I am not sure the Aroh and avaroh actually describe the raag, many of these raags need to be grasped by the key phrases ( this would probably apply to all raags)
Arohi avrohi is not the key point of the raag - the phrases are the key points, look at how any of the old ustads learned, Ustad Faiyaz Khan etc. Etc., they learned the main phrases of the Raags and built on from there as cited by Pt. Manikbuwa Thakurdas, KP Mukherjee, and Dr. BR Deodhar And for a raag like Ramsakh, how the different phrases interact with eachother is very important

Indeed. One starts with phrases and then uses them to make a chalan.
I fail to understand why are you not interested about aroha and aboroho. Which is the key point of a rag.
