Dave's way too optimistic when he claims that if Glassman hadn't been cancelled, he would have played some significant leadership role in a response to You Know What. For starters, Greg and CF were pretty quiet before The Tweet. Julie Foucher was already undercutting any response he might have made and setting CF up for an internal battle, when she immediately and publicly jumped behind the unscientific and irrational initiatives of public "health" officials. The bulk of the same people who were waiting for the Tweet to cancel Greg would have used any response by him to The C Thing not consistent with the hysteria to attack him just as ferociously as they did over The Tweet. A lot of the same affiliate owners who de-affiliated or threatened to do so would have also done so if Greg didn't toe the official line on You Know What. Maybe Dave wasn't paying attention, but the same sort of people that pushed to cancel Greg over the Tweet, were also accusing those who didn't toe the line of murdering people. They were stark raving mad. Sounds to me like Dave might be trying to work up a rationalization for saying Greg shouldn't have made The Tweet. "If only he hadn't . . . he could have done so much . . .what a shame." No, there was nothing wrong with the Tweet. He should have been defended. Too many in the community abandoned him like cowards . . . lookin' at Rich . . . in the face of the hysterical mob.
Clearly the guy who promoted slow distance running for light and fast climbs clearly had no idea about training. In fact he then switched to CF. What a mess
This podcast was amazing. Bear since your outspoken about men in women's sports it's interesting to note that in 2018 after the firing of Russell berger, that glassman said that athletes could compete as their chosen gender, as what appears to be a capitulation to the woke mob that was going after crossfit at that time. I have all respect for glassman and what he created changed my life, and I absolutely do not think he's racist, but to bow to the woke mob as he did definitely raises so eyebrows and demands an answer
