my mom took me to see them YEARS ago when I was about 11 at a bar. She put me on the stage and I rocked out with these guys. After the show I got to meet them all. The guitarist gave me one of his picks and the drummer gave me one of his sticks that he used to play. Some of the nicest musicians I have ever had the pleasure meeting and very loving.
Absolutely! This song makes it seem like it will be a by-the-numbers album but it's surprisingly emotional and well-written. Definitely one of my favorites of the genre. I saw them in concert October 2002 right before I shipped to Marine Corps boot camp at the Orlando House of Blues and they killed it.
Why can't it be the 90's or early 2000's again back when music like this was good. Not saying bands today are bad because I'll admit I do like some of these newer bands but some of the other types of music today makes my ears wanna bleed xD
I remember I was 13 years old and I saw their video on m1. After that, I looked forward to this clip every evening. My friends were shocked. I love them so far
Through the eyes, M3, Superbuick, Motograter, and Hybrid theory will always be my favorite albums. Nu metal has that feel of either being, emotional, or the fuck you style and i love it
This band is the shit! I miss the years 99-02 SO MUCH. Nu metal was at its peak, n64 and ps2 were the shit, and technology wasn't dominating life like it is today. Those were the good old days. Seriously there is just so much bullshit out there today I cant believe it. I'd give anything to go back to these days.
Its funny how you say all those shits and here you are commenting on TH-cam, using either the latest WEB BROWSER, or SMART PHONE, having a youtube account. Go ahead and go back to your 90s. Why dont you use 90s computer on 56k too? HUH MISTER?
and it didn't help to see your favorite nu metal bands go full pop rock and fkn dumbstep (not flaw but a number of others) Those were the days, Steven won't get it
This album from Flaw probably saved my life, literally, a few times back in the day when it came out. It was nice being able to relate to lyrics of some of the pain I was going through at that time. The thing that set this album above was the seemingly genuine emotions in the lyrics by the singer.
This shit is peak nu metal. Intro bass line, Warwick bass, funny haired guitarist who jumps around and stares into space and wields 7 strings, blonde singer / screamer / rapper, simple; but heavy chugging riff. Only thing missing is the DJ. 🥰
I have to ask...why would ANYONE waste the time it takes to give this Amazing song a 👎? If you didn't like it, why bother? Go on to something else that fits your needs better. Why even bother? Does it really bother you that bad that someone might actually like this song? Just a thought..
My music taste has changed dramatically over the years. But "Through The Eyes" still happens to be one of my favorite albums, ever. This song gets me pumped like no other.
Was a HUGE Flaw fan back in the day....will never forget the guys letting me and my buddy on the tour bus in Syracuse for autographs and pictures just because I had a Flaw shirt on... incredible guys
23 years!!!! Cheers from Spain!!!!
Bro it’s fucking the end of 22. This and one step closer turned my life upside down as a teenager. Nothing but golden memories. And I am still fucking here. What the fuck. Am I the only one who enjoys this music till this day?
This was the song and video that introduced me to them way back when, holy shit 20 years now. And my young teenage brain was absolutely hooked instantly. I was a fiend for this album and listened to it so damn much I had to even buy another copy at one point. And it still holds up really well, nu metal fashion choices aside lol
Crazy to see how much Chris Volz has changed over the years, he keeps getting better and better. It's to bad his projects never got the recognition they deserved.
Can easily guess the year just by watching!! Love this song, this entire album! I can’t seem to move on from early 2000s, hell really don’t even want to!
man it feels bad to be this old and wanting to return to those times =/ ..... those wonderful times will never coming back. music has become so idk crap =(
This is a work of art. The music video tells a story and the band rocks my socks off! Current bands need to take note; BECAUSE THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO! Próst!
The one time I saw these guys in concert, it was a small bar, they were nice enough to give out autographs. After the show, they played pool with some fans, while the other bands were performing. It was awesome. I miss going to good concerts. lol
I am from Mexico and since I was 19 years old I realized that all the songs of flaw became part of my childhood, which was the best since my dad and my uncle always played it and I still listen to it
I use to work for a big band in wichita about 5 years ago and had a show with these guys. They were soo bad ass and all around great guys. We partied hard that night. What was great about it was the lead singer was at the bar with me telling me that I can write off my drinks at the bar on my taxes because I worked for the band! LOL Great band!
My friend.... my brother you took your life...we listened to flaw........5his is my memory...I hope you live on the afterlife until I can see you....gonna be a while...love and miss you
To me the nu metal sound (when written well like any other genre) brings out a lot of emotion and has lyrics that I can relate to the most I couldn't dislike it even if I tried. I wish Flaw had written more stuff like this. Chris Volz was such a badass frontman and had a voice that was untouchable you can really hear his attitude expressed when he sings. In my opinion they had so much potential to be up there with Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, Mudvayne, Disturbed etc...
I totally agree...nu metal had a great sound and i think its lame how everyone treats it...i think a lot of that though comes from bands like limp bizkit and more specifically fred durst who was always a bit whiney...i think KoRn, Disturbed, Flaw, System of a Down, Godsmack, and even bands like Hed P.E. and Sevendust are great examples of the best Nu Metal has to offer...its just too bad its over. guess we gotta wait another decade for it to come back into style
Their Guitarist is one chill dude. I got to meet him and have a really awesome conversation with him after a show a few years back, explained that I'd been a fan ever since I was 9 and how Flaw was one of the first bands I ever got into. (in fact this song, this video played a huge role in my music tastes today.)
I'm 41, had this song in several ipods I've owned over the years, definitely a gym destroyer song that I've been listening to since I was in my 20's in the military 👍
You can think what you want but NU-Metal helped to keep metal valid and relevant. To me Nu-Metal is heavier than any other metal genre it has such raw emotion and spiritual power. It will always be in my heart and one day will rise again like the Phoenix!🔥
I met these guys when I was a kid around the time they got famous. My brother would hang out with Jason Daunt and a bunch of other musicians and practice guitar and sh*t. I'm talking like 94-95. Then a few years later I was hanging around HayStak and Bukshot (local rappers). Good times!
Thanks for rocking out in Corpus 2018! Sound perfectly like your album. Truly couldn't have been nicer after the show and plz keep Georges Autobous!!!! 😄😄😄🥁
God Chris could provide so many powerful backing vocals for a frontman. He's like the ICS vortex of nu metal. He could be a star today with the right band
I can say that I know Chris and the gents very well. My band, CRB opened for them on many East Coast shows all over the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) Super good dudes. Don't believe everything you read.
my mom took me to see them YEARS ago when I was about 11 at a bar. She put me on the stage and I rocked out with these guys. After the show I got to meet them all. There’s 2 guitarists and 1 bassist so basically you’re lying
I can't get over how fucking monstrous the riff for this song is.
Ikr, its so damn meaty, love it
Doob I MF love it!!!
Its so simple but so fucking sick
The bassline in the beginning is sick!
His voice is monstrous, that shit is manly in those screams.
This album from front to back... outstanding!
Absolutely! This song makes it seem like it will be a by-the-numbers album but it's surprisingly emotional and well-written. Definitely one of my favorites of the genre. I saw them in concert October 2002 right before I shipped to Marine Corps boot camp at the Orlando House of Blues and they killed it.
not one bad song...I seen them n met Chris Volz twice in the last 2 years...awesome dude n amazing band one of if not my favorite
"MY LETTER" PRETTY MUCH CHANGED MY LIFE AS A KID
yeah! way back early 2000s!
Can't tell you guys how much depression and self loathing I've gotten thru thanks to the music of Korn and Flaw!
This song is timeless, the energy is raw and powerful, his voice, the riffs, the emotion, perfection.
Couldn't agree more!!!
Fact
Bad ass
Don't forget about the production, courtesy of Dave Bottril. It sounds so clean, yet so heavy at the same time.
I agree-very thankful these guys showed up
Who is nostalgic today and thinking about their awesome fucking childhood bro!? Wouldn't change it for nothing. This music was our escape. Period.
Yes indeed

Damn I miss so much these years (end of 90's, early 2000's) and this kind of groove and riffs. That was a golden era
Why can't it be the 90's or early 2000's again back when music like this was good. Not saying bands today are bad because I'll admit I do like some of these newer bands but some of the other types of music today makes my ears wanna bleed xD
absolutely
riff , groove .. meaning, guitar? check out band ' Go with Strangers ' ... but more like band Deftones ...
Flaw! Awesome band! Even in 2024! Got me through my divorce! I’ll never forget this band! Like a time traveler I feel!
I'm turning 50, and yes, BEEN A FAN FOR 20 YEARS!!
This band never got the recognition they deserved! Flaw rocks!

I remember I was 13 years old and I saw their video on m1. After that, I looked forward to this clip every evening. My friends were shocked. I love them so far
Through the Eyes was a flawless album. Every song was good. Not just a few.
Damn right.
The irony of you calling a Flaw album flawless. lol.
Ahhh I see what u did there
One of the few albums I dont skip a track. Every song on it is a banger
My absolute favorites on it are Only The Strong, Payback, My Letter and Get Up Again.
I'm 49 and yes, STILL JAMMING THIS!
46 here, from the Louisville area, so I know Flaw well.
Now, you are 51 and STILL jamming this. 😁
I’m 50 and still love it too!
Turned 50 last month and I freakin' love this song. Impossible to sit still while listening.
Rock on it's bad ass
One of the most simple and heaviest riffs ever
Through the eyes, M3, Superbuick, Motograter, and Hybrid theory will always be my favorite albums.

Who remembers TekWorld?? These guys are from my hometown Louisville and rocked the fuck out of that venue back in the day!
+Chad Cook So many great memories at TekWorld, a lot of great local bands played there.
Chad Cook lol. Tekworld. Saw From Zero there once too.
