When you upload that kind of videos I always pause before you reveal the fix, and think what I would do to fix the space. And I'm usualy right because I've watched so much of your content.
oh same! its so entertaining, and i feel so rewarded when i get it right, like ‘YESS LETSGOOOO’ because i feel like I’m actually learning, its so fun! :D
OMG You are amazing! You're what TH-cam needs. I'm so excited I found you because this is what I was looking for without being able to find the exact words to search for. It's like TH-cam knew 😭 and NOW I'm about to watch as many as I can for now
In one of the videos you mentioned that the number of seats in the living room should match the number of seats on the dinning table. That this rule still hold true with the additional stools you added or are they seen as temporary seating?
So i'm might be moving into a home with a similar lay out but the entry way is on the [using this video image as reference] on the left hand side with a small mud room like area and the right side has a fire place. otherwise the dining room placement is about the same minus the walls being soild and leading into the kitchen
Hell yeah, that's basically how my livingroom is already set up. I've got it up on a storage cube and its flanked by two bookcases for more storage. And instead of armchairs, I've got one storage ottoman.
Does this still apply the exact same way if there are two sliding doors with curtains behind the two chairs? So instead of a wall, sliding doors for a patio
That's the layout for my uncles house like no joke 😂. Anyways, he just didn't add the two chairs on the side but added a small rug in front of the patio door to leave an inviting touch to it
I have a small living /dining room like this, the thing that is making me frustrated is that where you place the two arm chairs is a very large window, which is where most of the light comes from. You had placed the cough on the right side, but I can only fit a small couch due to a floor heat vent thats in the middle of the room, I cant put it on the left wall because it would block the doorway that's in line with the door, and I cant figure out how to have seating for 4 people.
But what if they want to watch TV from the dining table? (Or in my house, from the kitchen while preparing food, which is located on the other side of the dining room.)
This is my living room/dining area but on the left side is a window and the fireplace and on the right side is a hallway. I only have the back wall (where the TV is). What do?
All I know about FengShui is your videos, that said, my brain is saying why didn't you add a rug to define somewhere. Yes I know you said you are only moving furniture, but you upgraded the coffee table, so I'd like to know if my brain caught a missing rug or is just messing with me, please! 😊
Help me please I’ve watched so many of your videos and I live in a small studio with a fold out bed that I can’t move, and the kitchen is completely connected to my living space/sleeping area. Please it’s been impossible to make this place feel like home!!
But what do I do if my front door wall also has a window. My couch faces the door but the TV blocks the window 😅 or I put my couch on the front door wall with my back to the door, or I put my couch in the middle blocking the living room. Help me 😢😂
I want to show you my californian living room full of Doors and Windows and L shape. I don't know how to acomodqte the ferniture.. I'm a mess. So depressing. Anyways, how I send you the video ?? How.. !
I predicted the moving of the couch. I am now a Feng Shui disciple.

So...now you KNEW!!
Love the 3d look as if you are about to walk in, more vids with that angle please 😊
you are so smart! I’ve been trying to find the perfect arrangement for my entryway for 8 years now…your tips are fantastic!
Have you done a video on open floor plans with dining and living rooms sharing a space? I’m struggling so much with my layout 🥲
He has done many videos of one room sharing spaces, take a look thro his vids, theyr very useful
I don't understand. Isn't this already an open floor plan with living and dining sharing the room? Or did you mean a living-/dining in one?
isn't this short is for open floor plans?

You missed out on the “only moving things around” part, you just added new furniture
''and to make the room feel wider'' - ''and'' as in optional-
hes just tryna help, its an extra tip.
The new furniture was just optional tho
Lol same. I thought we were limited to the only furnitures shown.
@@BreadBananasince when does and mean optional 😭 what. "I'll have soup *and* a salad" does not mean you can leave off the salad.
Thank you again for sharing such interesting information!!
No no no, moving things AND add couple new furniture
« Couple » needs to be at least 2. There was only one table and even then « and to make the room feel wider » « and » as in optional.
@@BreadBananai dont even remember i commented this but thank you
@@pogman9030 didn’t even know the video was from that long ago
@@BreadBananaplus the two new stools, also the mini side table for the couch
Clearly placed it like this so they can see the TV from the dinning table.
Wow 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
I wish you could help me with my living room kitchen entrance... I love how you fix the whole environment 😊
It's so funny, because every 'designer' wants us to float our furniture, but he always seems to put the sofa on a wall, and I love it!
Wow, that's cool
Instead of using stools to close off the space, lay down an area rug. Adding stools will just clutter up the room with too much furniture.
Brilliant! 👏
This end result is our living room.
Should you add seats to the dining table to accommodate the new seating in the living area?
Domone that makes a living room more cozy without buying anything pls

Man I'm really gonna be using your tips for my Sims 4 builds 😂
Some may think Feng Shui is just some strange, offbeat, mystical thing! It's really quite practical and makes a lot of sense!
I love this channel
You give great tips sir!
yay I'm first
Thank you!!!
you are seriously a magician@@DearModern
The video of the colors and styles of the objects was very informative. I can put things in good places, but the style seems to clash.
😮

❤❤❤
❤ more welcoming friends and less TV for better mental health ❤
But if you need to fit a desk to work from home?
Lol that was my lounge but there were some tables and lamps as well for atmosphere.
Also the TV can be turned if you want to eat and watch

Who would do the 1st plan to start? Seems pretty obvious everyone would do the 2nd choise

Would you do anything differently if there was no TV? 🤔
Q: What is the best way to set up a laundry room or utility room?
But what if they want to watch TV from the dining table? (Or in my house, from the kitchen while preparing food, which is located on the other side of the dining room.)
Just for the fun of it, I like to take @DearModern 's furniture layouts and build a house around them. ^_^
My living room is shaped like this except my kitchen takes up the whole left wall and its difficult to figure out how to make it work
This is my living room/dining area but on the left side is a window and the fireplace and on the right side is a hallway. I only have the back wall (where the TV is). What do?
But now your dining room has 4 chairs and your living room has 6. Do you have unwanted guests?
It’s not like they had the tv placed there so it can be seen while at the table. But great job 👏
What if the entry door was on the longer side will it make any difference in the way that you'll arrange the room?
What if I have a fireplace and the tv? Plus my sofa is to big but super comfy.
I have this same room arrangement and suggested this layout and wasn't allowed 😔
I would like to have my sofa facing the entry but that's where a window is at.
I have windows on both side walls so I can move my TV to the side walls. Do you have any other fixes that don’t include moving the TV?
All I know about FengShui is your videos, that said, my brain is saying why didn't you add a rug to define somewhere.
Yes I know you said you are only moving furniture, but you upgraded the coffee table, so I'd like to know if my brain caught a missing rug or is just messing with me, please! 😊
How can you just block windows like that tho?
What if there is another door way where the first armchair is?
Help me please I’ve watched so many of your videos and I live in a small studio with a fold out bed that I can’t move, and the kitchen is completely connected to my living space/sleeping area. Please it’s been impossible to make this place feel like home!!
Look at his recent videos. He’s covered a lot of studio apartments.
But what do I do if my front door wall also has a window. My couch faces the door but the TV blocks the window 😅 or I put my couch on the front door wall with my back to the door, or I put my couch in the middle blocking the living room. Help me 😢😂
Is an empty, formal living area of a combined living/dining, bad Feng Shui because I'm too scared to furnish it after watching these videos😅
I want to show you my californian living room full of Doors and Windows and L shape. I don't know how to acomodqte the ferniture.. I'm a mess. So depressing. Anyways, how I send you the video ?? How.. !
It does look to me like half, or at least one of the people dining will still be distracted by the TV...
Now only one side of the table can see the TV?
But now you cant watch the tv while eating :(
wow. i suppose so
U also added stuff
I thought it was bad to have the couch in line with the door?
OK so let me get this straight, you want me to put two side tables in the middle of the room next to a coffee table by themselves😅😅😅
But the amount of chairs in the living room and dining room are not the same anymore
But not you cant watch tv while having dinner. now you must eat dinner at the sofa.
well, I guessed the arrangement right, must be learning from you 🤣
Nobody is going to sit on those small uncomfortable stools. Try a low upholstered bench. 😅
My hoe,use has ofset angles that make the rooms sorry of diamond shaped ,really hard to properly put furniture on .
way too fast
NO ONE wants to sit on a backless stool.
Never assume.
What do you do with the "dead space" on the left hand side of room before you get to the TV?
