The reason the 90 gallon gets dirty is because you have too many fish and not enough filter. Take the canister filter from the 160, put it on the 90 and get or make a sump filter for the 160
Actually, scientifically proven that fish survive in dirty water because it’s more like home. I had a fish and with no filter and she survived 2 years! No lie! And the other one I had a filter and she died 2 weeks later😕

@@itsjustariana5053 Where's your evidence? I've been keeping Fish for 5 years and never had a problem with keeping filtered Aquariums. If you knew anything about Fish Keeping you'd know that Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates build up in a aquarium which is why we cycle an aquarium and do water changes. In large bodies of water like lakes and rivers they are frequently replenisned by rain.

Yes. Yes it is. That tank is horrendously overstocked

No its overstocked its an issue not only with the happiness of them but also the health and cleanliness of the tank. The Ammonia and poop would build up even if you did daily water changes (which still isnt okay) it would get grimey and unhealthy for the fish

Also it doesnt matter if there all together they will all explore together and there are glofish “sharks” which naturally hide so yeah some are touching the bottom. And the “glofish sharks” arent schooling fish so they will seperate and swjm away from eachother and explore on there own
Yes and no. We don't know all about the size they are and the size they will be. Really he should just chance it and if there's a problem either get a bigger tank or put them a new tank.

PAUL, a tank doesn't cycle in one week. Thats also way to many fish for a ten gallon tank, and for the bioload.

It would be ok if he used water from another aquarium and some other stuff to give it a jumpstart. And not adding ten fish at once.

@@chrisb778 water from other aquariums do absolutely nothing. You need cycled biomedia and even then, with that many fish at once the tank is really not balanced.

Doesn't cycling a tank take up to 4 weeks? Also arnt you only suppose to put 1 to 2 fish in the tank at one time then wait a week to put more in? Also isn't that way to many fish for that 10 gallon? Im not hating im just wondering
If you wait a week between adding the fish, bacteria will die off and you will only be cycled for the 1-2 fish you added. Cycle so that your aquarium can handle around 4-5 PPM ammonia and you should be good for adding you entire stock in 4-5 days. Id add a group of fish with 1-2 days in between. In that time you need to watch your ammonia and nitrite levels, so they dont spike.
Its best to have the tank run before adding and then add your group of fish but you have to be testing the water and doing regular water changes to prevent ammonia spike. This tank is way too over stocked as well. It is a 10g tank and the general rule is 1in of fish per gallon of water and these fish will grow! Especially those sharks.
I like to start it with water and media from another tank
Max West thats the best way in my opinion and how I do it. and a bacterial supplement like Stress Zyme. I use sponges to do it. I have plants in all 3 of my tanks and that is a big help getting a cycle going too!
@@balriel7229 so i took a tank in for a friend, she had not cycled it so all the fish were dying, i started doing water changes and adding supplements to the water and the last two fish made it. It's been about a month and im ready to add a few more, so i should add like 3 or 4? Instead of 2?

I have had the same Glofish for more than 7 years and I love my tank. I’ve added more fish to the tank and they thrive. They make biggger goo tanks, just so u know

That’s awesome!!! One sad thing I learned about Glofish is that they are made die. I have a local fish store near me and the owner know the scientist who made Glofish and they made for kids who will be sad when the die so their parents buy more. It’s a sad truth but it’s a needed warning.
Evan Sherwood yea, it’s terrible, I don’t support this tank but watch his videos. Also the way they make them is by injecting their eggs with jellyfish DNA
Nacho Macho321 yeah it’s pretty bad but you have it kind off wrong. They injected the first line of fish with a dna gene from coral and jellyfish etc. It’s an inherited gene but they also injected the “parents” with some chemical to make the normally hardy tetras and danios not as hardy.

Not really, if you do your research and don't iverstock your tank (which is usually the case cuz they only sell 5 and 10 gallons for this type of tank) they should last as long as normal tetras do. And this tank is overstocked and not cycled properly, so they're not going to live long

because you dont normaly read prices when it comes to tetras there know to be 2 - 5 dollars

If u fill it up too high and that water level is above the filter, ur fish can end up getting caught in that water filter
@@erica4699 there is still going to be space if you fill it to the black. Paul even said he was going to do that. There's still going to be space for air.

Acclimate doesn’t just mean same temperature but you have to slowly add in tank water into the bag ever 5 min or so, so the fish get accustomed to the new water.

No put the bag in your tank for 15 mins to an hour so they adjust to the water temperature

@@deadaccount5893 well, bettas dont grow very much at all, so that's different. rainbow sharks on the other hand....are another species of fish who grow up to 6 inches.

It depends on what you have to do with the tank. If the tank hasn't cycled yet (getting the ammonia and nitrate levels down) then it's recommended that you only get a few fish at a time but if the water is fully cycled and ready to go, it's okay to get more than that.

That is way too much fish for a 10 gallon aquarium!!! I have a 10 gallon tank and I only have four tetras (there all babies), two zebra dianos ,and a aquatic frog - a African dwarf frog.

I only have 4 guppies and an albino sucker fish in my 10 gallon
I’m in the process of setting up my 20 gallon aquarium. I still need to cycle it. But I plan to get 6 neon tetras, 5 glowlight tetras, and 3 Black phantom tetras in a month once it’s ready for fish.

At least lol, it’s always taken me at least 6 weeks
you can speed up the process by adding beneficial bacteria
