"And you make me hate myself. Make me tear my body. Make me yearn for your embrace." Happy tune, very dark lyrics! Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

Unfortunately I was too wrapped up in listening to the music again, repeat listens will help with lyrics 🙂

Musically this song makes me feel like nostalgic about childhood memories, obviously the lyrics are a different story but such a great sound on this song 👌

The moment at 5:38 always gets me. That pause than attack at a surprising beat in the rhythm hits me in the feels! Not my favorite sleep token track but still gorgeous and the lyrics are beautiful as well. I love the music,,, I love lyrics… when they both hit, that’s when songs because not only great songs, but in my mind almost in unbelievable that they were birthed into existence and special.

Different things get me in different songs, it all depends on the context 😊 I am going to feel empty once I have finished the journey 😂

This song is definitely MUSICALLY uplifting but the LYRICS, man, they're definitely not at all happy like the music. Still a gorgeous song tho.
That's really one of The things that I love about sleep token. None of their songs sound alike. You know how in some bands they all may be different songs, different lyrics, different themes but in the end they all still kind of sound the same..... Like AC/DC (I saw your shirt 😊) who I really love, but it still sounds exactly like almost every other song they have the same kind of sound lol. But sleep token between each song there's a different vibe, a different feel, a different sound. It's amazing. Glad you're enjoying the journey, and us sleep token fans get to enjoy it all over again through you😊. That's why we love reaction videos. Till the next one.....✌️
    ❤ Worship ❤

I have been getting that vibe from what the comments have been saying 😂
I think the anonymity helps with the style jumping. A lot of other bands will try to change once or twice but be beaten back into place by their fan base pretty quickly because people know who they are, or at least a surface level image of such. Where as Vessel, II and Sleep Token seem like more of an idea than people, it is easier to attack a band with faces than it is an idea with none.
Also, what I just said does not apply to AC/DC, they found their style and stuck to it for 4958 songs 😂

@@BraindeadBreakdown Wow...THAT many?? Man, I like them and all, but I don't know all of their songs OBVIOUSLY 😭😂🤣
When I was a teenager, I rode horses and my Dad built a barn, ran electricity to it. He found an old jukebox he put out there and a fridge that always had beer in it. 😂😂
Long story short, You Shook Me was on one side of the 45 ( yes, very OLD jukebox 😂) and Have a Drink On Me on the other. Me and my BF played the shit out of that record cuz other than some Foreigner, and Joan Jett the rest of the jukebox was country.....😩
I'm not a country fan, well not OLD country. I can tolerate country -rock. But that's about it.
      Good times 😁😁

It may have been a wee bit of an exaggeration 😂
That is amazing! As someone who grew up in very small places, that sounds like a dream! 😂 (except for the country music of course)

There are a few tracks like this that serve as valleys among the songs that feature emotional peaks and they're all beautiful. I don't think they were ever intended to knock anyone's socks off or be complex enough to opine at length on, but they serve their purpose very well. I see others have pointed it out, but whenever you run up against a song like this one that sounds uplifting and almost like a long interlude, chances are the lyrics are dark and mournful. A real study in contrasts. That said, don't worry about picking the lyrics up in the first listen since you're like me and you pay more attention to the overall music. Just enjoy!

I really can't help it, if I try to focus on lyrics I lose the insight into the thing I have an understanding of 😂 I realised that in the 2 videos I recorded whilst having the lyrics up! I am glad that you understand though!

My man. I should confess...i am also a guitar playing "metalhead" who loves music. FNM and prog opened my eyes to the diversity of music. As someone who also appreciates the uplifting melancholy, may i stick my head above the parapet and suggest you listen to A-ha's "hunting high and low"... Yes, Leftfield... But you will find epic songwriting, beautiful melancholy and an insane collection of chords (work it out on guitar). I believe you're the only sleep token reaction person who might get it. I'd bet my right kidney that Vessel was inspired by them. Trust me 😅

I will add it to the list 🙂 hopefully I don't disappoint and I am able to see where you are coming from! Another thing though is there is a high chance that song might get blocked for copyright. Older and more established labels are hot on it for blocking videos! So far I have 4 that I have had to remove because no one would have seen them.

Yes. The music was uplifting, the lyrics weren't.
