Continue through the ST discography as we analyse and react to the Sleep Token song Take Aim. A folksy track that has Pop Lover Sussan swaying and Metal Lover Dave 'meh'ing. The track rankings this week couldn't be further apart. Will it end in divorce? Maybe. You'll have to watch the whole episode to find out!

This track has grown on me , it’s too hard to rank ST. I find that my favorites change daily. Gun to my head- rank # 20.

I’m a melody snob. However Vore is probably 5 for me. Currently # 1 is Ascensionism that song is to me a masterpiece . I do like heavy but I consider myself very eclectic. I like interesting music, otherwise I just get bored.
I agree, ascensionism is an absolute masterpiece. It's the perfect mix of melody & heavy. I'm grappling with if it's at the #1 spot though.

This song definitely sounds like it belongs in some Disney track replaced with happy lyrics, something like Brave. I haven't really dissected the lyrics till now. Maybe it's about the Narrator (Vessel) saying that though this relationship isn't good for me I still can't help it, I need you, I'm still in love... maybe?
I love songs that make you think but saddly ranking wise... It's gotta be 28. I'm leaving more room for other songs that might be ranked lower but I'd still listen to it in the background when i'm not really paying too much attention to the music. Who know it might move up or possibly down later on.
I like the way you are ranking. There is some great justifications going on!
I think your assessment of the song is pretty spot on too, it doesn't demand all my attention either so I feel you.

So, "break me apart"... he's come to the conclusion now that he's okay with Sleep ruining him even further, as long as she doesn't leave him. If he's gonna suffer either way... let it be with Sleep.
Other than that, I think Sussi really had this one in the bag! My interpretation isn't too far off, though the "I will fire and forget 'til we both lay broken" went RIGHT over my head before... didn't realize Vessel was this freaky deeky! But it definitely does make sense
edit: the Pocahontas bit had me in STITCHES 😂😂
She does love herself some "Take Aim"!

@@angryroads I'll admit, I'm more of a metal head myself, and I usually skip this song if I can help it... but it's a great song still! Hits a little too close to home sometimes so i try not to delve too deep into it, but I still very much appreciate it :)
I think as we go deeper through the discography we find that Vessel indeed is freaky deeky and I love that for him 🥰
And while I don't subscribe to the "sleep" theory, I do appreciate the idea that Vessel is willing to do anything to feel joy...even if it causes him a lot of pain.
