  • Input: pink crank rotating continuously.
    Output: blue gear shaft.
    The input rotation is converted to angular reciprocating motion of the yellow sprocket thanks to a chain drive. The black line represents the chain.
    The output gear shaft rotates interruptedly in one direction thanks to an overrunning clutch. Here a ratchet mechanism of green pawl is used.

    I'm really impressed with your creations. They're helpful to inspire some ideas when it comes to mechanical design. I wonder What your motivation is that you can consistently make thousands of animations?

    Mr thang, can you advise, what transmission is most effective for a hill climb four wheel bike?

      All videos in this channel are made in Autodesk Inventor, Dynamic Simulation.

      @@thang010146 How does the spring extend in Inventor? I am Fusion 360 user, and no such thing is available in the animation workbench. Its only rigid body simulations, no flexible body stuff.

    Sir can you give animation about roller on tobacco cutting machine.
    From 1 pulley to Rachet gear

    Don’t get why 1:10~1:15 the clutch tooth went away and on 1:15 it suddenly clutch together, is that on purpose or an animation failure… anyway nice video!

      It's a ratchet, or one-way drive. The paw is spring loaded to engage the drive hub. When the motor pulls the drive ccw, it drives the roller, when the spring pulls pulls back, it spins the drive cw and causing the drive hub to ratchet.

      @minercraftal 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thegenrl well I meant, is it supposed to bite together from 1:10? It’s kind of semi bite on 1:10 until 1:15 before it start to bite together…

      @@minercraftal ah I see what you mean. I think the tooth is not fully engaged, meaning the friction on the face of the tooth is more than the spring in the drive hub can provide. However at 1:15, because of the force applied by the drive arm follows sine function, the force on the tooth lessens, allowing the spring to overcome the friction and fully engage. In practice they would probably have to beef up that spring...

    Sir i think in this video the machine use spur gear in up and down.
    Can spur gear use like ratchet wheel and pawl mechanism?
    Thank you
