I really appreciate this list, thank you very much Mike. Such a good idea for a video and great to see many games that I haven't heard of until now. Merry Christmas folks
To add to the list of how to get import games, some times the publisher's website will say like "email for international shipping" which makes it pretty easy.
Love your list, I have your #1 and #2 directly after the kickstarters were delivered to someone else (they placed them us for sale) ... Would recommend 1) Nukumi Onsen Kaitakuki and 2) Nukumi Onsen Hanjouki, english rules on BGG (a must) and purchased eBay or Japanese online stores
Grayson is able to track the money in Beverage really well, which kind of felt like he has an unfair advantage! I never know how much is in there! Hilarious that you picked Shinsoku Cinema! It didn't even have a BGG entry when i bought it. I had to add it! YOU'RE WELCOME! 😉 Snow Planner is pretty fun, I'm hiping they touch up the rule book and some of the transactions in the 2nd Edition. Atlas Lost is pretty great, but im horrible at it because i try to do everything, because everything is fun, but i think you really have to focus on one of the winning conditions if you want to be competitive!
I just came from Japan and bought board games. For 2024 releases, I love Bricolage Heads, Cat and the Tower, and Nukumi Onsen Kaitakuki 2E. I'm also trying to proxy the card game Revolve! from Kei Kajino of Scout fame, and would like to have the heavyweight party game Gibberers (JP:Esperaization) which just released there.
Every time you talk about Atlas Lost, I turn greener and greener with jealousy. I back very few games on Kickstarter these days. I had funded it right up until the end of the campaign and backed out last second. I thought that the theme and art were amazing, but I wasn't sold on the gameplay. But, it's the only game I've ever backed out of like that and went on to regret it.
Thank you for the recommendations! Out of curiosity, how would you rank Kelp? I really appreciated your review and recommendation of that title, and we LOVE that game. Thanks and merry Christmas!
All right, now all we need is Dice Tower Essentials to bring them all over here. :D
Great to see a list of such unique games!

I also saw where "Shinsoku" means "Swiftness", so it probably refers to how quickly these "films" are being thrown together.
Thanks for this list! My game group collects imports and I thought I was in the know but you shared some I hadn’t heard of!
Loved this list. Learning about interesting games from other countries was awesome
I loveee Magic Number Eleven. I'd highly recommend to check out UMATAKA from this year when you have time.
Looks like a clever game.

Same here! Picked up the same games plus Beverage … now to find the time to play!

In Mike’s heart, Reiner is slowly getting displaced by Totsuca…

@@joelhaslam1120I get the joke, but rest assured, Orapa Mine plays very differently than Battleship.
