Yes! Fear of the unknown is a big play here. Even though we the audience see the monster, our protagonist doesn't. And the most realistic reaction is likely looking at it. It's not like you could just act along with the ominous TV message literally 30 seconds before the monster enters in. That's obviously super unrealistic. We're all human after all. We get curious.

How the heck could we win this game? I mean, the monster just keep look at the man so closed, it really wouldn't kill him if he just act like it isn't there? If it's true, I would pretend that I didn't see it, so I'll get up, turn the television off, go to the coach and sleep, so I will have a lullaby to closed my eyes. The only bad thing I can say is if you had not shown the monster and kept it in a 1st person view the entire time, it would have been a better end. Leave the design of whatever horror did all this too the imagination because the mind can come up with something much more scary without seeing the monster.
idk about that, if I don't know what it looks like its pretty hard to be scared of it for me. mainly because my mind isn't the greatest at making up designs and so it can't really imagine anything.
I will agree that you should hide the monster until the very end but not showing it at all doesn’t work on everyone and will end up wondering why they should be scared most times. My favorite horror movie is the Blair witch but a ton of people hate it as well.

The Half-Life 2 models are perfect for this. There is just something about their faces that makes you empathize with them significantly more than models from other video games.

@@bucketbutters866 Agreed! I'd like to point out the tv in this scene. The door being broken down from what he can only assume to be the monster, a small bit of light with nothing that would be able to distract your mind with, and the breathing of the monster. that would be hard to ignore. which is why I like that he got caught in the end. it's realistic. he just saw the ominous message from the tv which not even 10 seconds later "it" would come in. and when the door was banging he had so little time to find a place to hide before he even knew what to do.

I recently watched the one with Jeremy and the time loop, and it was really good. This one should be too!
This the second video of yours ive watched and i cant get over the smoothness of the animation
the attention to detail about the fact that the main character didn't survive to tell the story is amazing
even if it is accidental it's amazing
2:44 fourth wall break lol. @tchad said “I’m honestly surprised you’re still reading this lol”
Little treat to the viewers who took the time to pause the video at the perfect time before it cuts.
there were so many mistakes this guy made
1. didnt cover his windows, to add insult to injury he kept looking out of them
2. didnt barricade his door
3. didnt find a hiding place (hell, hiding under the bed wouldve been better than just standing there)
4. shouldve actually pretended that the monster didnt exist (thanks sebastian peep)
theres probably more, just reply and i might add them
Trying to pretend that there isn't a random floating red skull next to you would be extremely difficult to do
@@bucketbutters866 Agreed! I'd like to point out the tv in this scene. It's a small detail but I love it. he hears the monster roaming in. it is extremely dark. the only light is the thing he is focusing on. the tv. which has nothing on it. just a small bit of light. but he cant concentrate because of the atmosphere. The door being broken down from what he can only assume to be the monster, a small bit of light with nothing that would be able to distract your mind with, and the breathing of the monster. that would be hard to ignore. which is why I like that he got caught in the end. it's realistic. he just saw the ominous message from the tv which not even 10 seconds later "it" would come in. and when the door was banging he had so little time to find a place to hide before he even knew what to do.
he did pretend the monster wasnt there, he just screwed up and lost himself for a second, i know from experience that if you try to look at something without turning your head, you might eventually just lose yourself for a sec and start looking towards it dead on, which is probably what happened there
you could've also instead of finding a hiding spot, just have closed your eyes atleast and pretend your sleeping to atleast stay alive for a little longer than most
@@NoobGaming-op3ob good idea
the was the longest 9 and a half minutes of my life.
*thank you.*
I feel so bad for this guy, he feels like someone I could chill with
Dude! How do you only have 21k subs?! This is awesome! Keep up the good work, and this was an amazing SFM. I love the EAS Scenarios, they're so creepy, but so exciting too. Good job! Edit: wow 27k!! good job bro!
Truly a "Curiosity killed the cat" moment of all time.
I love these, please never stop making these.
I didn’t know it was possible to make such fluid subtle shaking and eye twitching movements in source
Holy crap this one was well put together! These animatio ns and sounds are so realistic and immersive! Bravo man
I don’t care about anything else in this video, this is the best thing that can happen to a man 0:30
Getting it in 1st try is an accomplishment, CHANGE MY MIND
Im joking the entire vid is amazing(and fucking terrifying) great job
your videos are the most traumatizing thing iv'e ever seen. literally scarier than any horror move
NICE I love these SFM horror stories I wish people made more of these.
3rd video in a row. I've found another gem in the rough. Keep it up bro this is is class ^^
SHORT HORSE 8:58 i don't really get scared by horror movies because i know that the main character has plot armour but this was different
Imagine sleeping through the scenario :p Still good though! Wish there were more animated EAS scenarios like this!
"SFM Creepy". I agree. that program scares me
Great video! but i noticed you can see the shirt clipping in the fridge at 3:13 other than that this video was really good. Keep up the work bro
Lol yeah you're right. Thanks!!
This was very well made, congratulations!
This has some weird Mandela Catalogue and Local 58 vibes to it, with weird extraordinary stuff, and alert to a whole continental state, man, can we get some sort of origin to this "invasion".
i just found your channel, amazing how you create tension, keep up the good work
Poor dude I actually kinda feel bad for him.
He definitely didn't deserve the brutal fate he received.
That was terrible
The quality of these keeps improving! Keep it up dude!
"Pretend it isn't there'
Aight hold on, lemme load up boneworks real quick
this stuff is actually half horrifying, I love it. keep up the good work
ayo huge thanks to the camera man for filming this
Just happened to stumble into these videos. Can’t stop watching. Excellent work . 5 ⭐️’s.
I love this, my one and only critique is showing the monster at the end, I feel that if the monster itself was never shown then it would have been more scary wondering what the monster is rather than knowing what it is. Aside from that one thing, great work, I love the life like actions that the main character does and I feel sympathetic for him.
Surprised how entertaining it was. And I’m hard as hell to please.
Well done 👍
8:58 The monster gives me long horse Trevor Henderson vibes
Monster is not your friend
My ass would've been pretending to be sleeping under the covers as opposed to sitting up watching static.
8:57
My mom when i accidentally swear
why is it a goat skull but why is it color red?
Imagine if gordon was the monster. Anyways nice work dude, keep making videos like this.
9:11 top 10 saddest SFM deaths and of course a perfect cut scream
Convenient
Really good, I didnt even notice that this citizen model had seperate fingers because the movement was so natural
I love how you gave him life in a way, he has to move up to drink his soda, when he looks his whole body moves, a lot of gmod animators make the character seem robotic, but your character moves naturally.
My point is that this is really good
Thanks for the kind words! I considered trying a more simple animation style since this smooth one needs a looot of detail which I am not good enough yet to make
@@Surkee You have a lot of skill, I could definitely see you becoming popular
