And the video claims as if these two different seas are mixing, ofc they aren't mixing, if they mixed, their colors would exchange, but look at that, even colors remained distinct.
That's the Mercy of God to the fish and people, if they mixed, fish might have not survived, and it could cause lots of dead fish floating which eventually could cause them drying and maybe deseases spreading, or in the shores fish filling and flies might have filled the stinking fish, and much smell could spread, and fishermen wouldn't have survived, and the multitude of flies could have overpopulated the living places of people, and could have caused more troubles, and the water would be polluted and salty, undrinkable and how'd many people survive?

Nothing wrong with that scientific explanation as long as you believe that all the causes and effects are God creation. The fact is that, this is still miracle because the Quran tells us about this phenomenon since long long time ago for us to think and research. Problem with most of us as a Muslim are we are often to think laterally and don't really do the thinking.... Many verses in the Quran "afala tata zakkarun" and "afala ta'qilun" but sadly we don't do it but only read & memorise these verses instead.

@@ceeotter It does mix, yeah, but very slightly, so its irrelevant, and so what? It is still divided into 2 different oceans or parts. One salt, one freshwater that you can drink. Thats the whole point of it. If they were to truly "mix" and pass each other you wouldnt be drinking freshwater anymore, it would be salty, but it doesnt, theres a barrier. No need to get all sciencey too, like (oh but they have different properties and densities), which may be true but thats not what the quran says. You don't open the quran and learn science from it. It says what it says, simple as that. But you do you man, you wanna say it mixes even though you see a clear distinguishable difference between the two, go ahead lmao.

And also, if it is fresh and salt water mixing, which our prophet SAW could have known of, no one knew that they actually mixed like the comment above you says and it looks like there is only a barrier, this is a phenomena called estuarin circulation I think.

This was very beneficial, thank you for the video. I am a muslim my self and I’d like to point out that the verse isn’t trying to claim that this is a miracle, but rather, it is an indication that god(who is omniscient ) is truly the one who revealed this verse and the quran as well, because nobody in the arabic peninsula (at least) knew about this, yet someone from the peninsula spoke of such a thing(such a thing was completely unheard of), implying that the source of revelation is indeed an omniscient being and that it’s the truth and a sign of the prophet’s sincerity in his message. Note that this is not the only occasion where the quran speaks of such things. Simply wanted to clarify, thanks for reading, and thanks for not handling the topic mockingly as many others do that. Peace.
Edit: I originally answered the question to clear the misconception about muslims claiming that the phenomenon is a miracle it self, which is untrue, because the quran points out to various phenomena as things to ponder about and study, not as miracles that are inexplicable, such as rain, childbirth, etc. But while trying to point that out, I potentially made a mistake. The arabs MAY have known about this phenomenon and the mention of this phenomenon isn't part of the miracle necessarily (My own mistake for crediting the miracle to that part, my apologies...). However, the miracle lies in a different part of the verse that states : "and He has set a barrier and an insurmountable, forbidding ban that keeps them apart.". "insurmountable ban" by whom? It isn't referring to people because they obviously can surmount the barrier, but it's referring to the creatures living there. The creatures that live in either side can't surmount this ban, except briefly. people know that there are sea creatures that live in sweet water only, and sea creatures that live in salty water only, and sea creatures that live slightly salty water only. Though what people didn't know is: If the two bodies of water meet, why wouldn't creatures be able to surmount this barrier? and how do these creatures know the difference? This is indeed a thing people didn't know back then which the quran pointed out.

To everyone arguing in the comments. The answer isn't whether the two oceans mix or not. But it's the fact that this verse was revealed in the Quraan 1400 years ago. Whereas the oceans were discovered by humans in the year 1513. Think about it.

I would say the creatures are probably freaking out because of their lack of proper environment, imagine all of a sudden our atmosphere changed, the fresh water creatures probably relocated some distance away because the salt levels would be too high anyway naturally. It’s not like they could even be in close enough proximity for any of that to be possible. Well, that’s my boring two cents.
