I had the pleasure and the honor to be one of Dean's students at Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. I learned a lot and I do mean a lot from him. He pushed me to discover different elements in my playing, and encouraged me to play like me ....and not to listen to anyone else. Dean thanks for everything, one of the best right here!!
Gotta love Dean! Harvey Mason on drums, Gary King on bass, and a very young Kirk Whalum on sax. I believe the last tune is called "Zebra Man" from Bob's "Foxie" album written by Marcus Miller.
Dean Brown has the greatest facial expressions in the world, there is no better guitarist that could do similar. I also cracked down, when at 0:54 he looks like he cussing with f*** words :)
Cocaine not. Dean is a gifted man who through much personal effort learned to play guitar with the best of them. He plays with abandon and passion yet always makes perfect musical sense. Dean is a guitar God. Get over yourself.

Rest in peace, my friend. You’ve touched so many lives, including mine. Your melodies and rhythms echo through the eternity.

Dean Brown is just different to any other guitarist. Always surprising, always inspiring and never the same. One of my heroes.
+funklover24 ,, nice comment,, I think Dean is related to Joe Cocker, Always more fun to be on stage than the audience?
Man, DB is an ORIGINAL. He plays unlike anyone else and is fresh. He genuinely feels the music.
Will Be sorely missed!
Dean is one of my favourites, thanks!
Saw Dean w/Billy Cobham's SPECTRUM in 2003, and he played with deadly precision, fantastic tone. You can see why Steely Dan hired this cat!
This boy can play!!!!!!
Fantastic, Dean!
One of the greatest musicians I`ve ever heard.
Killer band! You couldn't ask for a better band. That would be my dream line-up if I were putting together a band for a tour.
It's great to see someone so totally engrossed in the music. Cheers Dean!!

I'm convinced that there is a lot of 'channelling' in Dean's playing.

El Sábado que viene en el NEW MORNING, increíble guitarrista....
Dean works for the ministry of sily dances...
WOW he plays outside very well
Good dancer...
He is like in a trance. Sometimes he looks scary like the boogey man or rather boogie man, but what a player!

I think it's a Roland Guitar Synthesiser. If you look closely you can see the slim midi pickup behind just in front of the bridge.
@naikanomtom yeah
my name is dean brown!
Steve Nash is good at guitar!
I´ve seen him last week. Not as scary anymore. But still needs lot of space on stage ;-)
Liked his old sound more ;-)

wow. esp 6:30 onwards.
I think that is kind of Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette guitar
Agggghhhhhhhhh! He looks so scary! Wait...no...he's just really weird! Do not want!
@strawer i never knew that a guitar synth was good for anything but just that. but NOBODY is brave enough to wield a 707 on stage lol
great technique, maybe too much..
ok guys is very good , but the master remains Mike Stern, ok?
You're crazy !!
Why you cut the music like that !!
:-(
