Yes yes yessss everything you said in the beginning about the binky and replacing it! I replaced my daughters binky every time she lost it and made a noise in fear she’d wake up. The short time of freedom I had during her naps was highly valued and I felt I had to help her stay asleep. Fast forward to her at 17 months now, she’s on a floor bed and she literally crawls to the door and bangs on it when she wakes up or loses the binky. Not too often but if she can’t find it and looks for a while, she wakes herself up completely and is at the door in the middle of the night. Then from there it’s hard to get her back to sleep. So I’m definitely doing what you’re doing with Ekko this next time around!
I have a 23 month old and I feel the same way about help❤️ I’ve only ever had my husband for help when he’s not working. And we’ve never had a night or day away from her. It’s challenging sometimes but also so rewarding. I couldn’t imagine having someone else watch our baby I love her too much!! Haha I’m so beyond thankful I am able to be a stay at home mom but there’s definitely days I’m jealous of working moms, having freedom. But that’s not me. I love my daughter and I had her to raise her myself ❤️ wouldn’t ever trade my situation!!
I feel the same way about help! Sometimes I really just think going back to work would be helpful for my mental health but then I realize if I need someone to watch my son while we work on remodeling our house, it ends up upsetting me because I want to be the one to watch him. It’s a hard battle. Ultimately i would never trade being home with him (and my future son I’m pregnant with) because I get to be the one to raise them and that’s so so important to me.
Definitely needed to hear that as well!! I’m in the thick of it with my kids too (1 & 3) and I sometimes forget that they won’t always be this small 😭 and I know for sure I’ll miss this stage that were in!
Thank you for posting videos as much as u do. Having 2 kids and with other work u stil post videos for us. so appreciate it! what u said at the end was so helpful coz I don't want to leave my 3 kids and go to work too. my 3rd one is same "age" as ekko..she's was born on the 3rd of April. so I feel I'm not alone and you're like a friend. 😍😁
The one thing I truly miss my 18 month boy was younger was breast feeding him🤍 just that connection you have with your baby and being able to feed them from your body💙 Now it’s throwing food on the floor and feeding our dogs all my hard work 😩
How long are little woman’s naps? Our 4 month old has some awesome 2 hour naps and some 45 min naps and it’s driving me crazy! I never know if I’m going to have time to do something or if baby is going to wake up 🫠 Are hers consistent or all over the place at her age as far as length goes?
You are a very good mother and it seems like you got this lol And your husband helps .Have Fun they grow up and you wake up and ask yourself where has time gone. Enjoy each other.
Love this one! Question: does Ekko sleep in her snuggle me overnight too, or just during naps? Trying to work out how to help my guy sleep better overnight in his bassinet!
Hate to be “that” person, but Snuggle Me loungers are not safe in cribs or for unsupervised sleep (says so on their website). Yes, we’ve all used the lounger for daytime naps while watching close by, but l’d be super nervous to use one overnight. Try a swaddle for the same “snuggled” effect overnight!
We do use it overnight but yes it is not supposed to be used that way. We do what works for us and what we find comfortable but I would never advise anyone to do the same. But I also don’t want to lie about what works for us! Probably not the answer you want to hear but just being honest. 🤎
Hey Kilean, I See that Y'all made it back safely from your Vacation. I always enjoyed being on vacation with my Family, But it always felt so nice coming back home to.. I Love Ekko's little outfit so adorable. You always dress both of your babies in such cute clothes..You guys are doing amazing as parents ! Rocky Boy is so smart.. I think a lot of it is because your always working with him and teaching him. By the way I need to maybe get on the Ritual vitamins for myself. Do you know if they have a vitamin for like for going through menopause. ? I need something. I had a emergency Hysterectomy when I was in my 30s. So I've been going through it for many long years. Nothing seems to help me feel better. I take hormone med's but still feel crappy. Sorry for over sharing lol. Tell Mr Nathaniel that it's not nice to tease about desert, then not get it.. I'd be so mad. Lol. I Love you guys. I hope that Y'all have a wonderful Weekend. Love From your Indiana Friend.
How much is your husband around? I understand not getting additional help if your husband is home a lot and helpful, but for a mom who is literally home alone with little ones all of their waking hours.... omg I need help or I lose it and my health deteriorates. My husband works 8-8 six days a week. It's insane, some weeks its less, home more like 6pm, but still... they go to bed at 7:30 and I'm up since 6. I wouldn't want to go to work and leave them with a sitter or daycare all day even if I made a million a year and could afford it, but there's no way I can SAHM with 2 under 2 (plus I have an 8 year old and some teens) without relief.
This is TOTALLY not my situation and my goodness I would never say you shouldn’t get help if you need/want it no matter what your situation is! I was just finding myself looking for others to watch my kids often when I really didn’t need the help as much as I was thinking I did. Hope that makes sense 🤎
