Technically true. In a perfect setup the safety cable would be attached under the car to the car frame. However, that's not practical. The bolts are hardened bolts and are not likely to be the weak link in a catastrophic failure. Thanks for your reply.

What parts? That towbar came from Harbor Freight. The parts that bolt to a bumper (that I didn't use) I might still have someplace.
