This album is a true gem. Along with Restoring Force by Of Mice & Men, Understanding What We've Grown to Be by We Came As Romans and Two-Faced Charade by Famous Last Words, without a doubt, my favorites!
What people fail to realize, is that just one scream in a metal video, for the most part, displays more emotion than some entire songs of other genres. Metal isn't just screaming to a kickass beat, it's pouring out your emotions in a way no other genre can touch.
Lyrics! The stage is set, the disillusion begins You tell yourself that you can't believe them They're gonna say what they want you to hear, You should be dead now just like the rest You took your shots, and I swallowed the bullets You did your worst and I'm dying to prove it They're gonna say what they want you to hear, You should be dead now just like the rest They'll forget you, and everything that you are Stop pretending, you're just like the rest I'm where you wanna be, and I can see straight till the end. When the lights go out you know that it's all or it's nothing. I know that we, we will hold our own. When the lights go out you know that it's all or it's nothing. We won't fall! The stage is set, the panic's starting to grow You see the terror in no tomorrow They're gonna say what they want you to hear, You should be dead now just like the rest They will forget you, and everything that you are So stop pretending, you're just like the rest I'm where you wanna be, and I can see straight till the end. When the lights go out you know that it's all or it's nothing. I know that we, we will hold our own. When the lights go out you know that it's all or it's nothing. We won't fall! This lives in all of us, this lives in all of you. [x3] I can see in the light of your eyes, I can see through all the lies. This lives in all of us, inside of all of us! [x2] Inside of us all! [x2]
I can't believe that I'm just now actually getting into BTF, I've been listening to this genre from YEARS now, and this album EASILY goes down in my top 10 already. Great to see this kind of music keep on evolving and growing!
Milligram Smile Reminds me of Higinia as well. My list.. -Exodus -You Wear A Crown but You're No King -Hollow Bodies -The Sound Of Starting Over -Youngbloods -Open Water
this band has come such a long way. and personally i think this is the right direction. The sound has become so unique and everything about the music is more detailed. Finally showing the talent that they have as a band. loved his last walk, but this is on another level
I've always been a huge fan of BTF. Even way back when all they had were demos. But with this album, I put off listening to it for a long while. With their last album, I kinda felt like they lost themselves just a bit. But Hollow Bodies brings it all together. They are totally on point. Don't know why I put off listening to it till just earlier this month
well ,i felt the same... but hear them today in 2022, they will never recover...they used to made my life have a meaning when i felt lost. Shadow of Intent is now my fav band since 2016
Back in 2011 I went to BTF show in reno ,NV it was such a sick show I remember Beau Bokan climbed up on to this Plat forum atleast 13-15 feet from the stage and jumped off into the crowd !!!! It was crazy epic!!!!
Sempiternal, Feel, An Eye For An Eye, Fragile Figures, Tracing Back Roots, From Death To Destiny, Below The Noise, American Dream, and Hollow Bodies! All the albums this year have been truly great so far :D looking forward to more awesome music coming out this year.
I'm gonna be honest here. I'm not a huge fan of this kind of metal anymore, so I wasn't too enthusiastic about the release of Hollow Bodies. But when I saw Fearless put the whole album up in a high quality format, I decided to give it a chance... and I am blown away. The amount blessthefall has improved is insane. And the production is fucking superb. Thanks Fearless, I will be buying this album, now that I was given the chance to hear it in it's entirety.
Anyone who might be interested in some new music, give us a listen! Especially if you like Blessthefall, The Word Alive or Memphis May Fire. We're hitting the studio this month, and releasing our new EP soon!
Favorite song off the whole album which is ironically track 1 off Hollow Bodies. Without a doubt blessthefall's second best album next to Witness as their best. Needs a music video! Hell of a good opener to the album!
Never realized that this was about the potential fall of their career. Eric posted about this album on Instagram and talked about how they thought this would be their last album, while they were writing it.
They should make a music video for exodus, and I have a rad idea (tell me how you guys think): The lights suddenly turn on when the music starts, and it shows the band on a stage, calmly bouncing on their feet, and getting ready for the song to really start. When it starts, the stage lights go crazy, and when Jared comes in with the screams, white lights flash like how they do in a live concert setting. There is no radical movements, just heavy and brutal head-banging. And they keep going like that, and until Beau comes in with “I’m where you want to be,” and the lights turn off when he sings that: then, the lights come back on, and it’s purplish, bluish, and kind of calm, comforting colors in the chorus. When the song goes back to its verse, the lights go crazy, déjà vu of the first verse. Then, during the break-down when Jared screams “they will forget you” and so on, the lights calm down a TINY BIT, and the white lights swing around like how they do in a crime movie, when the lights swoop around the night sky. And then Beau comes back in with “I’m where you want to be,” and this time the lights do not turn off. The chorus is the déjà vu of the first chorus, and when the song slows down considerably after the chorus, the lights turn off except for a spotlight on either Elliot or Eric, whoever is playing the guitar part after chorus, and he’s playing with his head bowed. When the drum and the vocals come in, the whole band shares one big spotlight, and Beau is on his knees, and is singing with his head bowed, as if he’s exhausted. The whole band is playing with their heads bowed. When “I can see the light of your eyes” part comes, everyone is vitalized, and they are playing with all of their hearts. The lights at this time is a smaller, calmer, and more comforting lights than the lights of the chorus. When the song slows down and goes back to the slow, soft part of the song, Beau collapses into a kneeling position, and sings with his head down. After the song is over, they put their instruments down, and Beau places his mike on the center of the stage, and exits the stage, and here’s the inception kind of shit: it reveals to us, the viewers, that the stage they have been playing on was actually empty, and there is no audience.
This whole album will be my lullaby song for when I can't sleep at night and it'll be my bedtime story for when it's time to go to sleep. Didn't think it was possible for adults to have lullaby songs and bedtime stories but I guess I was wrong hahahahaha BTF FUCKIN ROCKS.
Who freaking cares if they are "post-hardcore" or "metalcore". Why does everything have to have some kind of bullshit subclass? Most of us can agree on one thing at least..... this is fucking awesome!
This album starts off extremely strong. Gotta love the piano addition to this song. Hollow Bodies was one of the last albums I got to really enjoy before the metalcore scene started to saturate.
Wow i remember gaming with no life playing Aura Kingdom to this album all day every day for almost a year straight. Forgot how amazing this was after not hearing it for so long
Happy they still keep their roots. I still miss Craig in blessthefall but Beau & the others still keep making amazing albums! Wonder why its called Exodus though...
been raging to BtF since their debut album with craig. I love everything this band has to offer. seems a little mainstream but i think their staying true to their roots.
I'm surprised this band is still around last time I listened to them it was a low quality EP or something, probably 10 years ago now. They've come a long way.
in 2009 they released their second studio album "Witness" which was also the first album with their new singer Beau. Craig Mabbitt was the singer on their 2007 album "His Last Walk" .... Witness was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette but it was a really good production. He also produced Falling In Reverse.
This album was soooo ahead of its time. It's insane.
We're lucky
Hollow Bodies is their best album. I still like the band but this sound fits them so well
I agree i still go back to Hollow Bodies all the time 🤘🏻
Same. I wish they explored this sound more because To Those Left Behind is a bit disappointing and Hard Feelings was alright.
The entire album is timeless....it's just so good
My love for this song will never die as long as I live.
alittlelitesalt how have it been since 2015?
@@buzzyogurtlight0 :D
Who's going to the Hollow Bodies 10 Year Anniversary Tour??
I did! and it was epic also on my TH-cam Channel 😅🤘🏼
I went and it was like I was in 2013
dude it was the best show ive been to in years i was at the show in boston
This album is a true gem. Along with Restoring Force by Of Mice & Men, Understanding What We've Grown to Be by We Came As Romans and Two-Faced Charade by Famous Last Words, without a doubt, my favorites!
i miss this era, i was still single at this time, now married with 2 kids still listening to this
It's the only way. Pass this on to your kids when they get older.
Best BTF album to date. Such a fantastic album.
I just got into metal 5 months ago man was I missing out
Welcome !
you have been baptized in the music of the gods
Hahaha welcome, I have been in the metal community since I was in the womb, Its a beautiful thing.
What people fail to realize, is that just one scream in a metal video, for the most part, displays more emotion than some entire songs of other genres. Metal isn't just screaming to a kickass beat, it's pouring out your emotions in a way no other genre can touch.
Carlos Aponte This.

tristananvilcaster Thank you so much!! :-D
Wow👍
I can't believe that I'm just now actually getting into BTF, I've been listening to this genre from YEARS now, and this album EASILY goes down in my top 10 already. Great to see this kind of music keep on evolving and growing!
one of the most beautiful intros in the history of metalcore
my favorites of this record:
- Exodus
- Deja Vu
- Buried In These Walls
- See You On The Outside
- The Sound Of Starting Over
- Open Water
Milligram Smile I'm with you on that. Déja Vu and The Sound of Starting Over are the cherries on top of the cake that was this whole album.
taillyho yep. "the sound of starting over" is the "we'll sleep when we're dead" on the hollow bodies album. ha.
Milligram Smile Reminds me of Higinia as well.
My list..
-Exodus
-You Wear A Crown but You're No King
-Hollow Bodies
-The Sound Of Starting Over
-Youngbloods
-Open Water
How could you forgot about “Carry On”?..
No hollow bodies ? 😲
this band has come such a long way. and personally i think this is the right direction. The sound has become so unique and everything about the music is more detailed. Finally showing the talent that they have as a band. loved his last walk, but this is on another level
I still fucking love this song after all these years. It's getting better and better.
I remember when this album came out and I heard it for the first time. What a time to be alive.
I've always been a huge fan of BTF. Even way back when all they had were demos.
But with this album, I put off listening to it for a long while. With their last album, I kinda felt like they lost themselves just a bit. But Hollow Bodies brings it all together. They are totally on point. Don't know why I put off listening to it till just earlier this month
pretty much this.
Candace Berger
By Far The Most Amazing Album That they have made...
Awakening was fuckin fire what u talkin bout!
well ,i felt the same... but hear them today in 2022, they will never recover...they used to made my life have a meaning when i felt lost. Shadow of Intent is now my fav band since 2016
This song needs a music video!
This album has set a new precedence for metalcore bands everywhere. Best album I have heard all year.
10 years later, you were absolutely correct!
THE CLEAN VOCALS ARE KILLING ME HES SO GOOD
ah dont you just love it when bands change their sounds and make something amazing even better
DAMN! LOVE THIS SONG, ESPECIALLY THE INTRO
Back in 2011 I went to BTF show in reno ,NV it was such a sick show I remember Beau Bokan climbed up on to this Plat forum atleast 13-15 feet from the stage and jumped off into the crowd !!!! It was crazy epic!!!!
all i can say is that BTF has pulled out the master piece of 2013
and my favourite album of all time, every single song is just perfection!
These guys always know which song to open with on their track list.
this song is amazing, i gonna get in to this band
Do it! You don't be disappointed. Check out the first album for sure.
Just realized you posted 6 years ago 😆
Did you end up getting into this band?
Sounds like shadow Moses
i cant believe how perfect this is! so glad i found this band!
BlessTheFall Never Disappoints.
this is by far their best album!
And i love the fact that this album is in C. this band will do great things in C!
His Last Walk is one of their best albums!
This album came out a day before my bday, so surely God wanted me to have it ;)
haha it came out the day AFTER mine, so destiny favors us both xD
Ronboy Woodley LOL :D
Ayyeee looks like we have the same bday homie :)
Fabio Pires Best day of the year bro!!!
***** Don't....
It’s so hard to think this is already a decade old.
Yeah hollow bodies like bmth riffs sempiternal album

Listening to this again after 4-5 years, man what a song. Instrumentals are insane.
Jared makes it more amazing. He's like the main energy source of this band.
Words of the wise....everyone needs to listen to this guy!
Anyone who might be interested in some new music, give us a listen! Especially if you like Blessthefall, The Word Alive or Memphis May Fire. We're hitting the studio this month, and releasing our new EP soon!
this song is life
I was listening to pierce the veil when an ad for this came up! I clicked to it and I can say hat I'm impressed!
Yesterday at Fan Expo, i met Beau and LIGHTS! It was so awesome! They're sooooo nice!
Jared really polished his screams, loved him since His Last Walk
Beau wasent kidding when he said drums and guitar stepped it up omg the album is AMAZING
Favorite song off the whole album which is ironically track 1 off Hollow Bodies. Without a doubt blessthefall's second best album next to Witness as their best. Needs a music video! Hell of a good opener to the album!
Pre-Ordered it at warped! Who knew it would come a day early! Thanks Fearless Records!
I've always love the melody at 0:26
My 2nd favorite album. Just barely behind "His last walk"
See, this is how it's done, make your songs available to listen to online, and make them good enough to compel you to buy everything they have.
This is 100% going to be the album of the year for me!
dude u have no idea. this is definitely the strongest song on their new album along with buried in these walls, open water, deja vu.
Bmth and Btf are both amazing
if this album was a person, it'd be the most beautiful, kick ass, astounding being the worlds ever seen
Never realized that this was about the potential fall of their career.
Eric posted about this album on Instagram and talked about how they thought this would be their last album, while they were writing it.
Well this album was there savior that's all I can say
