I was going to make a joke about how it was ok if you wanted to do it the wrong way, but as I continued to watch, I realized that I needed to learn this!😲 Thanks for blowing my mind 🤯🤯🤯
I'm a 3rd generation strap piling, rats nest wrestling, tangled mess cussin' man.. it's not an easy life but it's my heritage so I bear the burden with pride
Nice and what timing, yesterday I just cleaned over 20 straps and was debating myself how I was going roll them up and keep everything together. Thanks.
I do mine almost the same way except I leave the handle open. I find I don't have to roll it over as much. I'm not nearly as handsome though. Also I think I hear a baby crying in the background ????
I use zip ties instead of the hook, I don't use mine as much as you do but the tote is a better idea than a Dollar General bag. How do you store bungie cords?
I have so many bungie cords, (because I don't like to run out of things, especially when they are on sale) that I keep them in zip-loc bags...by size. It may be the "girl way" to do it, but it saves me time! I am a girl, so it don't bother me none! 😁
We haul round bales on the goose neck when we’re haying or moving hay . I roll my straps up in circle stack them in our plastic milk crates ( 10 or so ) then close the ratchet and put them in another milk crate. When we’re done haying. You just pick up the crate and take it to the barn
We haul hay on a customized rig. Big loads. I do my status same as you but have a metal box on the front of the trailer for stacking straps and ratchets. I keep chain extensions in a separate box as they tend to fall out of the upright box. Hay season is upon us. Got the first call just yesterday. Hope it's a good year!
Your'n Grand-baby's gonna talk about how brilliant theiry're Pa'Paw is/was one day ..... Love through Discipline and Instruction.... ❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏💯💯💯💯💯💯
I hear an death metal singer in the background trying to start a song. So apparently this guy was the lead guitar and just ran from the band to do a strap winding video. 🤷 Thats how important this video is to him..
I was once an ugly man. Whipped out my unruly, unorganized ratchet straps and called my wife outside. I then proceeded to wrap them just as demonstrated and my wife's jaw dropped in amazement. That day, I became a handsome man. Also with nicely wrapped and organized ratchet straps... all thanks to you. Forever be blessed, thank you deeply. - From a once ugly man
This flatbed trucker pro aproves this message. This is the correct way, also , spray lube your mechanism for craps sake, they work so much better that way!
I definitely appreciate the very nice and neat rollup! We have ratchet straps where I work and it’s definitely a trip hazard if they are left on the floor- unwrapped and not placed in bin. I’ll have to take this tip for delivery stations 😄😄🙌🏽
Thank you Sir, I learned something new today, I would always put mine in a box or bag and what not, but now I know how to store them properly, thank you 🙏🏽
I the 27 ft long 2 inch wide stairs and ratchets almost daily during summer. I will the strap with the hook in the center. Not with ratchet attached. When I am ready to use I hold the trail and pull a few feet out and haul off and Ross the rolled up part over what I am strapping. Then thread the ratchet. Sometimes the strap is not long enough so we have devised aan apparatus from chains and hooks and a piece of steel with a hole in it for one on the strap hook. When ready to end the load, I roll them up and they are ready for the next time.
You don't leave them in a pile. It'll take you an hour to take them all apart. Why they get rolled up. That's how I do it same way. Takes less then half the time to roll them up then untangling them when needed.
That mustache is 100% pure American greatness and I hope to have one so cool some day
That’s a great idea. I have always rolled the steam separate from the ratchet. But for the smaller straps I love that idea. Thanks for sharing.
If you have them separate and roll the tag end of the strap up first you can throw it over your load. This is definitely faster though
I do my straps exactly the same way 👌
Ditto. I'll throw some electrical tape on big straps to hold em for me though
I was going to make a joke about how it was ok if you wanted to do it the wrong way, but as I continued to watch, I realized that I needed to learn this!😲 Thanks for blowing my mind 🤯🤯🤯
The Goat was giving instructions.
I'm a 3rd generation strap piling, rats nest wrestling, tangled mess cussin' man.. it's not an easy life but it's my heritage so I bear the burden with pride
I've been doing this for 20 years. I've got a metal .50cal ammo box I keep mine in. Down here in Kingsbury TX.
Awesome
Thank you 🙏🏾
Most people don't know how to run the strap thru the rachet, if it's not done right it's heck to get it untangled
protect this man at all costs.
I use mine so often it's just easier to leave em loose in the bed😂 at least 3 or 4 times a work day
Ya, the two I typically always use I just toss in the bed of my truck. I have extras that I store this way though.
We use the large 4 inch strap
Yep... that's how you do it
Great idea Cody! My man! I am going to re-roll mine
Exactly how I do mine.
So the MORE HANDSOME AND HOT SHE SAYS YOU ARE ... MEANS ... SHE IS GOING TO USE YOUR CREDEEET CARD . 😅😅😅😅😢
I do mine the same, never tried the hook method, I always keep some electrical tape in my ratchet strap bag and tape them
Nice and what timing, yesterday I just cleaned over 20 straps and was debating myself how I was going roll them up and keep everything together. Thanks.
That is exactly how I fold my straps.
This is how I'm doing it from here on.
Nice I have to give this a try thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Alright!! Cool!!!!
Howdy folks like your strap strategy.
I can't wait to show my husband this tonight!😅
I do mine almost the same way except I leave the handle open. I find I don't have to roll it over as much. I'm not nearly as handsome though. Also I think I hear a baby crying in the background ????
Happy Monday vibes from “THE CITY OF SECOND CHANCES” aka Las Vegas 😂😂😂😂
Good idea
Brilliant
Nice man 👍
I love it!!! I do it exactly the same!!
Just throw them in da truck f that 😂😂
I do something very similar
That’s how I roll mine up.

Dollar General bag?!!
(I resemble that remark!) 🤣

Harbor Freight ammo box works good also .
I store mine like one on the floor😊
Cody the pro would know.
Great idea 💡
Lol running out ideas
I do the same darn thing

Great tip. Thanks
Is that a baby or a sheep in the background 😅
@@Bar7Ranch 💕
I never turned the thing sideways. I will now. What a blessing. ❤

Keep Rachin..
Much better than the piles mine are in right now.

- From a once ugly man
When you use your straps 2-3 times a day, a decent stack of strap works perfectly every time. It's not even a "pile" it's a meticulous mess
Ammo cans work great for storage in the pickup and with the carry handle and latch it’s even better just a thought I figured I’d share

That be a frozen block in Canada and Finland. We pull'm out fold them up individually.
Look at that mustache! Killer man.
Side question how the hell do you operate with your phone in your shirt pocket?
Same!

Thank you! I’ve heard so many ways over the years I feel like this might not come undone in my truck
Thank you sir! I can always use some good information. Keep on🫡
Today, I found out all you have to do is turn the hook sideways. Wow, thanks for the tips.
I role mine the same way, but I stick them in an old sock to keep them from tangling.
I'm rarely impressed by TH-cam shorts. Color me impressed
God bless Cody. Y'all keep ranchin'! 🎉🎉🎉
I keep mine in a zip lock bag. Put the hook and the ratchet in first, then the strap goes on top.
Great tip Cody. I roll mine but not how you do with hook. I'm gonna do it that way now!!
I always cut inertubes like rubber bands to wrap around them.
I kinda do mine like that, just a little different. But same concept.
Someone is constipated in the background....
The one left in the pile is what mine looks like after someone borrows mine😂😂😂
Amazing!!! Just finished wrapping mine.
Has anyone told you that you bear a resemblence to Lou from Rescue Me?
Go to rhino usa and get the retractable straps then you don't have to roll them up
It’s the screaming goat in the back for me😂😂😂
Wow, this is the easiest one yet. I had to try it while watching! Thanks!
Can't wait to blow my coworkers minds on Monday 😂
Keep it organized. Y'all keep ranching.
Always keeping straps in a tote and organized is a must
🥱🥱💤💤
I love how a woman loves her chubby bear best friend
I like the idea of turning the hook .
Never thought of that
I’ve used a milk crate for a while in the truck
What is screaming in the background?
Madness not to to keep the strap separate from the ratchet.
Cody may seem cocky, but he is humble respect
Take care of your tools and they may last a lifetime
bet you would be good at making a bed😂😂😂😂
I store mine when I throw it in the back or the truck
Ain't no real shop without torch tanks.
All thrown into a home depot bucket lol.
I like the locking "s" thingy.
THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I ROLL MY RATCHET STRAPS
Dear lord you need to let your kid out of the barn!
Great idea. Thanks for sharing. Can I share the gospel of Jesus Christ with you?
@@Bar7Ranch that’s great
Awesome video Hi from Northern Ab
Love the hat
So he does it the RIGHT way. Good!
Lmao I’m the leave it in a pile type 😂.
never knew he was into BDSM.
This is the best way! Thank you!
