Man. Wish you a good luck. Ride safe
