    Hi Mark
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, and to send a question.
Unfortunately it's not a simple answer but I'll hopefully give you an Idea.
Over the last year i had a 2 board quiver for my wave boards.
    88 hyper + 78 hyper
Because of the extreme shape of the board you can use a large volume but still find it extremely manouverable. Most of the time i was on the larger size to get me on the wave easier and to perform in light wind. When the wind was solid for 4.6 and below i would take the smaller board for the control.
I would also consider the waves. If the wave was small or soft i would take the bigger board. If the wave was big or powerful id take the smaller board.
This year I have added to the above quiver. I have a 82L ultra. I have only used it once so far but i am seriously impressed. I think its size and style will lead it to being my most used board.
Please also take in to account experience.... I am very lucky to windsurf constantly each week. This keeps the key skills of balance, tacks, gybes and early planning sharp and efficient. If you are just getting back in to it. Please consider a slightly larger size. It will also help to get you out on the wayer regularly and in ligher winds to increase your progress.
If you can maybe chat to some local riders at your spot to get an idea of the conditions you get regularly and if you can maybe see if a demo of a board is possible.
    I hope these thoughts help.
    Sunny regards
    Phil

Thanks Phil, that's great feedback. The new genre of gear is very different. I started back in November last year, sailed 'our' summer on a 84 jp freestyle wave which was way too big in 30 knots on my 4.2 wave sail. You have confirmed that a 68 wave board is the next step along with sails smaller than 4.2 😊
      Thanks so much,
      Mark

Hey andre pellecom here. Could you tell me ( i see you have a kind thesame poisture as me . I’m 1.60m height for 64 kg
I’m searching for sails and extra wave board for light wind . Is the hyper 88 ideal for light wind.
I want to buy also severne sails s1 or blade . Do you think the s1 is better for small people?
    Grtz andre
    Thxs in advance

Hi Phil, i love your videos and so please keep them coming. I'm just getting back into windsurfing after 20 something years. Given that we're of the same weigt range, I'd love to know what size boards you use. Cheers, Mark- Melbourne, Australia
